I think this year, promising projects that are developing decentralized exchanges. This is 0x, Bancor, Waves, Bts. I also really like projects that are developing cloud computing. This is rlc, sonm, golem.
Finally something for gamers I got sent this WP, they seem to change the attitude to advertising in computer/mobile games. All the studies and surveys have proven that well-made, meaning non-intrusive in the virtual reality integrated adverts, r perceived as from non-irritating to positive on hand of the heightened realism
my opinion: Merculet, Egretia, Two projects are highly rated by the community
I believe that Bitcoin will be the most valuable coin by the end of 2018, because he is the founder of all the crypto currency. In second place will be the Ethereum, in third place DASH, in the fourth place of Monero, and on the fifth Ripple.
I most agree and have similar opinion with you but in the last i would put stellar to change the ripple. Ripple has very bad issues last time. Despite the issues are true or not but its impact the reputation of ripple.

1) AION - their mainnet lauch is near
2) Zilliqa - Future tough competitor of ethereum as per their roadmap mainnet will be lauch in end of 2018
4) Tron - Again Tron is the tough competitor of ethereum recently they have launched their testnet since then it is in hype
5) IOST - Again this project is also tough competitor of ethereum and worth investing they planning to launch their mainnet ahead of roadmap by July 2018 this shows how serious they are about their project.
All the above projects are on listed top 5 international exchanges and have huge trading volumes. All the above 5 tokens I have mentioned will rise in value as their mainnet will come closer.

There are coins and there are tokens. A token typically has a utility associated with it. BTC, BCC, etc. are coins. There’s a technical difference. Keep studying crypto. You’ll get it soon enough.

Everybody would have different idea about altcoin because their portofolio will not the same with each other.
For me your portofolio is good enough but i dont like one altcoin that is eos. I more prefer to sether or Cardano. It seems like sether is sleeping giant.
in 2018, I would prefer these tokens: 1. ETH-the most necessary. 2.BTC-the most popular. 3. Monero-one of the anonymous. 4. Waves- platform token and token with one of the fastest transaction speeds. 5.NEO- Ethereum analogue, having good outlook
