That will be great if it goes through. This will further strengthen Bitcoin and give it a strong image, considering the fight against in recent times.

Since the topic of conversation came about Twitter, then I have two questions.  Roll Eyes

[1] Someone knows where you can find a list of all cryptocurrency companies that have a verified Twitter account?
[2] Has anyone already delved into the details of the new feature - "Twitter Communities"?

Just since Jack Dorsey is a supporter of Bitcoin and is trying in every possible way to integrate new technologies into his platform, I had a slight desire to participate in this ... starting with the creation of the "Bitcointalk Twitter Community", (as far as I can tell this is a kind of subreddit but only on Twitter).

I believe this was only the beginning of the social media payments system for crypto.
Whatsapp just announced they will be allowing crypto payments via novi payments platform but for US residents only for now.
https://techcrunch.com/2021/12/09/whatsapp-begins-offering-novi-money-transfers-to-some-users-in-the-us
But it is a start.

This is why Twitter is one of my favorite social media platforms. They’re always making a big move that other platforms hardly considered. now there will be the first that has done this, and I believe that with time other social media platforms are going to start doing the same thing. I will see lots of them who will start paying their content creators through Bitcoin.

Bitcoin as a payment method should be something that is available on all major platforms by now, and content creators should be allowed to choose whether they will like to get paid through cryptocurrency. I’m also looking forward to other platforms like Google accepting it on platforms like YouTube .
What a great idea by Twitter! Doing so would actually help boost bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption worldwide. When Twitter starts paying content creators in bitcoin, that would help bitcoin to get more exposure to the world and more people will join the bitcoin community and cryptocurrency ecosystem in general.
The lightening network usage have spiked over 3000 bitcoin volume once after the entry of El Salvador and with the adoption plan of Twitter. Days back twitter once again revealed plans of having a wallet tied to each account to make the crypto tipping easier than depending on some third party wallet service. The step taken forward by Twitter is really big and helps big with bitcoin. The new CEO for Twitter have taken charge, and he might bring more advancing things into Twitter in the upcoming days/months.

I’ve consistently been using Twitter for posting crypto-related stuff and as a content creator myself. However, I still have long ways to go as I don’t have a lot of engagement on my posts yet. However, I’m taking it one day at a time and keep building till I got decent engagements for every tweet I make. This would be really a good opportunity for content creators who are using Twitter.

We really hope that this is not just a discourse because we have heard of things like this where many companies want to adopt or make payments using bitcoin but if Twitter wants to make payments using bitcoin to content creators then this will directly have a good impact for the survival of bitcoin, if this can be realized, bitcoin will automatically be displayed clearly in the advertisements of some of these social media, including our Twitter, which is very diverse.this will actually be realized, not just a mere discourse

Don't think will impact the development of bitcoin's use on the platform but Jack Dorsey has resigned last week and here is an article showing the letter of resignation from the company:
https://www.inc.com/jason-aten/jack-dorseys-resignation-letter-from-twitter-reveals-a-harsh-truth-about-leadership-most-people-never-learn.html

Also his other company square renamed to block so this should show how devoted he is to cryptocurrencies as a whole:
https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/cryptocurrency/articles/square-changes-name-to-block-is-jack-dorsey-all-in-on-crypto

The name change for the company (including sprial for the other division of the company) will take place on December 10th of this year.

Just an update on the above, it appears that the feature has been enabled for android devices as well. You should be able to use any wallet that supports LNURL.

-snip-

It does seem you need to be in a region that has access to the strike app. This is how they are enabling twitter users to send it through their platform.
So not everyone can use this application as it describes it is for El Salvador and some states in the US.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some videos of the developer of Strike/Zap saying that twitter's feature should work with any lightning wallet (blue wallet, Eclair, Zap, etc...)

I haven't gotten to chance to try this yet though, does anyone have an idea when they're planning to push the update for android devices?

For those who are wanting to know how to use the tipping feature there was an article put out a day ago on how it can be done.

This is a step in the right direction. An awesome positivity towards lightning network. Jack has always been so positive about Bitcoin. Better rewards for Bitcoin content creators.

We all need to give a big thanks to Jack Dorsey for being a huge bitcoin supporter and introducing countless to bitcoin and to showing much of the world that bitcoin is a great achievement.  I think he said something to the effect that "bitcoin reminds me of the early days of the internet".  Jack also said that he plans to make a hardware wallet at some point which is also pretty damn cool.

Very good news for bitcoin lovers of course. I think that with this collaboration, Twitter will be one step ahead of other social media and hopefully other social media can also develop the same thing that Twitter is doing. This will be good for twitter, bitcoin lovers will grow with a good future.

This still seems to be rolling out as I can't find it anywhere in the app or website.
It is not available on most twitter accounts yet either.
Maybe you need to have your account validated to some extent just as one having a higher trusted account shown with a blue check mark besides their user profile.
This might be a kind of compliance policy they might implement before allowing people to receive or send bitcoins.
There has not been any word at this point.
