If you don't have experiences and good trading skills, I advise you choosing invest in ICOs. If you have analyst skills, you can do research ICO projects carefully via whitepaper, website, google,...I think you will succeed in investment. And one promised project I wanna introduce you is Wepower.

I suggest investing in an ICO to multiply profit but trading is also a good idea because of the normal pump and dump.

If I were you I will pick investing in ICO, trading can lead to overtrading and when this go against you, you are likely to want to chase your money and then resulted into more loss. All you need with ICO is a good and trusted team, with time the reward will come, just don't invest all money you need for your upkeep into it.

I think that in this situation, you can try investing in a suitable tested ICO, only you need to invest a small amount. It is necessary to feel how it works. before investing significant amounts. For trading on the exchange, certain knowledge and experience are necessary. Here you also need to be careful and start trading better with small amounts and with well-known coins. The main thing is not to take chances before getting the necessary experience.

Hi, everyone. I got about $5000 to invest in crypto. Which one is more secure and profitable: trade crypto (yes, I'm a newbie) or invest in ICO?
I've made my own research and investing in several ICO's seems more attractive for me, but want to know your opinions Wink

both risky, both with opportunities,

problem is the total market is impossible to fully understand.

You can do both at the same time but be careful and don't trust anyone where to put your money. If you are just starting and you want to go on cryptocurrency trading you need to understand first everything about the coins you want to buy and do your own research. But since you still don't have knowledge about trading start buying small amount of two different coins with small value don't go all in. Investing in ICO is more risky than trading for me because most of them suddenly disappear having your money in their pockets, There are some legit ICOs but we can't tell if the project will be successful. I also do both but I don't just put my money without researching and understanding because that's the key.

If you will join the ICO then best to know about trading too. Just spare some money there and try it.
Why?
I saw in telegram that a bunch of first time investors are having a hard time on what to do with their coins or they dont even know where their coins at or how to receive it.
If you already have the knowledge in the trading industry then you wont have much of that question. Right?
Just so to minimize that questioning in the ICO's developers end.
Out of 500 questions there maybe 400 are the same asking how to receive their coins.

With newbie you need divide the capital into several parts. trade and invest ICO with a small fund. When you have experience you will have more percent wins

For everyone, not newbie. 50% of all is longterm investment to BTC 20% to alts of your choice. 15% to try traiding on exchanges. And rest to invest in 5-10 ICO.
But the main not try to go 50% in one coin or one project except BTC

ICOs are good source of income but beware of scam ico. Their is a lot of risk involved in investing in ICO. Trading on the other hand is also risky and if you have done market research then you can be successful in trading.

I think both of those things have the same risk and do not have different places. because of the nature of the world cryptocurrency have the same thing wherever it belongs. but to the question of profit, I would be much more leaning into ICO although it could just be that doesn't match expectations. But most of the profits can be obtained via the ICO, because of the advantages that we can get much bigger than trading. It's just that it all takes time, so we also have to have patience

I think ICO is a good way to make you to be a good investor since you can learn to check whether some projects are promising or not, reading the whitepapers, learning the markets and so on.

spreading your money into some investments is good it is better to that because in that way you can earn more profit than doing trading or ICOs alone and also, beware on the scam ICOs that just lurking around just to make sure that your ICO is very legit, then check if  there is a whitepaper and also, ask some members here if the ICO is legit. In trading the In trading the very important trait to have a good decision making skills ans also the knowledge in trading if you ave these 1 traits you will have profit.

I will choose trading for the long terms purpose or what we can say more or less passive source of earning money.

For ICO it is important to note that, not all of them are profitable or it may not be the case that they all will generate you handsome amount of profit all the time. Only few of them will come into market which can give you tremendous amount of money and you can benefit from he initial investment. Sometimes people get sucked into ICO because they never read the ROI value sometimes and it gets harder to carry the load of that investment until the right opportunity has arrived. So better think about the ICO is rare option of earning. Trading works best if you learn it step by step and acquire some analysis skills.

If you are a newbie, then neither.
I would recommend put 60% in bitcoin, 30% in good alts in the top 10 in marketcap, 10% in more speculative stuff.
Then you can learn trading by working with very small amounts only for several months until you have learned the ropes (or decided that you don't like it).
One thing I would say is be wary of ICOs as you'll need to do a lot of research to determine if a project is good or not, and also there is often a huge dump as soon as they hit the exchanges.
Another thing you can do is participate in bounty campaigns and airdrops.
Diversifying your investment is a really good decision. You can earn a lot of profit by doing it. Trading can be more profitable if you have the right knowledge and skills. ICOs is also a good investment. Like what he said, you should be very careful when choosing an ICO to invest on. Because nowadays, lots and lots of ICOs have been appearing and it is quite hard to determine which one is a scam and which one is good project to invest on.
The number of Ico launching everday were totally increasing too fast, reading their whitepapers sometimes weren't enough we need to do more research and analysis before we invest as well when we do trading since we might earn more if we hold it a little longer.

I would choose investments in ICO. Trading, it seems to me, is much more complicated and requires a lot of time. While selecting an object for investment is easier and the risks are still less.

I think investment in ICO is riskier, we won't know what will happen with the project. most of the ICO's is scam. they only offer a great bonus. better trading when the coins already listed on the market and it's more secure.
