the trolls told me to invest in SecureCoin. I checked and the SecureCoin website was down, however the Block explorer was still up. I didn't have any confidence in the coin, but the sheer volume of trolls telling me it would 50x made me believe. I said how could 10 people be all lying to me. Also, I was fueled by greed and desperation, my whole life I've been poor and bullied by society, and I said to myself this is my only opportunity to escape my personal hell, by being rich.

So I dumped 90 bux into SecureCoin and watched as it flatlined, instead of 50x like they said it would. Do you think SecureCoin will ever go back to its original price or higher so I can ever get back my money? Or is it gonna flatline for the rest of eternity?

Update: I have news that the dev of this coin is alive and active, so there still may be hope for this coin.

Even the dev is alive it does not mean it's going to be successful. I never read messages on troll box and why would you believe them? Trolls are meant to fool people so do you research for God's sake.

Stay safe from the trappers, don't ever believe on a group of people, do some research before buying any alt.
Users don't often read whitepaper before investing, this is the major reason why they easily get trapped.
I don't know much about the SecureCoin so i can't predict whether it will recover the price or it will further decrease but my sincere advice is don't waste your money in project you are not aware of.

You were very lucky to have risked only 80 bucks. You really must a meet a pump and dump group, bad encounters, trust nobody in cryptos that you don't know personally.

One lesson can be learnt here, do not open shoutbox/trollbox when trading.
Just stick to your plan. Plan your trade, and trade our plan.
Correct, I can't remember what trading platform removes their trollbox because of what people are shouting, which influence a lot of traders to buy coins that they shouldn't and they bitch how they were convinced, similar to what the OP has experienced. I also was once a victim as well, I think in Yobit, when I was just starting my journey into trading.

You should have your entry and exit strategy to begin with, and just really stick to it no matter how the market moves. I'm sure with what the OP has experienced, it will be a hard lessons to swallow. Just learn from your mistakes and I really doubt that he can recover his funds. Goodluck.

I am sorry that it happened to you. Hopefully you will be able to recover the money that you have invested.

Try to contact the dev team to see what is in the roadmap to decide whether to keep the coin or trade it now and cut down the losses.

Wow.. I'm sorry to hear that but please in future be really careful about what you invest in and do your own due diligence.
The cryptocurrency market is always very risky and it is the subject of scammers and hackers all over the world. Be careful with your information, careful investing is essential. I believe the market will improve in the coming days and investment in the market is very good.

Just think of if as expensive lesson, Its not a waste since it taught you a very important lesson. It might be possible to return to the price you bought it, but who knows when will it come? specially if you bought it during its highest pump price? Next time stick to top 100 coins and dont be fooled again

Well from my experience new coins are usually pumped massively during their first few days or months of existence and then a dump follows afterwards during which times weak hands sell off to strong hands, the coins then may manage to pump a little higher before after sometime massive price recover occurs.so my advise to you is that you should try hodling for sometime and pretend you never bought it.Im pretty sure you will one day wake up to find you recovered your losses

Are you trading in Yobit?
I have been fooled there for a lot of time because I stayed there while doing signature campaign for them.
Didnt know they are like robot trolls who are just trying to pump one coin with chat base.
Somehow I lost twice because I believed them.

I have a Yobit account but I have no funds on it, I never wanted to use Yobit except to buy rare coins. I have heard the Yobit is technically incompetent and routinely puts incorrect blockchains on coins.

Wow.. I'm sorry to hear that but please in future be really careful about what you invest in and do your own due diligence.
There still may be hope with this coin, the dev is still alive and active.

What is that coin anyway, you got tricked by 10 accounts by the people that are pushing for securecoin. No by 10 real people. To be honest, you should have done your due diligence when investing in anything. Good thing you just lost $90 and nothing more than that. Some even lost millions just believing one altcoin. It's the hazards of investing in crypto, but some will make multi-millions when they invest into the right coin.

If there is anything you have learnt for this scenario whether you will get your money back or not, you don't act on information just like that. Every information needs to be vetted via personal due diligence which in this case you didn't do as you were easily riled by emotions. I have been there and till today, its one decision I still regret but the take out is that, I have learnt my lessons just like you.

Do your research before buying/investing in any altcoin, don't listen to random people advising to buy certain alt.
securecoin barely has any volume, you can hold and wait for another pump then unload your bag or sell at a loss now and invest in another project/alt and hopefully recover your lost money(or make some profit).

Securecoin seems to have pumps every few months like you can see on its history on coinmarketcap.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/securecoin/historical-data/?start=20170118&end=20180118
I don't know, how much you paid, so its hard to predict, whether it will recocer to that price, you baught. Generally the prognosis will not be positive, because you seem to have baught it on its highest point. Maybe you got the advice from members of pumping dumping group. That is illegal, but unfortunately there are many groups around, who arrange orchestred buys at a certain time and post in chats to engage victims to buy that coin and those cheaters suddenly sell and leave cheated buyers with big loss.
If it is so, it would be helpful, to know their usernames on trollbox and report them to cryptopia.

The trollbox has no history and the chat goes by so fast there's no time to write anything down. I was too busy research other coins and the charts to pay much notice of the names.

I said how could 10 people be all lying to me.
uhmm, because this is the internet? did you seriously believe that a bunch of randoms online would not try to trick you? are you that naive?

telling me it would 50x made me believe.
You got tricked, but you said it yourself, you gave up to greed as soon you saw the "x50", you fell such a meme that's been going around cryptos for quite some time now..oh well, at least you learned a few lessons: 1) not to trust people on the internet, 2) do a research on the coin you want to invest in.

Do you think SecureCoin will ever go back to its original price or higher so I can ever get back my money? Or is it gonna flatline for the rest of eternity?
Sorry mate but you lost your money, unless you want to sell at loss. And looking at Securecoin, seems to me like it's a matter of time before this coin dissapears from the market.

Nobody can predict the future of any coin and anyone strongly promoting a coin is likely trying to trick you.  It's generally more safe to do the opposite of what people tell you as they're likely looking for a way out of their own mistakes.  At least it was only $90.
