The loss of the captain and goalkeeper there is still felt to this day and if you look at this is the worst season for them when compared to previous seasons.
I didn't watch this match until the end as I assumed it would be a draw but there was a mess that resulted in another Penalty for Galatasaray.
Luckily they got a penalty in the last minute of extra time because otherwise I'm quite pessimistic for them to secure the position

Galatasaray is a great club, Galasaray has always been a subscription to the champions league, but it's a shame that Galatasaray this year played so badly, they have played 26 matches they only collected 32 points, even now they are still ranked 13th in the temporary standings, this year they can already be in make sure Galatasaray will not be able to get a place in 4 standings at the end of the season..

Rest assured, under normal conditions, they both finish third and fourth in the league. It is very clear that Adana Demir and Başakşehir will not stay there until the end. I completely agree with you, Anatolian teams are never sustained around top ranks in the league. They always go bad around mid of fixtures but when we go through end bigger teams of Istanbul ALWAYS go better. I think Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe can secure 3rd and 4th ranks in upcoming weeks rather easily. But for Galatasaray I don't think it is possible anymore. Galatasaray made emergency transfers only to stay in league far away from lower parts of table.

Galatasaray again couldn't perform so good, regardless of the win. It was a crazy game about the penalties. Referee gave one of the penalties and then cancelled it, that was crazy. Göztepe played better than I expected. They found some good positions to score but couldn't finish it. They seem like not a bad team and the league and the country definitely need teams from Izmir. I hope they will stay in the Super League.

I believe nobody could have predicted this many penalties. The betting for that must be unbelievable.

Right now, it is Adana demirspor and Basaksehir there and we know how one of them did, and we know the other one wouldn't be really that great as well. Bigger clubs could at least spend a bit more money and could get a bit better results. It's not a given, we have seen them get eliminated right away plenty of times as well, if that will be the case then they may as well not even go.

It's a shame for Göztepe. While the value of the league is decreasing day by day, these funny decisions are cooling the fans from the matches. Who pays to watch this league? There are silly decisions in games that cannot be watched if you give them for free, there is theater on the field, not football. A few big names determine the fate of the league. They even had an effect on which team would be relegated and which team would stay in the league.

Yes, in a week that all the major teams win, it would be another blow to galatasaray if they lose. And not only that, if Göztepe wins, they will have one point above Galatasaray in the standings. Galatasaray's morale will be at all time low, I think. Never in the recent history of the league, any one of the big three was this bad. Göztepe has a strong fanbase, they are going to affect the game in Göztepe's advantage. I am expecting at least a draw or Göztepe win.

Antalyaspor sort of secured itself with win. Kasımpaşa hit same points with Galatasaray. It is going to be so much dangerous for Galatasaray now. Defeat means 16th rank and 16th means possibility to relegate. Team should not lose as we already discussed. Risky but draw bet might be okay.
also Başakşehir should beat Konya if they don't wanna be surpassed by Fenerbahçe.

Teams that play like lions against other teams suddenly become cats when playing with Trabzon. Today, we saw how Alanya fell behind with simple mistakes they made. There is no explanation for the 100% positions they missed. They gave an appearance of complete surrender. Nwakaeme and Cornelius show how much they want the championship. They play very passionate.

Trabzonspor is so dominant right now, I wouldn't have expected them to actually become even stronger after the winter break, but this is what is the case right now. Konyaspor tied the game and now it starts becoming ridiculous. There isn't even any mental pressure for the Trabzonspor whatsoever anymore. Strong season, nothing to add.

If I remember correctly there were twenty four shots hit the post this season. Add almost two dozen uncalled penalties to that, Beşiktaş could've been at the top. This is one of the most dramatic seasons we've ever seen. Champion team lost their manager because of these. We are watching very unpleasant and noncompetitive season. This is last year of broadcasting rights, I think that connect with leagues current situation. There was a gap and they filled it just like they did two seasons ago due to covid.

I don't remember as well, this season we didn't score many goals from corners or free kicks. This was Vida's first goal, he usually scores four or five goals per season and that help Beşiktaş a lot. We didn't see that this season, this was first three points we get from Vida. Last six games Beşiktaş only score one goal per game, finishing problem continues. They should work that intensely in training.
