Well, I am a gambler since my younger years and BTC was not yet discovered by Satoshi at that time, so I am a gambler before I started investing.
Regarding the other question, I think a gamer has a higher chance to be a gambler first than a BTC investor. This is a fact, there are bets happening inside the game, you name it, CS, Dota, etc.. They put money at stake to make the game more entertaining and that's considered gambling.
Unlike an investor which have different paths to take, he can be a long-term, short-term investor, a trader, or would not just give a damn about gambling at all.

Which one has a high possibility of happening, a gamer eventually becomes a gambler or an investor turns into a gambler?
No, neither of them....! Both are the same, messy.

• investor then turned a gambler

I remember what was said by:@Rida Morwa
If Investing Feels Like Gambling, You're Doing It Wrong

This proverb is always embedded in memory.
Quote
Risk of ruin is a concept in gambling, insurance, and finance relating to the likelihood of losing all one's investment capital or extinguishing one's bankroll below the minimum for further play.

I have to have two options in life.
1. Investment/separate.
2. Gamble/separate.

What I mean is.
I invest with my hard-earned money, professionally I don't mix gambling money with investment money, I prefer to provide investment returns to my family, without having to involve gambling money.

My goal is to gamble only as entertainment and experience, where I have to involve money to bet, really hot money, so winning for me is not a pride as well as losing is not a cry for me, solely for pleasure for me.

Of course, these two reasons are not an option for me, except: the poll implies 'investment' or 'gambling' of course I choose both, why both, of course there are reasons for that, as I said above.

My answer is, it depends on whether you are originally a gambler before investing or not. There might come a time after investing you might find yourself gambling after getting into cryptocurrency since blockchain is also used by gambling platforms and is advertised anywhere. I can't see any relationship between investing and gambling, it all depends on how you view cryptocurrency, if you treat it as an investment then you will never invest just to gamble away your money.

People learn about crypto in various ways, gambling can also be one of the reasons for it.

You own the pen
Today bitcoin is more stable, despite its volatility and I think people who buy bitcoin don't have that gambler mentality in general.

That same mentality will ruin their focus to get the best out of their investment because they won't find any humility in investing especially with the current situation of the market and they will gonna easily become a victim of a pump-and-dump coin. The hype will gonna ruin their plan and they cannot resist it but if they only have a strong will to keep holding their BTC without carrying about the hype of shitcoins, they could persevere until they find themselves in the same situations as most successful investors do when they were patience holding their bitcoins until the market exploded with bull runs.

Wait a minute, @OP. Does his son really gamble BTC or play computer games like other kids?
If his son doesn't know anything about BTC, maybe he's just playing computer games or gambling fiat instead.

His father worries too much about his son and that is normal and actually, his father can approach his son and ask what exactly his son is doing so he doesn't have to worry about it.

A person can be an investor and a gambler depending on how he treats BTC and vice versa. I am both an investor and a gambler and I am okay with that.

Whatever the case should be, the idea is just to stay in profit.
Investing is not as easy task and same thing applies to gambling but whatever the case should be, both a gambler and an investor wantes to be happy and just make money.
I was an investor before switching to gambling but that doesn't I mean I stopped investing, I only see gambling as a way to making passive income and on the days my winnings are much, I use mist of it for some more investments while I still try to gamble responsibly.

First of all, check the poll you entered, it's almost the same option just a twisted sentence.
turned gambler after investing - still, an investor first (do you mean before investing?)
investor then turned a gambler - yes just the same as above.

A gamer has the highest possibility in my opinion.
Gamers usually buy premium things in the game with the expectation to get better rewards in the future. Yes, it sounds like gambling.
Unlike a purely innocent person who knows little about Bitcoin, then just invested in it, there is a possibility he/she won't even bump into gambling.
Trading, maybe, has the highest chance.
Even if the investor totally abandoned investing in assets only to switch in gambling. I think playing a gambling can still be called as investing. They invest money in the game or they deposit so that they have something to bet. Another thing that they invest is time and effort. In some gambling sites like bitdice, bustabit, and bitvest you can also invest on them (literally).

In investing, there is also a gambling with it or so-called risks. Old school gamers are free from the influence of gambling but the one that is exposed in gambling are the kids that play modern games in the app store and android store because most of the games there are pay to win.

Which one has a high possibility of happening, a gamer eventually becomes a gambler or an investor turns into a gambler?
But first, answer the poll which are you. Are you a gambler that become an investor or an investor that turned into a gambler?

I was and remain a gambler. Even when I invest (in some alts I like) I consider that as some form of gambling... gambling is a philosophy!

Whether someone will like trading or gambling depends on many factors. People generally like to try and experiment with new things, it's important what we encounter first, whether there is someone close to us who will introduce us to and guide us through the world of investing or gambling. There are various and incredible examples, I guess each of us learns about things along the way... so I don't think there are any rules about this matter.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
I'd say a gamer is higher chance to become a gambler since gambling is also form of game. While investors that mostly an adult people or have a good financial management already know what is gambling, they're already mature to make a choose. As long as they're gamble with amount that they can afford to lose, it's fine.
But even someone that is not a gamer before can see ads of gambling site and just try some simple games which could be where he would begin to play game with real money. A gamer may have a high chance to become a gambler, but anyone can become a gambler.

Anyhow to answer, I was originally a gambler already before even sinking into investing in crypto, tried doing some gambles as well when I was investing but went pretty badly so I just went for DCA's a few months back.
I knew about cryptocurrencies in 2019 but I have been gambling since 2014. Some people do not know about cryptocurrencies but they are gamblers. There are also still fiat gambling sites.

Uhh OP I think the options are the same?

>Turned gambler after investing ("after")
>Investor then turned a gambler

She began to worry since her son is on the computer all the time and might gamble upon learning the BTC can be gambled.
I wouldn't think of connecting gambling to BTC really. If the said son was investing in BTC then that in itself should be a time and money sinker imo, and would probably give him enough stress that I wouldn't really consider doing anything else. I'm just baffled how a simple convo of a son using the computer all day turned into BTC and then gambling. Your average gamer joe just probably plays Dota 2/Cs:go or some variant of those really.

Lol, that's what I want to say when I read the topic title, but when I read the whole post the @OP trying to say it's investor who turn become a gambler and a gamer who turn become a gambler.

Gamble responsibly
This is just a question got from someone I hangout with yesterday when I introduced her to investing in BTC. She is 50+ but managed a busy small hotel and has a son who had been playing games on the computer all the time. After some discussion, I advised her to just remind the son not to gamble the BTC.
Her son is not a gambler, why should she tell her son what could make him begin to gamble? She should not mention anything like that to her son and she should backup the seed phrase and have it safe in different places and delete the wallet from the computer.

She began to worry since her son is on the computer all the time and might gamble upon learning the BTC can be gambled.
Another option is for her to use a strong password to encrypt the wallet, but best not to leave the coins on the device, like I said earlier.

Which one has a high possibility of happening, a gamer eventually becomes a gambler or an investor turns into a gambler?
But first, answer the poll which are you. Are you a gambler that become an investor or an investor that turned into a gambler?
Anyone can start to gamble any day as they are exposed to gambling and see gambling as a way of turning $1 to $1.5 (as a way of making money) but which has more down sides.

Dunno. Probably nobody can tell with confidence.

We already know many bitcoin investors or traders also put their money on crypto casinos.

Don't gamers make bets too when they're playing with peers? I'm guessing they also bet on tournaments like DOTA2 or other competitions.

I don't see the relation, especially with bitcoin. I think the crypto market may attract those who are already gamblers, but putting money into shitcoins hoping to hit the next 100 or 1,000x is quite similar to gambling.

Today bitcoin is more stable, despite its volatility and I think people who buy bitcoin don't have that gambler mentality in general.

In any case, I think the path is from gambler to gambling with cryptocurrencies or bitcoin, not the other way around.

The biggest possibility is that he can enter the gambling games to become a gambler, especially when he does not have good self-control.
But he will only become a gambler if he sees advertisements about gambling, especially when he visits his social media pages. At this time, there may have been many hidden advertisements containing gambling.
I am an investor who is also a gambler but a responsible gambler by always monitoring the amount of money I gamble with.
He should really watch over his son, who often plays games on the computer and taking him to learn to manage his hotel would be better for him so his focus would be distracted from playing games all the time.
