Mexican and South American immigrants are not the type of people that do that sort of stuff.

That's what I thought too so I was kinda taken aback when I first heard it. It did started checking it when I saw your reply and it turns out that they simply lowered the penalties for such behavior May 2017.

No, I'm quite serious. These are not those kinds of people. These are mostly civilized people some from farms many from cities all with mobile phones. Most look for work and find it, often work for cash. $150USD / day is typical.

There's a seriously bad percentage like 1-5% that has to be reckoned with, of course.

.....The social cost would also probably be high though not as high as Europeans are going to pay. Heard one town in Colorado made it NOT illegal to defecate in public coz these people are pooping everywhere and they'll run out of prison space if they catch them all.

....
LOL, then that wall is just for show. Why jump over a wall if you can just walk around it. Grin

Because they don't want to walk two miles in that dirt. And they know that once on the other side, it's 30 miles to the next town and 25 miles after that is the interior border check.

Most of the border is totally unprotected by barriers. For the most part they rely on natural features such as mountains and rivers. If you are taking into account all the public resources they use once they get here there is no doubt a wall would pay for itself very fast.

This probably wasn't a big problem decades ago else the US would have already completely fenced it off then. I understand why people are arguing about the expense though. Just that border with Mexico is longer than some European countries' land borders with each other.

Has anyone made an estimate of what these immigrants will cost the US during their entire lifetimes? The social cost would also probably be high though not as high as Europeans are going to pay. Heard one town in Colorado made it NOT illegal to defecate in public coz these people are pooping everywhere and they'll run out of prison space if they catch them all.

I'd guess less than 10% had a serious wall, 90% nothing or maybe a simple wire fence or a 100 year old ranch fence. Some of those areas are very rough.

One town I've been to, there's this nice 25' high fence made of 6x6 rectangular steel tubing on the border. But you look off in the distance, maybe a mile down you can see where it ends....

I'm not familiar with the border part of the US but since I've seen border checkpoints and fences in movies and such, I'm assuming that there is some preexisting "wall". How much of the border with Mexico have at least a fence?

SO you give a link to an article claiming a Harvard study proves tons of things about how illegal vote. Their source link is broken. Then I go to the CCES site and try to find such study by myself and find nothing but a raw data tab. ....

here in the USA news stories about illegals voting are fairly common. These matters are investigated both at the state and federal level.

Usually it's state compilations of fraud that are pretty accurate.

I wonder if the expense of building a wall would outweigh the expense of having process all those migrants. I've seen news about those coming from Central American countries like Guatemala. These "migrant caravans" broke through Mexico's border fence, were offered jobs and such but still proceeded towards the US.

You said all of my sources were broken. None were broken, you are just crying you had to do 1 extra step to look at the source, the name and contents of which were provided.

So you mean the link wasn't broken but I need to go find the study by myself? How illogical is that? If your source wasn't broken I wouldn't have to find it on the CCES site xD

So yes your link has only one source and this source is broken.

Then when I go try to find this miraculous study explaining how much illegals are voting I find only raw data (not a study) so your source is lying with talking about a "Harvard study" (or at least they're not providing any link to such study and this study doesn't exist on the CCES site).

And when you look at the raw data you see that there is no category, no label, nothing refering as "illegals" or "nationality" or anything similar.

SO you give a link to an article claiming a Harvard study proves tons of things about how illegal vote. Their source link is broken. Then I go to the CCES site and try to find such study by myself and find nothing but a raw data tab. Then I open this raw data tab and don't see anything related to something like what your article claims to be...

So now please shut the fuck up.

The links work fine. I am sorry you live in a totalitarian nation that prevents you from being able to view these sources.
No it doesn't...
The link to this article:

works but sadly the only source of the article, the famous harvard study, doesn't work:

Before you speak next time maybe inform yourself. Yes in many states no ID is required to vote.

Then your problem isn't the fraud but the voting system which is so stupid even a 5 years old would understand it's not a good one.

I mean you litteraly ask for people to just come in, sign a piece of paper then vote and you complain about frauds?? xD

The good thing though is that frauds are probably both ways.

Well, that was hard... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Cooperative+Congressional+Election+Study

You don't need to tell me this system is a problem. Direct your criticism to the Democrat party. The Republican party has been trying to get voter ID laws passed for some time, but every time they try Dems scream bloody murder about racism, because it some how stops minority peoples from voting in ways they can't exactly explain. Regardless the fact is fraud is rampant.

Also your attempt at equivalence is false, because illegal immigrants lean heavily to the left. Furthermore the pattern of past proven recorded fraud also lies heavily in the realm of the Democrat party. I am from Chicagoland, a place of at least 4 generations of unbroken organized crime control under the Democrat party & the home of Obama. I don't think there are many lessons in this realm you have to teach me.

Yes, our voting system is that stupid. It largely works for the benefit of Democrats, who are continually working to keep it that stupid.

I just love how all the sources links of your article are, by pure coincidence I'm sure, broken.

So you got an article talking about dead people voting (which is a completely different subject) and another one saying 5% of voters are illegals (OMFG how can anyone believe this?? xD) with TOOOOOOONS of precise numbers but sadly the only link towards the amazing study behind this is broken and the name of the study doesn't give anything of Google.

PURE COINCIDENCE of course.

By the way can you please explain me how a non citizen can even vote? I don't even see how that's physically possible. Anyone can enter a vote office and drop a couple of votes without having to present any kind of ID where you live? xD

If yes that's the dumbest voting system I've ever seen and even newly democratic African don't do this. Just change your voting system into something less moronic.

Before you speak next time maybe inform yourself. Yes in many states no ID is required to vote. Democrats fight voter ID laws tooth and nail claiming they are racist and will some how reduce the minority vote in spite of the fact every other nation on Earth requires ID to vote. In reality it will reduce the illegal vote, which they need desperately. This assertion is false of course.

They barely let citizens of color vote and TECSHARE thinks undocumented immigrants can just walk in and vote.

That's just another bald faced lie and you know it.

And yes in many places they can do just walk in and vote.

Just FYI Mexican is not a race, it is a nationality. Or perhaps you want to tell me I am racist against Canadians again? The race of the individuals illegally crossing is irrelevant.

True, but there are "races" within Mexico. Get down to Meridia, pretty much Indian no hispanic influence seen. Not that our Canadian friend would have a clue of course...

He probably thinks they are "brown people."

I know that building that wall is expensive but what I don't understand is why Americans and Westerners are making a big fuss about it. It seem to be just common sense if you have a neighbor who don't like you or is a source of immigrants. No one complained about that India-Pakistan border wall that can even be seen at night from space. Thailand and Malaysia are building walls too. It seems building border walls is only bad if you're a Western country, as if everyone else have the right to just walk in.

In the US at least they are making a big fuss about it because the Democrats just lost control and refuse to acknowledge it and have resorted to kicking and stomping their feet for the last 2 years in order to prevent any appearance of success manifesting from Trump. Also the only way they have a chance in 2020 is if they can get a bunch of illegal aliens to vote for them.
