Still waiting for specific examples of the claimed trolling?

Virasog

Perhaps you will present a specific example of the trolling that you agree should not be responded  to?

The objective reader here must be very confused as to why members crying about the " hyper trolling "
Can provide any examples of the trolling?

It's like they are afraid to present anything for fear it will be clearly demonstrate to be the truth and not trolling at all?

This challenge is obviously too much for notblox and suchmoon they dare not.
Surely there is one among you that can provide a specific example of conclusively debunked information being promulgated as true??

Come on this is becoming silly?

Why are you all crying about trolling that you can not even locate and present when challenged by your alleged "hyper troll"

The only sensible conclusion is that the accusers are liars ? Or that they are fearful their claims will collapse under scrutiny.

I say there is Zero trolling and no conclusively debunked information being presented as true by this account.
The fact nobody has been able to present any examples, clearly demonstrates this is the case.

Why do constant nobody accounts keep turning up and promugating false claims of trolling ?

Why are the they trolling me like this? What have I ever done but present the truth. ? Or highly plausible statements corroborated by independently verifiable evidence?

I would like to remind everyone that trolling is not allowed if we read forum rule number 3 here:
3. No trolling.

Number of trolls is growing every day, because they have nothing better to do in their life but to write crap.

Why is that not sanctioned more by moderators?

If they can't be banned, and I think they should, why not give them special Troll role in their profile so that everyone can ignore them and don't reply to their crap?

List of trolls to be ignored or banned:
KaneVWE

Why does the troll even exists in the first place ? If anyone is trolling, it is us who reply to those trolls and make the discussion even more intense and spamming. If we do not reply to those trolls, they will be silent automatically. They want us to argue with them so that this trolling continues.

As it is rightly said: -  DO NOT FEED THE TROLL

If it wasn't for trolling, many members here would have nothing to post on this forum at all as very few actually do anything involving Bitcoin.

Yeah I  reduced my posting in meta for that reason.

Not really.  I think we're dealing with one or two trolls tops, and they're just making a lot of noise.  Pretty sure most of the more vocal trolls as of late are alt accounts of cryptohunter and his confederates.  Bitcoin SV I'm not so sure about.

You have to be a seriously disruptive troll in order to get banned, because Theymos values freedom of speech--even if trolling is against the rules.  In my time on the forum I've only seen a handful of members get banned for trolling, and if I recall correctly they weren't even attacking other members like CH has been doing.  I've reported quite a few posts as trolling, but I don't think anything came of my reports.

So all in all, it's just something we've all got to put up with unless Theymos changes his stance on the enforcement of that rule.  Things were so nice and quiet for months, and now the shit is starting to get stirred again.  To me, it's almost as if things are getting back to normal in a weird way.  And if a particular member is pissing you off, just put them on ignore.

Lol at suchmoon

Attacking other members = presenting unpopular but on topic irrefutable truths they want to remain hidden.

Imagine how all the other scammers should complain. These horrible scam hunters attacking us. Lol

But wait suchmoon is reporting all of these trolling posts but can not provide even 1 example here that demonstrates that they are trolling.

The conclusion one has to draw = suchmoon is trolling.

Post the examples suchmoon.

Meanwhile suchmoon goes to their threads where legitimate discussions are taking place and demands the discussions stop? That's okay though.

Hmmm seems like suchmoon just doesn't like being revealed as a moron who gets destroyed when trying to fight against people presenting the truth. Then when their specious arguments and excuses are crushed they start crying troll and being a baby about it all

You must learn to accept your betters suchmoon. I mean you simply don't learn. You will never successfully debunk my points because they are the irrefutable truth.

Now last chance : bring your examples of trolling you are reporting and we can examine them together. If they are found to be conclusively debunked lies being presented as truths then fair enough.

Watch no examples will be presented because they do not exist.

I mean I won't even ask for the conclusive proof they are CH alts because suchmoon knows that is impossible.
That is irrelevant anyway.

Examples of conclusively debunked information being presented as true or you're a liar.

Let's see.

The reader is likely very confused: all of these highly trusted DT1 are screaming troll but then can not provide any examples .
That is weird? I mean if someone is a hyper troll there must be lots of examples of clear trolling right?

These hyper trolls must be filling this forum with conclusively debunked crap that they are claiming is true.
Show us suchmoon where is it all? Just one example ?

Attacking these poor innocent members accusing them of conclusively debunked nonsense ? Where is it? Just one example. ?

I will investigate it with you here and now.

You have to be a seriously disruptive troll in order to get banned

The simple answer is that it's more efficient to let the users remain on the forum under one account (or a collective of alts) wherein users will have a foundational knowledge of "avoid this troll" and can thus subsequently ignore the users' posts.

In the event of banning, a moderator has to distinguish three key components: the value of what is considered a "troll post", the threshold of value one must surpass to be deemed a troll, and the rate of decay or other parameters in relation to the troll value.

That takes a lot of effort. Much more effort than the 30 seconds the troll will take to sign up a new account to do the exact same thing, only this time people haven't changed anything in relation to the account's trust/reputation/ignore preferences. I can't say that it's a viable solution for the long-term, nor is it something that I would implement, but it is somewhat justified in my eyes, similarly to the use of the investor-based games board.

Why is that not sanctioned more by moderators?

They need to be reported so that moderators could take action. The success rate is not very high (although some of my recent reports against korner seem to have been successful) and it's unlikely to lead to a ban, mostly just the posts get deleted.
Well I think it depends on our moderators, one of them might find a post not that trolling and the other find it obviously trolling. This happened with the user spy100, I think you remember this guy, mods did not sanctioned him they just delete his posts. Basically, trolling definition depends on the moderators.

Still, if it annoys you - report them. Brace for some bad reports.
Just report and ignore, that will do the job.

I don't understand what forum rule NO TROLLING means when no actions are taken against trolls?
Rules don't apply for trolls?
The definition of troll on the forum is quite complicated. Admins/moderators have been taking action against serious and obvious trolls. But we have seen a ban for a troll is very less. If I say something against you, then you may report it as a troll. So during the report of troll should write a proper explanation of why do you think this post is a troll. Simply create a thread (false accusation) against someone would consider as a troll and a ban isn't suited for such as user. Perhaps when they will cross their limits and moderators get multiple good reports then a user gets punish like a temp or parma ban. But most likely moderators are limited with troll definition.

Users who recognize the hypertroll sockpuppets quickly will put them on ignore, which makes reporting even more unlikely. And the trolls are still being fed by other users, who may quote them, rendering ignore inefficient.

Still, if it annoys you - report them. Brace for some bad reports.

temporary shadow banning might be an easy solution.

Yes jetcash that will work very well.

But first we need to locate some trolling to present as examples here so we know how these trolls attempt to pass off provably false and conclusively debunked information as true.

Why are we all talking about dealing with all this trolling we can't even locate and present here as examples??

Maybe it doesn't exist? When you go to copy it here you realize what you thought was trolling was just the truth?

The challenge to any member here crying about trolling is just to present an example ??

Why can not one member present all of this provably false information that these trolls are frequently and relentlessly claiming is correct and true?

This is very strange ?

Is every one else here a liar or a troll? Maybe you guys are trolling me? There is no trolling by this " hyper troll " that you claim exists?

Troll is like as trust, the forum does not moderate it as I know. game-protect is a good troll example. He troll over years and he did it from personal to company targets.

He get temp ban 2 or 3 times and the last time, he tried to attack theymos. That attack attempt caused his permanent ban.

Look at him to know if he did not attack theymos seriously, he would have not been banned permanently soon like that. If troll is seriously moderated, many trollers would have been banned.

Community can help with "don't feed the troll".

Sure but why can't we have a 'special' stinky role for them in their profiles for everyone to see, and maybe even some badge?

If people can be banned for plagiarism, then they can be banned for repeated trolling and spamming the forum, or charge them evil fee if they want to write.

Present  a specific example of the trolling to which you claim is taking place.

Are you sure its trolling and not just a truth you find inconvenient?

Post an example ffs. What are you afraid of? You're not telling lies are you?

If the forum puts in the rules that trolling is telling the truth then you could be on to something here.

You achieve literally nothing by responding to cryptohunter trolls. He has been bleating the same nonsense for over 2 years. Nothing you say will change his mind. All you are doing is wasting your time and making the forum less usable and less readable for everyone else.

Just click "ignore".
Exactly, it is just waste of time.

I agree why are those promugating provably false information as true not banned? Like oieeioe or suchmoon or any other DT1 troll who insist on promugating false information as true??

Especially those that accuse members or trolling when that accusation is provably false. ?

Most of DT1 are deliberately and wilfully accusing anyone that presents inconvenient truths about them of being trolls?
Why is that permitted? They want the forum to become an echo chamber? Ashamed of there past histories here?

I say ban people instantly who accuse people of trolling when that accusation is provably false.

Start with suchmoon and ioeioe or whatever that fools name is.

These people are attempting to silence the truths others present and have even started stalking their threads demanding the debates and discussions taking place end.

The problem is people can not debunk or refute the truth so they attempt to label it trolling.

What this for example.

Can you provide some examples of cryptohunter or the alts you speculate are his TROLLING. You know where you have conclusively debunked his points or the evidence he presents and yet he continues to present them as truths?

Where is the incorrect information he is promugating as true.

I challenge any member to bring it here now. Let's wait and see.

I say no examples will be presented because they do not exist.

Notblox1 can you present the examples of what you are whimpering about?

Yes or no?

If you constantly accuse someone of trolling here but can not provide an example of the incorrect information they are presenting as true then you are the troll. Sorry that's a difficult concept for you guys to grasp.

If you want to change the definition of troll to : person who presents inconvenient truths to the reader that is unpopular with the others posting on that thread, then appeal for a change of definition.

Reveal too many inconvenient truths you are awarded the prestigious title of " hyper troll" lol

Like trolling the forum also frown-on/agaisnt this other characters/action or behavior
Quote
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

2. No off-topic posts.

But we have them happening/being-done on the forum and will this stop? For me its No.
No troll accepts they are trolling even if they are, and when you feed them it like you guilt of trolling them.

I guess users are just too matured enough to take trolls seriously. I think that it was written back then in the forum rules as there are still a lot of less quality discussion back then as there are no merit requirements to rank up hence even trolling counts towards the ranking. Also, I think it was just written to lessen the users whom have either a foul mouth or inappropriate humor. But yeah, people and other users prefer to ignore than to really report such kind of activities.

If you were to question the rules and why trolling is belong to its prohibitions, think that there are still not enough strong moderation nor standards back then when it comes to both ranking and campaign requirements. Hence, it was just written to at least try to lessen the trolling users.

Everyone can ignore them. It's as simple as clicking the "ignore" button. I wonder why more people don't do it.
