This thread needs one of those "this thread is gold" memes.

Good job OP, love to read success stories/journals, keep growing.

For anyone considering buying Bitshares, here's some decent TA.

Interesting thread, going to follow it. If you do not mind me asking, what is TA?

Yes, it's true. If you are trading that all coin in the lowest prices then sell it now. You will became a millioner when you do that but its hard to predict coin who is pumping or dumping so that it makes us deliberate for it to take good decisions.

Although it is possible, but it is a very difficult road. Need great luck, and great ability. Well, even with $ 1000 you can do it, with bitcoin, you can achieve whatever target you want, but it takes a very hard effort.
Yes I agree that having a goal to earn a million dollar is quite a hard thing to achieve and to do. But it is possible as long as you will take time on giving effort in a form of you tradings. Just like how you will manage to invest a lot of money you should also invest time and management for you to have that big earning. Take time to plan on both long term and short term trading where you follow the basic of trading such buy when it's low and sell when it's high for you to earn more.

Wtf you are really going to beat it. I watch it since the beginning I am speechless. You literally converted your 10k into almost 50k$ while my x amount of btc got me only %200 or smth since the 1k$ price range from January.

I still have hesitations for litecoin tho. What was the price of ltc when you first bought it? I am too afraid to get into ltc while it is +40$ and bitcoin is about to get segwit. On the other hand I can't help but think that segwit on bitcoin may actually pump ltc even further. I am too coward with alts, I'll never be rich it seems Cheesy

Nice job.

Yeah, so far, so good, but that can always change, especially with heightened uncertainty. There's lots of speculation that BIP91 isn't the end of it yet for BTC and lots of talk still of splits (plural). Here's a sample: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@stan/bitcoin-unchained-the-platform-independence-movement

My bet, and it's a bet, is that LTC will do well in that kind of an environment, as will other, top notch cryptos, but the rest could get slaughtered. And LTC could also get slaughtered right along with everyone else. And what happens over a four day period could well be devastating but very short lived - volatility could well go up and what starts out going in one direction reverses hard in the opposite.

Diversification and a strong stomach are the only things I can really recommend. Everything else is an educated guess.

I'm currently very long and completely unhedged. If the general market gets slaughtered, I get slaughtered too. We'd then have to be patient and watch the proverbial paint dry as prices slowly but surely (if you've picked good ones) come back.

And none of that could happen, and everything goes up. The stock and bond markets are out of short term trouble and climbing again, so there is rational to support another broad based rally, BTC included, even BCC and BTC-U!

Just bought 1 BTC worth of each. Breaking rules here and going very overweight both basically because I don't care if prices on these two go lower short term - long term these are big time winners, digital milk cow "retirement fund" candidates.

Hey HR, I follow your thread even though I don't write commenst. This is a good opportunity for the people who can't dare to start trade now. We see your positions and strategy so that we can have a perspective of market by reading your posts. Thanks dude.

You're very welcome, and thank you for your feedback. The main idea is exactly that: to share ideas and try to make investing in crypto a little bit more "user friendly".  Wink

most of coins are pretty bullish right now
except litecoin, the btc price dumped from 0.021 to 0.016
and most people start to think LTC could turn bearish due to segwit being now also implemented in BTC

I suppose you won't turn your litecoins into altcoins because of risk management, but this must make you feel "bad", knowing it could bring a lot of money

This is what matters:  https://m.poloniex.com/#/exchange/usdt_ltc

For example, those who shorted on the last spike to .022 are under water in USD terms.

Last night I got filled on NLG at .00003310 for .2 BTC to bring its intermediate term position up to 100%.

I've got 5 "intermediate" term position trades on: BTS, SYS, STEEM, PIVX and NLG. 30% of the portfolio is dedicated to intermediate term position trades, each at 5%, which means that the remaining 5%, more or less, is in reserve in BTC. LTC represents ~46% of the portfolio, and the rest is short term trading, again, more or less - I'm slowly getting the portfolio readjusted.

As for ARDR/NXT/IGNIS, I plan to leave them out of the portfolio completely. Got a couple of offers in place on NXT, and with that, I’ll be done.

this make me uberly sad. I'll quote this on my suicide letter and blame you   Cry
why did you chose to go out of these projects ?

also I'd my interested to know how do you determine how much a coin should weight in term of portfolio % when you pick one (or sell one)

what make you say to yourself "I want 8% of gulden and 2% nem" rather than "2% gulden and 8% nem" ?

I've heard too many negatives lately regarding NXT & Co. with probably their being late to market being my chief concern. Not too sure about their financing scheme either. When you're not sure (meaning having a high level of conviction), it's best to leave it alone. Sorry.  Wink

Why 8% Gulden and only 2% NEM? Subjective analysis that led me to liking NLG much more than XEM. Much better risk reward for one - Nem had already run quite a bit and was pricey, for example, but that was my opinion, or subjective analysis that got me there. As I've said before, one key question I ask myself is if I'd be comfortable being a bagholder, and if I'm not, then it's better left alone, like with Nxt, or being really light, like with NEM.
