So people on here are constantly talking about trading altcoins, bitcoins, and cash. Buying and selling. Selling and buying. Are you guys actually making more money than if you just bought some bitcoin and held?

Be honest.

Do you guys not pay short term capital gains tax?

It's not about traders doing that because they can earned more money, it's just that they are taking advantage of the opportunity while at the same time holding bitcoin without touching it for long term goals.

I experienced many times to earned a decent amount just by doing trading altcoins while I keep my bitcoin for long term. Most of the alts are not meant for long term holding so basically I have to play with them for short term.

Honestly, if I found this method as not effective I will not continue it on the early days. But waves comes from the direction that I want with proper analyzation that's why I build up a good winning stats.

Just like a senior member said most of altcoins aren't worth holding for too long so in case of trading altcoins I buy them only to hold them till the time the price goes up and then sell them. Yes if I had held bitcoins from the time I started with it till now I would have earned more than I did but no regrets I'm happy with whatever I earned.

Yes absolutely but best not to dwell on it too much. I bought up some bitcoin around the Mt Govx hack and used a good chunk of it on alt-coins prior to it finally breaking $1,000 and onward. Just trying to learn from it and make better decisions from now on to be honest..

Trading has been more profitable for me than merely hoarding my coins. I buy when the price is low and I sell when it is

high, and with the profits I buy more bitcoins on the next dip in the price. If you only hoarded those coins, you would not

increase your coins. I have a goal and I am determined to reach it.  Grin

It's nearly impossible to beat buy and hold in a bull market. Having said that hivol coins will do better than lowvol coins in a bull market too so I guess many ppl move in and out of alts and back to btc and make some extra money that way.

I've only bought and hold BTC for the past months and I've made profits from doing that. I'm currently holding ETH and BTC now and thinking of doing the same thing again. Hold and sell it when the price will hike again.

I think my new goal should be to simply aim for a 1% gain in my portfolio per day. While that sounds quite small.. it is probably pretty achievable and would massively increase my totals within a few years.. compound interest is an amazing thing.

Maybe I should write that kind of tracker.. something that helps you stay on top of that and points in to up-swinging coins in an attempt to grab a few more percents off of them.

i am making money from selling altcoin, bitcoins but if i want to sell the coins, i am not selling all of the amount but i only sell it to get base budget and take some profit so i can have money from trading. even i selling my coin, i still have some amount for waiting if the coin is increase more than the last time i sell and if the coin is down, i can buy again with lower price and waiting the increase price.

I'm not the type of person who liked held a year or more for one kind of cryptocurrency although it is bitcoin but it depend on the price itself because if the situations good to sell then i would sell it although at the same day so in my view there is no exact situations for trading and trading is risky however regarding pay tax that i pay 3% - 5% for every withdraw my funds and probably you can consider it as the tax too

I'd have several million if I had just held onto everything. But I've been doing this since 2012.

With bitcoin early adopters were the one who had made more money holding bitcoin. Once after them the whales who holds a large volume of bitcoin makes a bigger earning even if the price growth was low. With trading the earning varies based on the capital volume and several other attributes. So its not that possible to mention this profits big and that profits less. Everything is completely based on the users involvement in money making.

You would make more money holding if you got into the right project early.
Like BTC, XMR, ETH, STRAT, DASH.. can't beat that with trading

for bitcoin it is still early and it will continue to rise in the long term as the demand for it increases.

the rest of them you mentioned never have a chance in long term. they all shine for a short period of time and then die off until a year or so when they get pumped again.
for these you just have to get in before the pump and run out as the pump reaches the top of the bubble.

Yes many people got successful in hodling money or hodling altcoins. They buy coins that is good for long term and will hodl for the next years. But some that are buying for short term. For just 3 minutes they can get a profit for a particular coin.

Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin
I think in crypto-market it is too risky to make long-term investments. Coins come and go, exchanges come and go. It is all too fast and anything could change in a very short period of time. Better to relate on short-term speculation.

If we have some money to buy bitcoins in the first place then that principle would be true. But since we do not have any money to purchase bitcoin and so we rely on online jobs to earn bitcoin such as engaging on signature campaigns and site moderator. But if I have enough money I would already bought lots of bitcoins few years back and I am already rich by now. Well in our country having bitcoin is not taxable but when we buy bitcoins and encash it the taxes are included in the fees our local exchange have been placed on us. Those investments you mentioned by the way is a means for us to earn more bitcoins and thus we constantly do trading and investing so if we will be lucky we can be rich in the future.

Live cams shows pimped with cryptocurrency
Trading crypto currencies brings much more income than just keeping coins. Standing jumps in the price allow you to earn very good money while at the end of the month the price may not change and you will not earn anything.

Cashback 15%
I only traded altcoins, much of which were only pumped and was just lucky to be in the right time. As for bitcoin, I made a lot of money from a humble investment since I just held for 2 years and sold. Should I have bought ETH and XMR when they were only a couple dollars, I would have made a fortune alongside my btc holdings, but nah trading is just another risk that I'd take to hopefully get some profits.
