I think Trust Wallet with Metamask is no different. Only a wallet that can be connected to the swap platform. The crypto wallet metamask that supports the mainnet custom RPC system, while TrustWallet does not need to do custom RPC, will be detected automatically with tokens from any mainnet.
The advantage of Metamask is that it can search for swap sources from tokens, while the advantage of Trust Wallet is that all swap platforms are in TrustWallet, another advantage of TrustWallet is that it stores all core coins, such as Bitcoin.
Another plus is that you can store tokens from the Tron blockchain, or something else, while Metamask doesn't support the Tron network.
So, if you are asking which one is superior, then Trust Wallet is superior to Metamask.

You seem to be misunderstanding the concept of wallets. The wallet itself is decentralised. Both Trustwallet as well as Metamask are just user interfaces with which you can perform functions like trading/swapping/sending/recieving and more. There isn't anything that you need to transfer unless you suspect that your wallet seed phrase might be compromised. In which case, yes, transfer your assets to a new wallet...

Otherwise, as people here have mentioned, you can just connect to a new interface like metamask without needing to move any assets.

I would recommend you do some reading and learn about Metamask first, as it is difficult to navigate compared to Trustwallet.

Just to buy ETH-SOL-based cryptos. But here many people suggested that we can buy ETH based crypto also on TW and we can't buy SOL based on MM. So as of now, I am planning to stick with TW.

Also, I am little bit worried, that I will not be able to add RPC and other tokens. I created MM new account today, I added RPC of BSC, but I was not able to get RECEIVE address of BNB, so I thought it is not my cup of tea. So currently sticking with TW.

In TW, I will learn to buy ETH based tokens.

Is there a specific reason why you want to import/transfer your key to Metamask? If your Trustwallet's wallet is your cold storage ( or your main wallet where you store all of your important coins & tokens), maybe importing the key is not really a good choice.

Everything is correct except this (highlight question)

All assets that you manage in one of them will be reflected in each other. Some situations might be true like your app crashes, you're using a lower version, or something like that (app error), then you can use another one instead. But in other situations, you can't even transact on both of them such as insufficient balance for gas costs, busy network, etc.

Some of the reasons you can't find your token:
- the token you received has not been confirmed on the blockchain
- you haven't added a token list to your wallet (as @Dread Pirate Roberts said)
- you have not added a new RPC network

There are fee to transfer your coin from one wallet to another and most times, those fees are not charged by the wallet in use if they are non- custodian wallet like, metamask, trust waller,cmaths, etc. You will however pay blockchain fee of the coin you are transferring! Metamask is the must versatile wallet for blockchain projects. So, it is easier to use metamask!

1. Yes, requires a fee if you make a transfer. No fee required if you transfer your wallet from TW to MM
2. Backwards. In metamask we can only buy tokens of the ETH/BSC network, while in Trustwallet several other networks are available.

Hello friend If you want to Send any token from Trustwallet to Metamusk wallet then Fees is compulsory, need transaction fees for every transaction. Eth blockchain fees is more high than Bsc Chain fees. So if you send token BSC network to BSC network then need to very low amount Transaction Fees.

You know you could just import the seeds in Metamask even if you used the trust wallet software for creating it. That's the good part with wallets nowadays. But, if you think your wallet in Trust Wallet is not safe anymore that's why you are just sending the contents of it then there is a transaction fee since you will be using the blockchain in sending it.
BSC - cheaper fees but you might bump in to transaction fees problem if its ERC20.

Try adding the name, decimal, and contract address in Metamask and you will see your coins.

Functionally, trustwallet and metamask are almost the same, but if you want the trustwallet wallet address to run on metamask, then you only need to enter a phrase or private key into your metamask wallet so you can immediately add your tokens and coins there plus you can make transactions like you want, because generally trustwallet can also run on ERC20 network not only for BEP20.
So you don't have to think about the cost for it.

The gist of the explanation is that, no transaction fees go to the trustwallet developer's pocket whereas metamask only charges network transaction fees. It's the same as not explaining anything.

FYI, Metamask supports all blockchains that fork on Ethereum. Meaning you can access any of your tokens with same wallet using a single private key in different blockchain. You just need to add custom network to view your asset on that specific blockchain. So if you accidentally send tokens to your metamask address a BEP20, KRC20, ERC20 or other Ethereum Fork Blockchain, You can still access as long as you have the private key.

The case will be different if it's not Ethereum fork blockchain like Solana, Bitcoin and many more.

You're right on BEP2, but not in BSC. Metamask is supporting other chains including BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, Harmony, Huobi, Polygon, Kucoin, Elatos etc [1] [2] if you've set up the custom RPC.

Since @OP discuss about BSC token, so it shouldn't be a problem.

One more point I forgot to mention, not all chains are supported on Metamask. SOL chain isn't supported yet.
