This is crap idea. Twitter is just the same with Facebook. Now they are trying to plan a crypto project? Come on, before you warn twitter users if they have affiliation on crypto you will suspend their account now this? Im not sure what you after but some people will probably not support this or yet buy those coin if ever you launch one.

This will become a good use case for blockchain technology if it's successful in development and its very forward thinking and might go some way toward increasing twitters popularity and user base which has been lagging behind other social media platforms in recent times

This is still a discourse. in my opinion the discourse is difficult to realize. because if Twitter will launch a Decentralized platform, they will have to study and explore in detail. and I see no signs that Twitter will launch a decentralized platform.

EVERYONE seems to be on this trend as of lately, to make everything decentralized. Pretty fascinating.

When you consider that Blocknet is the ONLY true DEX on the market, with a marketcap below $5 mio. it makes it a NO BRAINER basically.
You can read more about it here: https://blockdx.com/

Bisq, Waves, IDEX, Binance is not truly decentralized, if you look at how they actually function, some of them are close, but not really there just yet.

Great to see Twitter moving this way, let's see if they actually do something in regards to this, or if it's just a publicity stunt, haha!

that will be very interesting for twitter, could this be mean that they are going to be like steemit that they are going to pay the users for some task I dont know yet about their coins but that sounds promising and since every company is making their coins sounds like its a good thing coming for crypto

Decentralized platform sounds very interesting. Yes, I agree that the decentralized platform has advantages over centralization. Hopefully the news is true.

Their original twitter is already full of shit with their stupid TOS & banning account jut like that even if it's proved 100% human.
They won't make it " better " when trying this decentralization thing because they already failed with their original one.
Twitter is need a failed social platform and I don’t even understand its usage nowadays, really crap site to socialized better to use instagram and facebook. Anyway, if they adopt a decentralized platform then for sure they are preparing for something big, something that we really have to look for. Let’s give them a chance to clean their site and to give a better service again.

I have experienced that several times where my account was banned for no reason at all, I am using my account as normally as possible and posting according to their TOS but they still ban my account, I don't know how they are going to do it, they will face criticism just like what Facebook has experienced with their Libta coin.

It's still too early to start making conclusions. It's wrongly to blindly judge stuff without reviewing it. For now, your post is just hearsay.

I knew that the Twitter team was up to something. Less than a month ago, Twitter CEO and other top team members visited African and held a Bitcoin Meetup in Nigeria.   and the announcement is live.  I knew that since the inception of Libra started, other social media giants would want to follow suit. Crypto and Blockchain is the trend at the moment.

Even if that was already centralized, fully managed by them and alive right now. The problem is twitter can't even handle the centralized system and I doubt it they can do that when it comes to the decentralized system when anything will not be centralized. TOS has made by twitter is really sensitive case that twitter can ban account anytime.
a few years I never active use my twitter again and last month I have tried open it and it's got banned by twitter.

for social media and the decentralization means nothing when it comes to create a connection in the communities.

Let's see how this would turn out, judging by how much twitter is enjoying banning accounts for the slightest of offences, j was beginning to think that they might enjoy centralisation too much but evidently, we can still be surprised, I hope it works out great, it would be a huge win for Blockchain technology.

The mass banning that they did depends to the rule that you violated. IIRC, most of the banned accounts were used for twitter bounties.

There is a tendency that they have been ban because of that and twitter can't retrieve those accounts afaik.

Pretty sure Jack Dorsey could produce something pretty special if he really wanted to devote the energy to it. However, he's the CEO of a gigantic corporation, he likely doesn't have the bandwidth to spare working on another moonshot.

They take a look of time and mental energy, something he probably has very little to spare right now, while outsourcing these could be more expensive than a moonshot warrants.

I think he's happy to stay as a bystander, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in some sort of advisory role at some point.

Twitter is subsidizing a little research group to manufacture an “open and decentralized social media standard” to make Twitter a customer of this standard. CEO Jack Dorsey uncovered before yesterday and laid out his case in a tweet, despite the fact that he recognized that the procedure could take years.

The undertaking is called Bluesky, and nobody is working on it yet. The Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal is entrusted with finding the lead for the endeavor, which will develop a group of five men. The Bluesky record’s just tweet refers to Dorsey with “lo “— a gesture to the main email ever to be sent on the Internet.
