Trading and investing should be decided based on age and money we want to risk , for example if age is 35 50 % of the capital should be invested for long term and other 50% for trading and short term , like wise when age is 60 -70years  cant risk our money because we are not earning any more if we lose in investing or trading its very much difficult to live
I agree with you. Only trade when you're young and have the confidence you need when deciding because this is what will help you a lot in making profits from this market.

I'm not sure, when I get old I can do something here but I will tend to withdraw more money to take care of my life. Of course, everyone will have different ideas so try to make your life better from now on.

your saying that its all about confidence ? well that is one of the key to earn big but you cant forget other key factors too   .  confidence will be nothing if your not intelegent enough on your decisions or on your investments  . i dont also think that its based on the age but i believe any age can do both as long as they understand how it works   .  older age people are known to have thier pension funds , they can earn money with it and they can still use it for both activies    . i see many older people do both though

So if you want to earn more money, you can do both things, the more, the merrier
I really want but I [/can't] Sad. Honestly, I badly want to try bitcoin trading since I was in college but how unfortunate I am that I can't still pursue it even that I'm already a licensed engineer (Thanks be to God Smiley!). I don't know what the problem is. Hmm, I have no problem with capital coz I got savings, I know it is not very big but I think it's already enough to start and gain experience; I also don't have any problems for acquiring knowledge since some of my friends are traders too, I can approach them if I need help and besides Internet is always there. I guess what I'm lack of is TIME, now I more realized the saying "Time is gold" — it is nore precious than any stone. *sigh

There is begginer and help section and I often to see some threads who discuss about how to get cryptocurrency. Indeed, trading and investing are the best part to earn cryptocurrency especially when you have known and have a lot of knowledge about them. You can spend money even I will be aware when I have knowledge and I will spend my all saving money to invest in cryptocurrency and trading for short term pariode. Becausw I just thinking I will be useless if I store my money on bank account the money be add until whenever. But if you ask me which part that I will choosw between trading and investing, I will anwer that I will choosw investing, seem like that is the safest way rather than trading.

As you said investing ang trading are both the same methods but I think trading is you can trade your altcoins or your holding anytime that you can get profit. In investing are you invest your money without knowing if you get profit or you gonna lose. Because some investment not so sure if you gonna be gain or not. But in trading if you are smart you can gain money even small profit.

Before we invest the money into any coins, it is better to analyze which coins that will have a chance to increase, and if we take a look at the market, bitcoin will be the best investment for a long time. We can use bitcoin too for trading because bitcoin can give us more chances to increase the money that we use in trading. Both trading and investing will produce more money for us if we can get the right coins, and so far, I used bitcoin for a long term investment while I also use bitcoin and altcoin to trade for a short and middle term trading.

Doing both will be an advantage especially if we both want to earn better. However, we need to learn things well about trading and investing first. Both still need a complex knowledge and understanding and it's not a one day process of learning. You still need a lot of research when it comes to the right coin the you will be investing and trading with. You also have to deal with every market situation while controlling your emotions to make right decisions.

Trading and investing are two different ways to make money, though only if the person operating it knows what they're doing. They are both risky and requires regular update of the industry and market in general, and they both take time to master.

However, I see trading more as a short-term risk and immediate return while investing is more long-term, so they both have pros and cons. I personally prefer investing over trading because it suits me better but there're also people who prefer the opposite.

Finding which one of these 2 suit you best is something, I think, is worth finding out. Like I said, they can be both as risky as it is rewarding.
Trading will take a lot of time to focus and not every day you can earn good profits because the market is very volatile and very difficult to predict. In my opinion, if you want to become a good trader, you need to have a reasonable investment strategy and always read the hourly chart to make the most accurate decisions. I used to lose a lot of money from this market but then I gained more experience and had more success choosing day trading.

Both are good way to earn money, but doing bot will be a question if you can do it or do you have the time to do it. Trading consumes time, even though you are a great trader you need to look at the charts all day to analyze it. If you are a day trader that will require a lot of time also so, trading is just for individual that have a lot of time. The investing is for people that have a lot of money, like it or hate it, if you have a small funds and you are going to invest it you will not feel the profit. It's just for whales or people that have a lot of money.

Bot have a risk but, I highly suggest that if you have a lof of money just focus the majority of your funds into investing and trade some of it. In that way you can maximize your money and will only acquire small risk for it.

Trading and Investing are both methods for you to gain money in this virtual world. Both investors and traders earn money through the help of the market. They are good ways to make a profit.

Investors gain money when they but cryptocurrency and holds it for a long time, until bitcoin inflation happens, they will but cryptocurrency when the market is already down then if the market goes high that is the time that they will gain money by withdrawing it. While traders use the inflation and deflation of bitcoin to earn money, it involves buying and selling of currency in the virtual world.

So if you want to earn more money, you can do both things, the more, the merrier, if you are a beginner, then don't invest and trade significant amount of money because you may fail from it, you should do research first before doing that because it is not a simple thing, you should have an excellent knowledge and skill to be successful in both methods.

As you said investing ang trading are both the same methods but I think trading is you can trade your altcoins or your holding anytime that you can get profit. Investing and trading are totally different things when you look into financial world. Of course they are not farming versus software development type of difference however when we talk about finances they are totally different. Investment is something you do for long term, you buy it and your kids sell it, that is the type of investment I am talking about or you could sell it yourself as well but you have to keep it for a long period.

However, trading is when you buy stuff and sell it for other stuff and keep doing that until you have more of the original stuff you had. That type of difference is HUGE when you consider it is just crypto finance world and there is already very few limited options available.

If you are a newbie the best option is probably "investing" because then you could wait longer when you end up in negative. When you buy bitcoin at $10k but it goes down you could wait for it to go back up over $10k once again, it may take a year for you to make a profit again but at least you could make a profit from it. That's how the starting should be but I would suggest the more you invest the closer you get to trading because you will have more and more investments that you may want to move around time to time and that will lead to trading as well.

So, when you are a newbie you start with investing but in few years time you turn into a trader because of how much you invested.

Yes, i also think so that both trading and investing need more knowledge to be successful. I personally saw many investors that invested without knowing vast and fall in deep problem and same as traders. Market is not much volatile to everybody must have to be careful so that they can not feel upset in future.
I think the more correct way of telling this is that trading and investing is a part and parcel of the same thing. This is different from the stock market though. Here you will mostly be investing in altcoins, although they are other methods to invest too which are sadly much less in number few of which being casino bankroll investments. Here one will also trade those invested coins. So it is one after the other and not two separate things.

Of course market volatility is the reason why people trade. There are no reasons to trade a stagnant coin which shows no signs of life. We all know what to buy in and not what not to.

Most trading decisions will fall unto sudden actions which we won't expect to happen, because when we need funds for personal expenses you don't care for any reasons. Being decisive on certain circumstances, will overcome some fears and worries. Though some may think it's wrong, but I do believe as long as we're having comfort on that money; everything will be all worth it.

I prefer trading over investment but I guess it would be different for everyone.
I prefer trading because I have time to study and watch the market and I could do it freely,
But for those who doesn't have enough time of course they would go to investment since it would be hard for them to watch the market from time to time.
Yes you're right. We have different perspective between trading or investing. For now, I prefer investing since I have no time yet in deep learning about trading. It takes a lot of time to learn it and also money to gain profit in it. I have no time in checking from time to time about its current price and analyze whether it will go up or down.
Unlike investing, you will hold and choose valuable coins. I'm just be careful in some coins that I know that no value at all.

Investing in cryptocurrency is basically a long term trading. Both have different level of risk, depends on experience, skills, and risk tolerance.
In Bitcoin's case, It would be a lesser risk if you're hodling Bitcoin for long term. Knowing that this technology has unlimited price range and the future of Bitcoin seems bright. Short trading and day trading could be profitable too, but with higher risks than hodling long term.

Both are profitable ways to gain profit, but the question is what is more safer. Well this depends on every person and their strategy because both has risk that if you didnt execute your strategy well you might lose your money.

Investing for me is less risky compared to trading, less pressure and headaches. You're the one who will set on when to sell or how long you want to hold your assets. What important is you wont end up holding a shitcoins and you can prevent this to happen by conducting an extensive research for each coin that you want to invest in.

I think this had been told here for so many times.
It is just like another explanation of what trading or investing it. More like a definition.
Not new anymore.

Both are still risky, we should not forget about that.
There is no such thing as 0 risk investment now. If there is, then it is a scam.

Well I have my own definition of those I think Trading is exchanging coin to another to gain profit and investing is buying a portion of the stocks or coins of the project (its much like supporting them) and earn after a while.

Yes I think you have a point that both can be a source of income but both are very risky as well so we should know the risk and invest only what we can afford to lose.

Of course, knowledge is needed in everyway to earn money, thus it is depending on the way you are earning. Investing is more easy more likely a passive income depending on the qualification of an investment. Trading has more work and it needs more knowledge to win trade wars.
