You must to find hidden gems with low market cap. Only with this it's possible.

Low market cap, plus low total coin supply are good indicators.

Check out XRP and Eth in one year, they went more than x10. For Ripple it was over x300; for Ethereum, it was over x100. It's quite possible depending on the ICO, their team structure, advisory board and the community of supporters.

Good for you. Anything is posible with proper strategy and alot of luck. Because its hard to predict if the coin you invest in will grow in the future or will dump.

Looking at the market you would think this is possible but if you look again you'll realise how important timing is, unless you have more to spread and time to wait, you'll never know when a coin is about to spike, you'll never know how big the spike is and chances are even if it goes up 10x you'll probably sell for less or go to far and have it dump, you've then missed your chance and the profits will be less, if you bought it on the ride up you may just end up with a nice loss.

Seeing a coin spike and thinking you could of taken that whole gain is optimistic for some one with your approach.
Also with $50 you'll find yourself holding on just 1 coin at a time, this can be quite risky.

Over say 5 years with a very patient mind you could possibly pull it off, but who knows what will happen in 5 years with crypto.

A more realistic way to get 25k in a year which I would also advice against doing unless you've got the experience, borrow $5,000 and split it over 3-5 coins going places in the top 100, hold for as long as it takes to get $25k, you may just get it in a year if your coin choices are decent, but with the wrong choice you'll go in to debt

you know what, I think this is possible!

BUT

Its going to take dedication, time and timing!
You will have to keep a look out on news articles etc.
to see what is happening in the markets and make your
plays and you may have to take big chances here and there.

Its intriguing and would be nice to find out the progress.

It is not impossible not to be. We can still see a few dollars in 2-3 years if we invest in a coin of $ 0.001 yet. It is a very difficult thing but not impossible. If you have money to throw away, you can find it on such investments Cheesy

It is very risky strategy to invest 100% of your money in only one cryptocurrency. You should diversify your investment portfolio min to 10 positions. Better slower but correctly.

It is not impossible to do. First you will find a coin.
The price will be quite low. You will buy only for a few satoshi. Then maybe you will wait a few years. during that time you will never sell your hand.

Sleeping on exchange platforms, you can make x5 in one week and eventual x100 in about 6 months if you have the time to follow your exchange very closely.
A couple of currencies bump x3 daily and if you're lucky and smart enough you can cash in on these occasional bumps and grow at breakneck speed.

This strategy means being on the alert 24/7 till your aim is achieved.

However as most have echoed, you'll need to do a lot of research to stay on top of things - whitepaper, roadmaps, dev and team profiles, and communit feedback. Keep your emotions in check when market goes south. Diversify portfolio once you hit triple digits into other potential coins - and even ICOs.
