Trezor has made a tweet announcing that the Trezor Suite will become the only officially-supported interface for Trezor hardware wallets from tomorrow 1 February. It's going to replace the Trezor Wallet app. They haven't given any info whether the old wallet app will still be accessible or not. For those who want to use the Trezor Suite from their Android phone, can do so via suite.trezor.io/web/.

But Trezor devs could do this much better instead of using double click without any pop up notification, most newbies will probably never use this simple method.
Yeah, I agree... it's not very obvious. But I've learned to "experiment" over the years with UI elements... you never quite know what is/isn't going to work Wink

You don't need to muck around with TOR settings or opening in a "non Onion" browser or anything like that if you just want to get the TXID... simply double click on the partial TX ID shown in Trezor Suite (so that it is highlighted) and then CTRL+C (or right click and select "copy")... it will actually copy the entire TXID to the clipboard:
OMG I can confirm this is actually working Smiley

Most of the people would just click on that small square and open that transaction in web browser, so let me ping @ChiBitCTy with this revelation.

In all other wallets I used you can simply copy your transaction without any problem with a click or copy paste, so I don't want this extra step of opening browser to get this, and I don't want to search it in blockchain explorer.

Granted, that doesn't give you the actual raw transaction data... but there are other ways to go about getting that (like using the full node that you're running Tongue Wink )

I can't remember exactly but I think that even ledger have this option in their app.
When it comes to the Ledger Live, the latest operations tab only shows the address the coins were sent from and the amount. But when you click on it to get additional info, you can see the transaction ID as well. Scrolling over it will give you an option to copy the hash to your clipboard and from there you can do whatever you want with it. Clicking on the transaction ID achieves nothing and it won't search for your transaction on a block explorer.

That’s odd that this is a known problem but not for all users  Huh  I have Tor turned on in my suite, and my browser is either chrome or DuckDuckGo (forgetting which off the top of my head) but I still receive this error message.  & you’re right. With all the updates they’ve done I can’t believe they haven’t incorporated at “right click here to copy tx” type deal.
One more way you can go around this issue even if you are offline is to click three dots and export all transactions in PDF, CSV or JSON.
It's not perfect solution, but you can still use it without opening your web browser, and you can always use Electrum wallet with your Trezor.

Assuming that I've understood everything correctly [based on @dkbit98's post and yours], I don't think that's a bug or a problem since that's how ".onion" links are supposed to be".

Yes I’ve always got the most up to date version. Don’t know why it works for your and not me. Apparently it’s a known issue (as you can see above my post) so that’s odd it’s not been brought up there. I will ask about this on their sub Reddit.

If somehow I still missed something and you know your way around GitHub, then they might sort it out faster if you report it "in here".

Does anyone know if there is a way to copy the TX when using the Trezor Suite? After sending a transaction it shows me the start of the TX and has a button saying something like “view transaction” but then it just opens up a “can’t find” deal in your browser.  It’s easy to find the TX when using trezor webpage, but the suite has always given me issues. Any help greatly appreciated!
I can confirm that this thing (let's call it a bug) is happening and there is no way to copy sent or received transactions from Trezor Suite, so only way to increase privacy is to use Tor Browser as your default option.
They really need to fix this and enable click to copy or right click to copy transaction, unless they consider this a threat somehow, but I don't see how.
Much worse is to open a browser window each time, but I found a way around this enabling Tor in Trezor Suite and making my default browser Not Tor (or Brave) so that onion link can't be opened.
You can copy your transaction from browser address bar, and you will enjoy this or similar message: Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.  Cheesy
If you want to visit that TX in explorer you can disable Tor in Trezor Suite settings or make Tor browser your default OS browser.

I've never encountered that issue and I just double-checked after I sent a transaction, but I didn't face that kind of issue! When I hover over the small button at the end of the Tx ID, the pop-up message says "open in block explorer" as opposed to "view transaction".

  • Are you on its latest version?
    - BTW, I've also checked their "forum" and so far, no one has reported that kind of issue!

I have to hand it to Trezor... their native desktop application is a pretty solid offering with built in TOR support, dark theme etc. The one thing that is missing for me, would be the ability to connect it to my own full node.

Fortunately, it seems they are already working on it.

Good news, Trezor Suite now supports Sign & Verify messages.
There is a whole thread that dkbit has started regarding this option for Trezor Suite: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/trezor-suite-added-sign-verify-5365581

I've posted the results of my testing with Trezor Suite, Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Mycelium and BrainwalletX (web-based signed message verification) there.

Awesome, thank you very much for the link.  I tried finding if there was any other posts about this very topic, but clearly didn't do a good enough job searching for it.  Hopefully Trezor continues to improve upon the Trezor Suite platform/trezor suite program.  So far I have to say it is easily my favorite wallet software program.  They have thought of almost everything u could want in a wallet so far.

When loading up the Trezor Suite this past weekend I got a warning message saying something to the extent of " There has been DDos attack attempts while using Tor, if you notice issues, turn Tor off"...something like that.  Has anyone seen this, and is this something I should be very concerned about?  What happens if you keep using Tor?
I have the same message shown on top of Trezor Suite and everything still works fine for me, but in worst case you won't be able to send coins, confirm transaction or visit some onion links..
This is not the first time that Tor option is not working and it's easy to enable or disable it in settings.

I have not noticed this, since I don't use Tor. However, you could contact Trezor developers easily on Reddit or any of their other social media, just in case.

Interesting, thanks for the info! Is there any reason I shouldn't be using the Trezor Suite now and just go back to using the website?
Trezor Suite is in my opinion much better and safer option than using their web version, that is if you are using official link for downloading and installing software.

Using desktop version there is zero chance of getting phishing attack and I don't think web version is supporting Tor option like desktop version, but you need to check and confirm that.

You are right, the web version does not support Tor for now.

I am looking forward to see Suite to add more functionalities, like sign-and-verify, message encryption, ect.
