If you have a laptop, start using Electrum wallet, an android? Same, a iPhone? Blue wallet, all these wallets are very good choices but the rest is in your hand, you need to keep your recovery seed safe, if someone find their way into your wallet and steal your Bitcoin its your fault, so keep it very.
The difference is Electrum is an open source wallet and it has one of the best reviews ever, do not use any custodial wallet to store your Bitcoin.

You should learn about open source and close source crypto wallets and have knowledge about non custodial and custodial crypto wallets to choose your own favorite hot wallets. Then you will easily realize which wallet is providing you the best security.
And is Safe.Global not safer than Metamask ? they have MultiSig
