that will be very interesting for twitter, could this be mean that they are going to be like steemit that they are going to pay the users for some task I dont know yet about their coins but that sounds promising and since every company is making their coins sounds like its a good thing coming for crypto

Are you sure about the news, if Twitter will launch a decentralized platform? I think, that idea will not be realized. because there are no signs yet that Twitter will lead to the launch of a decentralized platform. but we'll wait for what the future looks like.

Maybe yes maybe no, by the way it just a plan. Facebook has Libra and maybe Twitter also see new opportunity in crypto, that's good. I see so many company release their own coin but never survive, they look like scammer with brilliant idea collect money and gone. If twitter want to launch a decentralized platform they need learn from facebook experience, as starter use big name they still fail.

It's looks like twitter will not create their own cryptocurrency, Jack is prefer to Bitcoin.
He's product Square Crypto is focused on Bitcoin, not the publicly traded company’s specific products.

It is not that easy to have a "decentralized" platform, it is not easy to actually do anything decentralized. People see blockchain and bitcoin and think anything could be decentralized but what they are wrong is that blockchain is perfect for a currency, it was made for a currency, how the hell would a twitter type of social media platform can become decentralized with absolutely no administration or rules?

People would literally write "I would like to hire someone to kill a person" or something illegal and if it is truly decentralized and not have an owner that person won't have any troubles until figured out who they are. That is not something that easy to manage and I feel it would be quite difficult to build it on technology sense but also impossible for the legal sense.

To attract crypto community they used Decentralized label, especially Jack is the fan of Bitcoin and see he's platform is full of crypto community that will be good market for he's project.
He's journey possibly start from Africa

Decentralized they say? I always have second thoughts on this one specially we do talk about big platforms on here.
Facebook trying to do such thing and other messaging app but what we can still on abiding with their own terms. So where's the decentralization on here?
They might able to integrate blockchain tech but i dont 100% believe on going to the road of fully decentralized.

Applying decentralization is somehow impossible especially known social media accounts like facebook and tweeter. Base on my own perception, they just want to caught the attention of many here in crypto currency community and to gain more investors as well as those users to support their own platforms.

not fully decentralized like that, Twitter will still use their TOS. I also wonder what else Twitter can do while there is already an example from Mastodon's ActivityPub. Decentralization will also confuse Twitter where they are known to be very strict in prohibiting something that is different from their provisions, so what exactly can they provide?

Twitter is subsidizing a little research group to manufacture an “open and decentralized social media standard” to make Twitter a customer of this standard. CEO Jack Dorsey uncovered before yesterday and laid out his case in a tweet, despite the fact that he recognized that the procedure could take years.

The undertaking is called Bluesky, and nobody is working on it yet. The Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal is entrusted with finding the lead for the endeavor, which will develop a group of five men. The Bluesky record’s just tweet refers to Dorsey with “lo “— a gesture to the main email ever to be sent on the Internet.

It seems like a lot of people have lost their Twitter accounts because they are promoting bounties or airdrops. My account is also banned permanently with 15k followers. Even though I don't promote too many airdrops or bounties in one day, only 1-2 RTs. If Twitter really wants to update to decentralization, I hope it can support the bounty hunters and airdroppers activities. Because if we get banned again, our livelihoods will disappear.

Despite all the controversy at least they are trying to put a little effort and a little budget aswell into developing a decentralized platform which is a good thing. After the booming of open-source now the entire world turns their attention into decentralization. Honestly, I like how this is going.

A decentralized platform so the users can now post anything they want? Well, let’s see how the new platform will work and let’s see if they can survive in this competition knowing that twitter is not that good because of limited platform. Many social sites now showing some sign of adoption, its food for us.
That's also my concern regarding this matter. Learning from torrent which is decentralized. Censorship is not quite possible unless there's an effort from the authority but we'll see.

This simply tells us how the future will look like, i mean each and every company starting from online businesses and services and then to traditional corporations everywhere we will see the implementation of blockchain technology and all this will lead us to mass adoption of blockchain and also crypto.

But, does it need to make a coin?
You want to implement the blockchain on your own company and yet you also want a coin that would get a value too.
Is that the future?
Then everything will just be about the money and not the future anymore. This are just the works of greedy people who want more from those weak and poor.
Nothing has really changed.
Facebook Libra and now Twitter. Hello, Instagram, what are you waiting for?

I think Twitter needs to work hard enough and prove that it's not just nonsense, my friend lost 2 accounts when following the signature campaign, and airdrops on Twitter, but the results of no account were lost. Maybe for now I can just monitor the development of the issue. If it's profit, then I join the existing project.

I don't think that's surprising for now. All social media platforms will compete to create such technology, whether it's digital currency, counter-blockchain or technology that is currently hype.
Because basically they want to make their company bigger and get even more capital gain, that's not a public secret. In addition, in the future there will be more cashless societies that will cause all modern platforms to follow the trend.

Their original twitter is already full of shit with their stupid TOS & banning account jut like that even if it's proved 100% human.
They won't make it " better " when trying this decentralization thing because they already failed with their original one.
Banning accounts on twitter makes sense, many spammers are on twitter and including scammers as well, they are like sharks waiting for their preys, crypto scam on Twitter is so alarming so I am with Twitter for blocking accounts, this doesn't make them a bad social platform

After the telegram, facebook and now it's Twitter's turn to plan to launch a new project. I think Google will soon make the same plan and this is very interesting, where technology giants will compete to become winners (among them)  Grin

I hope their new project or product can be launched soon and I am very excited to see the competition between them, but I personally do not expect to have what they will create later, except they give airdrop   Tongue

It is not yet "soon." For now, Twitter is still creating a team. This will take a long time. The first year or two being intended for study and planning. Although this could be expedited in a way because the people who are very knowledgeable about the creation of decentralized platforms are rising due the popularity of this new approach. And considering also that Twitter is a rich company. It has the capacity to hire the best people in their team.

Blockchain is now the trend and it will continue to be the trend onwards, and Twitter just want to take this opportunity to join the bandwagon, I'd like to see how they are going to create the features, I don't like Twitter, that is why I never join any campaign on Twitter, it's the easiest way to lose your account.

This is probably the first step ever done by a social media giant into decentralization. This is a fantastic undertaking on the part of twitter. Jack Dorsey is really a supporter of decentralization. Facebook had its own plan to enter into it but it was not really decentralizing its own social media platform. It was more of a venture into cryptocurrency to create more money rather than to contribute to the rising adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency. It was more of a business interest rather than to disrupt the system.

They do ban too many accounts because of breaking the TOS they make using Twitter is unpleasant because it struggled to build her and arrived hit by suspending or banning. And now they want to make decentralization on their company yes such nonsense.
