Spectrecoin  +48228%
  Neo  +90450%
  Ethereum  +95390%
  IOTA  +105505%
  NXT  +391776%
(data for the end of 2017)

Are those really true numbers?

Because I rolled over my eyes twice after reading those numbers. I think no one will really believe that number because too off the box! 5 figure % hike is too much that too from December to now which is just few months of period.

No doubt that HODL is always beneficial but its not that beneficial as you have predicted it here.  Tongue

I will always motivate everyone to hold because it benefits the user as well as the market from the unwanted shocks and dumps!

It depends on the price of coin in the market. Why would you have to trade your coins in a lower price if you can hold it and wait for it's price to rise then trade it. That'll give you more opportunity and a lot of income as well if you'll be able to trade your coins in a high price.

To trade or to hold will depend on the entry price of an individual and if he is making good profits with current price then he can trade some of his coins and if he is not satisfied and looking for higher profits then better to hold them.

better to hold for a while but we benefit from selling at times like this. the buy sell is very risky with an unstable price.but for those who are not patient, prefer to trade because they want to profit quickly.
It is you who being an investor need to make a choice in between trading and holding as both things can help you in making of some good earning but the only condition for that is to do the thing in which you are more skillful and that you think doing that will lead you to make some good money. Do not go for holding of the coins if you don’t think you will be able to hold your nerves at time of dump.

Trading or HODL

The goal of most investors generally is to buy low and sell high. This can result in two quite different approaches to equity investing.

One approach is described as "trading." Trading involves following the short-term price fluctuations of different stocks closely and then trying to buy low and sell high. Traders usually decide ahead of time the percentage increase they're looking for before you sell (or decrease before they buy).

While trading has tremendous potential for immediate rewards, it also involves a fair share of risk because a stock may not recover from a downswing within the time frame you'd like—and may in fact drop further in price. In addition, frequent trading can be expensive, since every time you buy and sell, you may pay broker's fees for the transaction.

Be aware that trading should not be confused with "day trading," which is the rapid buying and selling of stock to capitalize on small price changes. Day trading can be extremely risky, especially if you attempt to day trade using borrowed money. Individual investors frequently lose money by trying to use this approach.

A very different investing strategy—called buy-and-hold—involves keeping an investment over an extended period, anticipating that the price will rise over time. While buy-and-hold reduces the money you pay in transaction fees and short-term capital gains taxes, it requires patience and careful decision-making. As a buy-and-hold investor, you generally choose tokens based on a company's long-term business prospects. Increases in the coin price over years tend to be based less on the volatile nature of the market's changing demands and more on what's known as the company's fundamentals, such as its earnings and sales, the expertise and vision of its management.

Such a strategy can be super profitable. Here are some examples:
  Spectrecoin  +48228%
  Neo  +90450%
  Ethereum  +95390%
  IOTA  +105505%
  NXT  +391776%
(data for the end of 2017)

And how do you think, share your views on the pros and cons of trading and long-term hold in the comments.
The market has been fluctuating continuously and it is hard to predict, you can see that bitcoin prices in the early days of 2018 are constantly decreasing and the recovery force is very weak. After dropping back to $ 6000, the current bitcoin price is at $ 7700, I believe the bitcoin price will be adjusted to $ 8500 before falling sharply, so you should trade short term by day to be able to reduce Minimize the risk.

in coin holding investments is very risky because the price of coin can change rapidly.
if you intend to invest long-term you should be able to know the coin is suitable or not for long-term investment.
the selection of your coins is indeed a good enough coin for long-term investment.
a little extra, I think coin IGNIS same TEN is also suitable for long-term investment.

Indeed, in choosing long term we couldn't determine exact when it will achieve its peak price expectations. But if you trade it and have day trading, well its our definite and concrete decisions to choose the very promising coin based on your analysis. Don't have that mindset that long term trading is same with how long term works in the actual scenario, but the reality is they really differs from each other because day trades is more risky compared with long term.

trading is not something easy, it requires knowledge of the understanding of graph analysis if you just rely on luck or gambling it is very bad. I would suggest if you use the buy and hold method for long term it will be profitable and more secure from loss

both have profit but if you look at the crypto market begging. the crypto currencies have increase the price every months it's means buy and hold can be the best for investors they can gain high profit form crypto in hold for longterm. and in trade have also profit but when the market go down you will sell your coins and face high loss. holding money is more than better from trading.

of course I prefer to do trading because I see with trading nad abisa mendaptkan profits that are very much different if you just hold the capital you have certainly will never be able to get the benefits.
These are three different states and you will choose all of these separately with specific times. In order to know about the perfect market timings you would need to monitor the market before making any single decision otherwise you may face with problems. Trading with more valuable currency and buy Bitcoins in a low market which will give you benefit and hold it for long term so that you enter into the market where your coins have high value.

Buying and holding strategy is not complicated, it is exactly what it looks like. You are just buying and maintaining an investment, regardless of whether the market is rising or falling. Using this strategy, mentality is not receptive to everything that the market speaks. So attraction to buying and loyalty is simple.

Yeah this isn’t that much complex which we have just considered at our own. This is simple but just need the matter of choice and strength to give it in its own way for the user. If you are happy with holding, just hold and make good money. If you think you should earn money from them, buy more. Don’t just listen to fake news and observe every single move of the market.

It's better to learn trading than just buying and hold. If you learn trading, you will know how the market works. Either going down or going up you control your money easily and without any hesitation. In buy and hold, you would only learn how to be patient. What if the price doesnt go up? Instead of having a principal for trading, you wasted your money and time in holding coins. Got the point?
we are on the same path, I think doing trading is better than doing a hold especially for a beginner, knowledge of how the market works is an important point here, you will not be able to be successful trader without knowing it

Both are good enough and are equal in profitable sizes, that is why i think that trading is good if you want to make some easy bucks in a short period of time, but hodlling is profitable.

I might prefer trading. it is a short-term opportunity that can make a lot of money. But, most people prefer to buy and hold. it is because they feel that the potential of a coin will appear if it is held for a long time. well, i also do that often.
Well I am a bit different thinking that I prefer buying and holding of crypto currency which use to call as investment, it is a good way of making profit in crypto currency in buying and holding you will not remain worry about the market situation all the time as once if you will invest then you will sell it later long ago but in trading you will have to keep your eyes on the market as it has high profit but is time consuming so I choose simple way of making profit as buy at low price and hold with patience to let it grow.
I think  it's depend on our decisions I believe that both trading and holding is both profitable. But it is really different. If we wanted to have an income everyday we can do trading while if we need a big income we must sacrifice and hold for a long term. Holding is really profitable because we can select the best price to sell but we really need an income for our daily needs so we need to do trading also.

As trading is quite risky so if you you have very proper knowledge about trading and also good experience of it then i recommend you to do trading neither never do it beacause you can loss your all currncy so trading needsgood knowledge and also experience.
In other way holding don't need any type of experience you have to need just good knowledge about coins and it's also less risky than trading. So it's depends on you that which one you choose from these both.
