Correct. Do not waste time in looking at the price. It will just stress you out.
Just buy and hodl and keep on doing it.
Patient people will be the winners here and I guess you found that out.
I have been in trading for most of the time and I can say I have done so much error with the time I sell and also buy. I forgot to HODL for a week or a month and that made sense to me. You will have to rest too and you cannot do much if there is no fluctuation.

OP, it's very good that you diversified your portfolio, a lot people tend to focus on one or two coins which is very bad because you may loose all your invested money if not careful.

I agree holding is a good strategy but you need to be careful which coins you hold. How about telling us about some of the coins you held and went bust? This will be a good eye opener for many newbies.

Hello Everyone

I'd like to share some trading tips for beginners.

When I start investing on cryptocurrencies I only use few dollars.First time I have invested 0.008btc (6400ETN)on Electroneum ICO.And when electroneum gets listed on cryptopia I sell my ETN at 0.00001200sat each ( 0.0768BTC) My money was doubled many times over.So after I sold my 6400ETN at 0.0768BTC I bought some undervalued coins like XLM,XVG,XBY,DGB.I diversify my porffolio for each of them.So far I have earn a lot from these coins multiples times.I bought XLM at 300sats,XBY at 250sats,XVG at 200sats and DGB at 150sats.See much profit I get now.But I'll suggests it's safer for beginners to hodl.Buy and Hodl.I hope my tips could help for beginners.

You guide will help the beginner. And you have some good points.Good one is
1.The beginners can start a trade with small amount first.
2.Holding is the best one for beginners.
3.We have keep the holding, till the price of holding raise maximum. Then only we will get double of the investments.

A good experience you have shared, congratulations but ETN was the great ICO in a list of few good ICOs and the earning was great no doubt and other experience is also good you have shared, I appreciate the strategy and the way how this person earned from different trade it is good criteria which coins is below than the price buy it after watching their previous candles and market trend and you can earn good profit in return,

How difficult is it to transfer between multiple currencies in a short amount of time or do I have to convert each coin into another to trade each time? I've heard of something called a Multi Fork being introduced by a coin called Bitcoin Origin. How would that even work?

Thanks for the advice. I will consider your strategy for the future. I also begin to understand how to do trading, but I can not cope with my emotions, this is my big problem. I always admire people who get traded.

Your strategy would of worked throughout 2017 or so but lately it's not so easy.

Problems now is that since BTC dropped so much people are afraid of investing. Also there are issues with SEC and regulations and many are afraid to invest in ICOs because they might lose value because they are treated as securities.

Another issue is that every day there are tons of new coins and it's hard to predict which one will make it big. You got very lucky with ETN but right now which coin do you think is the next ETN?

Exchanges are bombarded with new visitors and are also busy doing KYC and they rarely list any new small cap coins. So it's very rare to buy a small cap coin with a market cap of like $1 million and watch it go up to $100-250 million within a couple weeks.

Trading with those undervalued coins are also comes with more risk because many coins will never recover after its fall so we need to be very picky while choosing the coins to invest but short term trading is very good way to earn money but it also needs lot of efforts and research to be a successful person.Or it will be better to go with long term hold on the reputed coins.

Cool Shocked! That's already a lot of money dude, congratulations. I also bought $1 worth of electroneum (around 100 etn) during its crowdsale before and now just stock on my wallet waiting for the price to soar high before withdrawal. I hope I can also be able to make profits as large as yours.
But I'll suggests it's safer for beginners to hodl.Buy and Hodl.I hope my tips could help for beginners.
I'll agree with you. They should first start from the basic and take step by step process because jumping into a harder stuff might cause losses. So for beginners out there, study and familiarize first the surrounding you are dealing with.

Holding tight of your cryptos in long term is really a great idea, but only for cryptos that is having a high potential to create a greater value in the future. Before you hold with your cryptos, just make sure that you have the crypto that is highly potentially to avoid of losing to much money and wasting time as well.

Cool story. I hope you put inspiration on others who wants to get their hands "dirty" on crypto trading. I have the same strategy as your before, I bought a coins around $60 that time and soon it was pumped hard and my money was doubled in about 3-4 days!!! I said to myself that indeed there's a lot of money to be made here. So I sold everything that time at at $120 I spread it out on undervalued coins and sell when I doubled or tripled my investments. Maybe we just got lucky and bought coins that gets pump, but I also suggest to study further on the coins that you wanted to invest because not everyone can have a success story.

BUY and HOLD is one of the best (if not the best) thing to do here in crypto. Why? Cryptocurrency is volatile enough to rise and to fall---gain and  loss---to increase and to decrease in just a short span of time. But if you're going to buy and hold token/coin, you should buy and hold a token/coin that has potential or that is already on the market and currently active

Trader’s viewpoint:

I suggest, you should have actual analysis base on facts and concrete evidences that will show a fluctuation of trades, otherwise it is all bullsh*t. There are long game e.g., 40% Long-Term, 25% Mid-Term, and 35% on-hand currency for quick flips. If you are looking to capitalize on small percentage gains (1-10%) by trading a lot with a decent amount of bitcoin, there are coins designed for just that purpose (do your research). As for those short-term 5,000%+ gains, ironically, that requires a bit mid-term strategy. I do not usually advice putting a bunch of coins on these all at once; you will likely lose your money or scare off the pumpers. Accrue gradually with small amounts that will not make the price fluctuate much and keep in silent, the more people you let know about it will likely smashup your investment, best to do these so you know whether it's stable enough, observe.

If you see pump activities, put more on right price before it takes off. When those coins that are going to sprout up in the next couple of days, most are nearly impossible to tell with more than an hourly notice, you pretty much have to stay ready and always observe the markets for coins that were not on the radar beforehand. Remember to never set single sell walls; divide it up on multiple prices, the lower the amount on each price the higher probabilities you have of it being sold. Try to stay under 0.10btc per price on high volume coins and 0.05btc on lower volume coins, might suggest spreading them out deliberately for you to regain your original investments early on and still have free coins to play with.

Might as well, trade on high-volumed exchange. An active and high-volumed market is the best spot, for me.

hodl.Buy and Hodl.
Nice tips you got there but I strongly suggest beginners to not only buy and hold because buying and holding is not the best option all the time(specially if the one you bought is a scam coin that will be a shitcoin soon). My advice for beginners is to buy and hold only when market is in the red and if the certain coin you want to buy has potential for growth.
The time to buy into the altcoin is very important, in addition to the selection of good coin also determines the success of the investment. When I first started to participate in this market, I advised investors to invest only a little money to learn the experience, once you have grasped the rules of the market invest more.

Well, those selected coins really went good when the green market happen end of  last year, the coins which really grows a lots and bring patience investors a huge profits, your story might inspire newbies but I just wanted to give some thoughts that it's not always be like that, we can buy and follow
coins that we think that can be successful after some time, just need to make sure about the project usage and the developers intention for the future of
the project.,

What an inspiring you have got in trading, buddy. I am also a beginner in trading and have just invested money from joining in a signature campaign and do a trading with my earning. I must say that your experience may influence and encourage most of us  to not just stick to one to two coins only, but to diversify it by buying some potentially coins that may benefit us in the right time. But just like theyoungmillionare said which I may agreed upon to, dividing your investments into long term and short term hodlings were very useful in gaining target profits.
