Don't know who Ross is, but he should pardon Michael Lacey and DOJ officials who persecuted Backpage CEOs should all be fire (at minimum!).  Washington Swamp creatures deserve no quarter.

Have you no mercy? Give them quarter... a quarter of a cell, that is. And they can fight over who gets to use the commode first.

Cool

The Ross thing and the January 6 thing are certainly not small, especially for them. But here is the thing that is big for us all. And this is at least the third time it's being brought as a distinct possibility.

At least now we'll be able to find out Smiley
I think that he'll do something. Maybe not release him, but the word was said, so he'll honor it somehow and he clearly said he'll commute the sentence "on day1" so let's just wait and see what happens.
He had considered it in 2020, but probably had too many things on his mind at the end of his presidency. Now there's enough time, so I'm pretty sure something will be done in this matter.
His exact words were: we’re going to get him home. IMO Ross can start packing.

First priority should be to get ALL the recent political prisoners out of jail - notably the Jan 6 group.

Ross should IMO be out of jail because of the twisted legal arguments that caused him to get there. I hope it happens.

Ross’ family has to be feeling pretty good about things at the moment. Trump is showing 55% of the vote at the moment which is a huge lead. When is the last time a Republican candidate has won the popular vote? I’m loving what I’m seeing so far. I hope there aren’t any last minute surprises this time. Although the lead this time might be too big to finesse.
Lyn Ulbricht, Ross' mother has not stopped campaigning for the freedom of her son. She had even claimed that her son was innocent. It will be a great joy to the family and they will be expecting their son home soon.

Still, Trump isn't going to do shit.

You don't believe me? Just wait and see.
His reputation is at stake. He should do what he promised to prove he is a man of honour. But he can still decide not it do it and nothing will happen. After all, he is not contesting for the presidency again he has nothing to lose.

However, if Trump commutes the sentence...

Consider that Bitcoin is just about at its highest, right now, with a simple Trump win. Think of how high it will go if Trump releases Ross.

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
That will depend on several important factors, like whether he deserves the current sentence, whether he has changed (or willing to change) for good, or has suffered a lot in prison.
Though it's within the power of leaders to forgive prisoners or commute prison sentences, they'll still have to consider such factors, and the pros and cons of whatever they decide to do otherwise they get blamed for any bad outcome.

Unbelievable as in I don't have a whisker's hope that Trump follows through with this promise.

That is literally something he could have done last time.

He begged Trump to sign his clemency but that piece of shit refused.

I still hope Ross goes free one day.

Trump has changed a lot since his first presidency. He used to be a hardcore fiat supporter, but now he surrounds himself with people who like cryptocurrencies.
I think that if he promises something now he'll feel like there's a debt to be paid to his voters.

Everybody knows Ross deserves a normal sentence. It may be 10 or 15 years, but not life. He was made an example of because the FBI was afraid of people like him: smart, difficult to track tech enthusiasts. They wanted to discourage young people with that life sentence and it didn't work because there are similar markets all around the web. Trump wouldn't risk anything by changing his prison term to 15 years. Prison is supposed to eliminate dangerous people. Those who are unable to live in a society and could continue to break the law. I don't think that Ross is such type of person.

This is great. Now Ross can make speeches at universities about how not to be sloppy with security when the feds are after you.

Of course Ross deserves what he got. But only because he never took the time to find out how to stand in court without becoming a "ward of the court." He signed up to become a client of attorneys... a ward of the court: https://ia802206.us.archive.org/30/items/278619049-1133656137412710-4046072623955558117-n/159018923-Corpus-Juris-Secundum-Volume-7-Section-4_text.pdf

Right! Right along with the J6 people and Julian Assange.

Cool

Quite distasteful of you to suggest someone like Julian Assange, who has fought for a more transparent world and the spreading of the truth behind the surveillance systems out by the government would be compared to a handful of raging people who literally caught themselves on camera and on streams breaking into the Capitol of the United States.
Do you actually think it would make sense to give the same treatment to someone who broke your home and tried to steal and someone who set up a webpage to publish his news and talk about opinions which are contrary to those which are held by the government?

If I agreed with you and that implicit comparison, then I would seriously consider to check my moral compass and what I would truly stand for. Assange deserves to be free and talk his truth,  breakers in and those who defaced federal property do not get the same reward.

Makes me wonder, since you are Venezuelan, just exactly where you stand regarding US elections. Want to see what I mean? Watch this short video.

You know who's really nervous about the election? Ross.

Today he will find out whether he is a free man or whether he spend the rest of his life in a cage.

He definitely has a lot at stake and a lot of people pulling for him. It would be amazing if he were let out and it makes me wonder what he would do with his life after incarceration. This isn’t the only reason to hope for a Trump victory, but it is the cherry on top. Hoping Ross gets the best outcome from this nightmare.

This is the dirtiest politics being played wherein first they will imprison the whistleblower and drag their case for ages and when they are in power they won't give a damn and still have audacity to use their names for election purpose. We have seen how ross as well Julius Assange has been rotting in jail, never trust these politicians and rather they need to promise and manifest charges and punishment against department framing then in false cases.

We are seeing a focusing on some things because of the needs for votes. If the current regime want to start proving that they are good, they need to do the things that the opposition has promised. They can do them now... if they are good. It will help Julian and Ross if they do it now. The opposition will follow through if the current regime doesn't do it.

While this is inconvenient to the extreme that things have to work this way, when the country is as large as it is, it takes longer to move it.

Absolutely don't trust the politicians. If you are a US, UK, Canadian, or Australian citizen, bypass the rulings of the politicians by learning the things here https://www.youtube.com/c/CraigLynch/videos. There are other places to find this info, like right in US, UK, Canadian, or Australian law.

Trump was president for 4 years while Ross was rotting in jail, he didn't give a fuck, now that he needs votes suddenly he remembers him, by November he will promise us to resurrect Hal if we vote for him!

When Biden signed a bunch of executive orders in the first two weeks of his usurpation, he did it that fast because it was all prepared for him by his people ahead of time. In fact, Trump derailed a lot of what the Deep State was doing. They didn't even have to think to know what to tell Biden to do.

Were there people who asked Trump to pardon Ross back in Trump's first term? The fact that Trump is getting around to Ross now shows that he is gradually getting things into place. Do you want to help Ross, or not? Biden has had almost as long as Trump to do it. Do you think Biden will?
