Desktop version of Electrum as a hot wallet.
My mobile version uses Trust Wallet and Blue Wallet.
The cold wallet is the main wallet for storing to be much more secure.

There are many hot wallets to choose from, I don't know which is the top one but I try to pick Electrum as my favorite.

If you have a laptop, start using Electrum wallet, an android? Same, a iPhone? Blue wallet, all these wallets are very good choices but the rest is in your hand, you need to keep your recovery seed safe, if someone find their way into your wallet and steal your Bitcoin its your fault, so keep it very.

The difference is Electrum is an open source wallet and it has one of the best reviews ever, do not use any custodial wallet to store your Bitcoin.

Electrum wallet has been tried and true for me for several years, even though I haven't bought a hardware wallet like trezor, so far this Electrum is good on desktop, the electrum on android is also okay. And I also think the Sparrow looks good to use as well.

in fact, I also want to try the sparrow., But if there is a hardware wallet to buy, of course it is better to buy it so that our assets are 100% safe. Although electrum is also 100% safe as long as you save the private key, or seed phrase of the address you will use.

In general, a hardware wallet is the most reliable option for safeguarding your cryptocurrencies.
Offline/cold wallets are one of the most reliable, not only hardware wallet. For privacy, wallet on airgapped device would be most reliable, or a paper wallet if you are able to make use of both properly. You do not have to buy a wallet through company that can leak your data online which can make hackers to know that you are likely one of the hardware wallet users. Hardware wallets that are open source are good if you are not worried of future data leak. Or maybe buy it offline from a trusted official reseller.

There are online wallet setup that are safe too, but single sig wallet should not be considered one. A good example is a well properly generated multisig wallet. But I consider this to be used for business than individual to use it. Although, there may be some individuals that may prefer to use a multisig wallet. Another one is the Electrum 2FA wallet in which you can have the 2FA on another device different from the one you used to setup the wallet. I think this setup is safe too.

It depends on what features you are looking for. There is no one size fits all wallet. Electrum is a beginner friendly wallet that is rich with features. It is probably the best wallet for the majority of users.

But Metamask is not a Bitcoin Wallet
It supports bitcoin.

Metamask does not support native Bitcoin. It is a wallet designed for EVM compatible networks. You can use it for Wrapped Bitcoin but this token is not really bitcoin. There is an Ordinals marketplace that let's link your Metamask wallet and it will create BTC addresses for you but you will need to always be connected to this website because the Metamask interface doesn't support any Bitcoin features.

But it's a bit of a pity that it still doesn't have an iPhone version, and since I switched to iPhone, I can only use my Electrum on my laptop.

Either way, you should still consider owning a hardware wallet as it is still the safest option.
You can use blue wallet if you're looking a non custodial and open source wallet as good as electrum, it already support for iOS.

I think some people already skeptic about hardware wallet due to ledger had announced they will share encrypted private key to third party, the best choice is you need to set up your own cold storage.

So the best to worst wallet is:
1. Own created cold storage
2. Hardware wallet from centralized company
3. Mobile non custodial wallet
4. Custodial wallet

Which hot wallets are top in your opinion?
I notice that you are not slow to learn about wallets and wallet security.

Bitcoin Core and Electrum have proven to be the best wallets for storing Bitcoin assets.
These two wallets are best used on the desktop version although Electrum is also available on the mobile version.
To provide a strong level of security, use multi-signature by connecting to a hardware wallet.

I would like to add Unstoppable Wallet for the mobile version in addition to the already recommended Blue Wallet.

Good evening,
Which hot wallets are top in your opinion?
As long as you choose an open source and non-custodial wallet, you should be safe with it. But if you are a newbie and need to find a wallet that ensures all safety, security and ease of use criteria, then I think Electrum is your choice. I have also used many wallets for both phones and laptops but in the end, I chose Electrum because it has everything I need. But it's a bit of a pity that it still doesn't have an iPhone version, and since I switched to iPhone, I can only use my Electrum on my laptop.

Either way, you should still consider owning a hardware wallet as it is still the safest option.

Which hot wallets are top in your opinion?
It is Electrum wallet because you can have a hot wallet with this wallet software on your mobile. You can use Lightning Network if you want but Lightning Network is offchain.

[GUIDE] How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum. Verify what you download even you get it from the official website of Electrum wallet.

Electrum official download page. Don't trust me and the official website even can be compromised too. Verify the GPG signatures of Electrum developers.

Quote
Our executables are reproducible, and are signed independently by several builders.
The current executables have been signed by ThomasV, SomberNight, Emzy.
You will get GPG signatures of developers at the download page.

If you can't avail yet a hardware wallet, it's best to stick with what has been trusted and known by the majority and that's none other than Electrum.

Coinomi is probably my favorite.
I have used this before but I'm not going to store a lot of Bitcoin in here. It's a multi wallet, handy and easy to use but it has some controversy before and I think that you're also aware of it.

Coinomi is probably my favorite.  Ballet is also a solid wallet (it's both a hardware/hotwallet blend sort of). Electrum of course.

Good evening,
Which hot wallets are top in your opinion?
for desktop, I'd say Electrum, I've been using them for years, and though there are some bugs I have experienced throughout the years of using Electrum, they are still one of the top wallets out there and they are pretty easy to use too and would recommend it to people who are new to bitcoin.

But Metamask is not a Bitcoin Wallet
It supports bitcoin.
they do? don't they only support wBTC?

Can u explain why you would use Sparrow on MacOS instead of Bluewallet ?

You should check their official websites and compare the features and overall user experience of both wallets. To put it simply, Sparrow wallet seems to have a broader range of features when compared to Blue Wallet. However, at the end of the day, it boils down to personal preferences; some folks prioritize feature-rich options, while others prefer a simpler, more user-friendly experience.

Which hot wallets are top in your opinion?

All cold storage wallets are what we should recognized as top wallet to use, if you can make use of bitcoincore client by downloading the software for maximum security is also good and better than all other means, but always try to avoid any hot or online wallet especially those from the centralized exchanges and online mobile wallets, hardware wallets are also a good take but try to avoid ledger, electrum is also a multisig bitcoin wallet you could use.

Electrum wallet stands out, out there when you take about hot wallets or non custodial wallets but, the level of security it gets depends on you who owns the wallet as per how open you are to what it is, the exposure you give it lying there on your screen for all to see and most times on an already installed device, you access it with a password rather than seed phrases. Seed phrases becomes useful while installing on a different device (Importing) and its ability to do that is what makes it the most dangerous to be care free about and so, you must be particulate and private about them.

Considering your concern for fund security, why not opt for a hardware wallet? It offers more security compared to a hot wallet. Although opinions may vary, I personally use the Ledger hardware wallet. However, I'm currently contemplating a switch to another hardware wallet. Before switching to Ledger, I had been using the Electrum hot wallet, which you might consider as well. Just be cautious about phishing attempts, updates, and viruses. It's worth noting that there have been past incidents where users lost funds from their Electrum wallets due to update attacks. In general, a hardware wallet is the most reliable option for safeguarding your cryptocurrencies.

As someone who sits in front of their computer for the most part of their waking hours, Electrum is the best wallet for me. It's safe, it's secure provided that you don't go stupid and save your seed phrase somewhere unsafe, and it's just there basically. Plus it's portable and you're able to pull it up whenever you need it which is more than enough of what you need for most of these wallets. I get that there's wallets that are now available on the phone and on the fly but I just can't trust them for some reason, especially those that you can download on Google Play and App Store besides the ones that we already know like Trust Wallet and so on and so forth. So I stay a firm advocate of Electrum Wallet through and through just cause it does the things I want perfectly.

OP there are lots of hot wallets available but it depends on what you want to do or what you are actually looking for. Make or state what you are really after so you could get the best based on your description. Some of the wallets mentioned here are very much highly sophisticated and are of different operating formats. so it is best you say what you want to do with is so you could be guided by members who are ver familiar with the wallets that best suite your requirement.

There maybe other wallet but I would have to say electrum is my best option, it's safe as I have used it without issues, easy to use, you can check out more information about it on
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0

You actually need to understand that their is custodial wallet and non custodial wallet, you actually have to understand the both.
You can check out this thread to help you out

If you’re not very new in the sphere, it may be worthwile to check out Sparrow and other privacy solutions. Electrum is my choice for most use cases anyway. You can use it through Tails and for building privacy on top of your UTXOs, there are a few solutions out there including mixers and moving through XMR and back to break links.
I prefer Electrum and it is not bad and not going to be hard for newbies that knows what they are doing. What they just have to do which is most important is to backup their seed phrase safely and securely and protect their device from online attack. I see Sparrow not to be that easy too, but would be easy for newbies that know what they are doing.

What are you looking for? It’s the first question you gotta ask yourself when choosing a wallet to store your BTC. In most cases, Electrum or Bitcoin Core is enough and provides both security and features. If you’re new, I think wallets like Sparrow that help with privacy are pretty much useless because the mistakes you’ll make will cancel all your efforts to get some privacy.
