Quarter-final matches have taken place and really showed very great match but there was one match that surprised me, namely Fenerbahce defeat against Ankaragucu with humiliating score of 3 - 0.
Fenerbahce is very strong team in the Turkish Super League because they are in 2nd place with 70 points and only suffered 1 defeat while Ankaragucu is in 15th position with 29 points and 10 defeats.
I saw how everyone who was Fenerbahce fan was really disappointed by this defeat and it was very clear that their coach did not believe that his players could be beaten by lower team in the Turkish Super League competition.
Fenerbahce lost in the 2024 Turkish Cup and it is clear who will advance to the semifinals so we will see much fiercer match.

However, I think the reason why we lost this match was Ismail Kartal's wrong choices. Fred has been out for a couple of weeks with an injury and we are struggling in midfield. Ismail Kartal played Krunic and Zajc today. I think these two players are not enough for Fenerbahçe. I think we should have started the game with Mert Hakan Yandaş instead of playing with these players when Fred was out. Also, Bonucci was not ready. Becao could have played instead of Bonucci.

There is no tough draw for the quarter finals. Since there was a seeding system and Trabzonspor wasn't matched with the big three, the favorites had an easy draw. There is something to be said for the semi-final. Galatasaray seems to be on an easier path to the final, but they need to get past both of their rivals first.
