My favourite part of the declaration was when he said "I didn't need to do this", I mean the man is so stupid he said out loud he didn't need to declare an emergency lol.  You fucking trumptards will believe anything the orange retard says, you should believe that part of it!

So did the Democrats.  They pushed Trump into it, thinking it would ruin him.  All that after trying to get $40 billion for "border security."  More like $40 billion for Fast and Furious.  It's going to backfire (pun intended.)  Americans want a secure border, while petty Democrats merely want to prevent a "Trump Wall" sprawling across hundreds of miles across our southern border.


Why would Trump call for a national emergency for any of those things?  You can't have a national emergency against the constitution.  The 9th circus can only delay the inevitable...  With six more years of Trump the 9th circus might start looking like a real court again. 


And they are, in a round about way.


Trump is working for the best interest of Americans, and having a POTUS who does was long overdue. Fixing border security is getting to emergency status.  If problems such as drugs, human trafficking, and thousands of illegal immigrants don't qualify as an emergency, I don't know what does.  To put things into perspective: Democrats don't want to spend more $1.375 billion to protect Americans, but they'll spend tens of billions per year on foreign aid or some random boondoggle.  California's governor has over $3 billion of federal grant money that he would rather squander on a train he knows won't get finished, than give it back to help pay for the wall.

I'm perfectly fine with having the Supreme Court decide the issue of whether the border is or is not a national crisis. There seems to be a difference of opinion on the issue, doesn't there?

Ah I see, since he is not fulfilling them all this promise being fulfilled is meaningless is it? Most people who support the wall don't care. Frankly I think he will figure that out later after everyone has forgot about it and assumes it has been abandoned. There are lots of ways to get it done, but they would all be impediments to getting the wall built which is the first priority.

Thank god Cortez can't be President for another 8 years, maybe then people will notice how crazy and barely functioning her brain is. God her 'green new deal' is a horrible thing to see, I don't know how anyone can support it.

I think it sets an amazing precedent actually!  A few billion dollars now for the ability to side step congress in the future at will, holy fuck it's going to be so awesome.  Just think for one second what President Warren or President Sanders could do with this power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Or in a few years President AOC...

Honestly, this is without a doubt my concern as well. I do really do think that this is going to set a precedent where the executive attempts to overstep.

I do think that SCOTUS will side with him. Though I really don't FULLY know what fits the definition with for 'national emergency' so we'll have to see.

We at least agree on this setting a bad precedent Hellfish!!!!!!! I think that even if he does lose in the courts, he can say that 'he tried' to his supporters and that he did his best, but DEMOCRATS stopped him.

First politician in a long time that's actually fighting for his promises. Wonderful to see.

TL;DR - Trump fulfills campaign promise, stock market rallies, liberals upset.

Incoming national emergency in 2020 for gun violence, climate change and national debt!  Look for the democratic POTUS to usurp congress at every possible opportunity!!!

Trump aint getting any of that money, Truman tried this horse shit already and it didn't work, the courts (even the conservative SCOTUS) will not allow a precedent like this to move forward.  Trump already knows he is getting sued and will lose in the 9th circuit and the appellate court and is praying that the SCOTUS will side with him.  This is going to be held up for a lot longer than Trump will be in office and the court cases will get dropped as soon as Trump is out of office.

Trump lost on his wall and he lied about Mexico paying for it.  So either the courts knock this shit out or it sets precedent for future dem POTUS' and in all honestly a few lousy billion for a precedent that will open up a world of awesome sauce is probably worth it in the long run.

Now let Mr. Trump carry on we wouldn't want to interrupt him when he is making a mistake!

I think we all knew this was going to come sooner or later, Trump has officially declared a national emergency regarding what he calls "an invasion of the country" I don't know if everyone this section will agree with this, though I personally do think that a border wall (and more funding for border security) is necessary to combat the problems we have at our border.

Trump is going to be able to divert around $6.7B from other appropriated areas to use towards his wall + the money that was secured in the last spending bill, which I'm pretty sure is around 1.4b
