The irony is that merchants LOVE bitcoin because you have to trust them to deliver; you can't chargeback.  So if you really trust no one, the bitcoin economy is pretty much doomed. It's cash except the advantage is that it can be transmitted without being face to face, but if you because it's not face to face, you won't hand it over? So... bitcoin transactions only in person?

It's quite sad to see people do this.
I mean come on, where's the satisfaction of having money that you haven't earned.

I feel so proud just when i see my balance raise by 0.001 Smiley.
Anyways the guy is right, shouldn't trust people 99% anywhere online.

BitcoinHarlemite some trusted Bitcoin wallets are Blockchain.info , Electrum , and the Armory . The armory is probably the most secure wallets out of them all, it's for storing large amounts of btc.

Um, okay...

Then what Wallets do you suggest? Which security systems do you approve? I mean, if we as newbies are not supposed to enact trust on vets, then WHY in Pygmie nutsack should we even venture into the world of BTC?

I'd like to put out a 5 BTC bounty for whomever can reveal the person behind [email protected] gave me a lovely welcome to the btc world---and I'd love to thank them for it in as public a way as possible...
The fact that he uses a GMail account should have been your first clue.

Actually we were texting his number is/was +1 647 795 3222. Number appears to be disconnected now...

Only got an e-mail after payment was sent. Unfortunately headers were scrambled on that e-mail so there's not someone with my relative lack of sophistication can do...

Wtvs life goes on... Now I will always use escrow and be more careful of encryption with wallets etc... Tough intro to the world but I'm certain that my complacency would have been more painful in the future...

Best,

The inernet has always scared me about using PID, bitcoin has made the possiblility of being scammed out of somehting more than just 'doxxing' and that is real money. I have spend a good deal of time in in #bitcoin-otr and have seen some painful scams people have endured. I have been very careful about stuff as a result.
