For this week i think Dogecoin is the best alternative to eaarn a good profit because McAfee share this coin for ''coin of the week.'' For your question i think ADA, Verge and Tron can increase in this month.

There are a lot of new altcoins that is coming out this year again but i do not think that some of them do really have a potential to increase. Most of the altcoins that are being released by ico's are not increasing its price in the market so i still prefer on investing in my ethcoins because it was slowly increasing its value each day.
My best choices for January are the Oyster Protocol (PRL) protocol, APPcoins - appstore protocol - the Ico price is less than 30 cents, but after listing it goes up to 3-4 dollars, until the price is the same as AION Network..
I am sharing you my special choices (Because I am a risk-taker or pursuer >_<, I invest in special altcoins)

LEND. It just got listed on OKEX. Awesome project which is actually working right now. Lending crypto might be the future because it has so many advantages to lending fiat at a bank.

mine would be ETH, CARDANO, XLM, IOTA, and TRON. suggest you to buy tron and hold it for a long term. it sure worthed for you. soon after this red day pass tron will be pumped up so much. i believe it and will hold it for a year. i put all my hope in TRON.

My only choice is ethereum coins, This coins manage to increase to 1k dollars and before it was just 300$, It only means that there are a lot of people who are really interested on this coins and because of that, The value of this coin in the market is keep on decreasing.

Forget about all these, people are buying anything that's cheap. Anything like Mooncoin, Dent, Linda. Everthing that is worth 0.0000001$. Don't belive me? Check coinmarketcap.
Yes, KingKrypto is right. It is surely a higher risk to invest into the coins/tokens of small value, both short and long term, but the possibility of multiplying the return on investment are also very high.
Example: Ethereum - worth around 1.000 USD. Where can it go - to 10.000 USD? Unlikely, but maybe..... Now, imagine a coin worth 0.0000001USD. What happens if it goes to 0.1? Oh yeah, you immagined it right. However, the problem is - you need to investigate and put some trust in the project. It is easy to trust top 15 coins, they have already shown the development and persistance.
Hence - read the technical paper, try to check the development team, and keep the track of the community on Bitcointalk, Telegram, Facebook and other.
