We can't say everyone in this world can speak English but this forum is mainly based on English and I guess anyone using internet might have basic english skills so I prefer adding some "Hints to no english feedback with English".

Like Scammer,Exit scam,Fake project will save lot of time for both sides.

Maybe somebody should start a project to help the local members learn English.
Do you mean like a small forum project?
Then, theymos will assign a single English teacher on each local board?
Not a bad idea, sir. But I doubt theymos still has no BTC to pay some English teachers. We know that it is used for the rewards of the art contest.

IMHO, Google Translate would do the job nicely. After all like the others have mentioned, there are non-English speakers so they might not be able to convey their thoughts in English.

Alternatively, just ask a local member there to help translate?

Feedback Language

Local board: - Can be in local language or English (People usually comment in local language, but no problem in English since they mostly know about it)
Global board: - Must be in English (English is the international language)

Posts in Local boards count in the millions, and one of the reasons people posts there is because they don't feel their English is good enough to post on the main forum or worse. So you can't expect they'll be posting their Trust ratings in English. If it's in their own language then even if a dictionary/google translate/etc fails to do its job, a native speaker can still understand what the comments say. But if Google Translate (or other tool they'd use if they were to be forced to leave Trust feedback in English) mistranslates the comment then everyone will be left confused.

If the Feedback is given to a other User in the local Board it should be written in the local Board language, because there a few users they dont understand english!
If Feedback is given in english Boards it should be in english written .
Personally, English is a must. Local boards help locals but English is a must to join the forum, IMO. In addition, a negative feedback helps the others (not locals) have an overview on one account that received feedback. So if feedback is not written in English, it is a challenging for them to understand. Using Google translator is not a solution.

Not difficult to learn one line of writing into English, without using google translator I think it's easy, trust from DT.
I agree with @iasenko proposal to make it easier for other members to read and rate.
Yes, of course, all DTs should look at this topic about this discourse, but I am not sure because trust is not moderated, which is an obstacle, everyone thinks emotionally.

The issue is nobody just start his/her jounery been a DT member, he/she will get voted in by the community so supposedly someone that was very active in his/her local board and have been tagging scammers with their local language, you don't expect that person to go through the stress of rewriting all tagged in english just because he's now a DT member.

Also tagging scammers with local language will be beneficial to the local board users especially as the scammers is operating within the local board.

I think this is important for the whole community and there are only benefits.
I also understand the struggle of some people when using English but when you leave to someone feedback it's to inform the rest of the members. At least a rule for those who are on DT, if you end up there you need to take the responsibilities as well.

While I understand your issue, this could have some negative monoculture type results. IMO if you don't speak the language of your trading partner you should probably in general not be trading with them anyway.

Maybe the new forum could have built in translation links on posts/feedback.

Just use Google Translate or some other translation site. It might be even better than the sender of the feedback trying to post in English, which they would likely mangle horribly and it would be useless in any language.

I agreed with bitmover but I can not disagree with iasenko. The problem raises by iasenko is a must thing (somewhat) because scammers can do their scams in local boards or in English-boards. They mostly active in locals but there is no guarentee that they won't scam in English-boards after discovered in locals and tagged by DT in local languages.

Nevertheless, I don't agree that there should be a duplicated of trust feedback on one scammer for only one scam detection. I meant if a DT members have to leave two feedbacks, one in local, one in English; it will automatically increase the level of scam severity if someone quickly look at feedback page.

If there is something like that, I think a ref link (from feedback in local to English) will be helpful, to save space and avoid duplicate.

This user scammed in xxx local  board. blah blah blah. See the English version of the feeback, here

I have an opposite idea too. That is a local should know English (at basic level to understand it) but it is difficult to ask one should learn and know Spanish, Russian, Japanese, etc. at basic level. Therefore, if there is no option for two versions of one feedback, only English-written feedback is better.

Sometimes a. Feedback in local language is more important than in English.
If the scammers is scamming is Russian board, the victims probably don't even talk English.

Maybe a translation would be nice , putting the feedback in both languages.

An English feedback is useless in Portuguese board. People who go there do not speak English.
It is important just because users can see the red tag.
