The problem with easyhits4u is that they provide human traffic, but the activity is not totally active. It's just people putting in captchas and waiting.
Yes the problem with easy hits is that they don't forces the views on their adds. I have tried myself, I just keep a tab open in easyhits and only I click after watching it for 20 seconds. This may not be the case with every user there but most of the users there I am sure just do like me. Some of them even only do it just to get the money for 1000 views which is if I remember correctly 0.30 USD per 1000 views there. I have had good conversion rate though for my PTC sites. Anyone who wants some refs and have not the time to earn the credit can always opt to buy a package from OP maybe.

Activity varies from advertised site content to individuals watching it, and people have nothing else to do while watching timer other than to see your site!

Does this translate into possible sales if I have an online store? Or is it purely to generate ad revenue?
The service offers you traffic from easyhits4u traffic exchange, and weather people who visit your site be interested in what ure selling is entirely up
to them and your site. It can mean sales, but it can also mean no sales if they are not interested in your site.
In any way, you will have traffic and ad revenue if you use that, just make sure youre not violating any ad service rule (adsense doesnt allow traffic exchange traffic for example.)

Where are all these traffic coming from? Are you providing it from somewhere like hitleap or is this a website that already has a big visitor rush and you just redirect it via ads to another website?
I think faucet websites does the same thing as well , which they make all their coins from. It would be a lot easier to trust a service like this if we knew where the visitors come from.

What good duch traffic does to a site from seo perspective? Alexa rank will come down as soon as traffic drops.
All traffic can generate profit, and since it could end up as returning user, that rank will be better for much longer if enough people find your site interesting enough to
return to it. It all really depends on your site in the end - will the people be interested in it or not, this traffic will give you the chance to find out, amung other things.
