In the match, Man City is showing a great game at their home ground and beating the City fans. Man City have already scored 2 goals to reach their target and put Real Madrid under enough pressure. Haaland's two headers at the start of the game were a sight to behold but Courtois saved them beautifully. However, Bernardo Silva's two great goals were very attacking. Man City led 2-0 at half time, but Real Madrid has the potential to score more goals later.

UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg was between Inter and Milan. "Derby della Madonnina" was a great pleasure to watch. Trailing 2-0 from the first leg, Milan had pushed hard in the first half but they didn't be succesful. Inter reached their first Champions League final for 13 years with Lautaro Martinez's sole goal. Inter will undoubtedly be the underdogs against either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the final in Istanbul on June 10.

That goal attempt by Haaland that was denied by Courtois at the 12th minute or so...  It's a bad omen.  Sorry City backers but I think you guys are gonna lose your money.

It's all City in the first half but Real Madrid is gonna pick up the pace and get one 'lucky' goal in and that's all it's gonna take to take them to the final.  Real Madrid win 0 - 1  Grin Grin

Edit:  ANOTHER ONE!  Bad omen for City...
Man City played very well tonight. They completely dominated the game and they played aggressively. This made Real Madrid lose a lot of space, and making it difficult for them to develop their rhythm. The pressure exerted by Man City forced Real Madrid to completely defend and actually, Man City could have scored more than 2 goals, but unfortunately, the 2 good opportunities that Haaland got were still thwarted by Courtois.

What an awesome performance from Manchester City,Real Madrid looks like non existent in the field and I am checking the live bets in most casinos, they rightly gives Manchester City 1.02 to win and to Real Madrid 16.25 as a draw as I too believe Real Madrid is already out of the game and they seem completely impotent to force their way and show their football against Manchester City.Of course Real was lucky last year to score 2 goals in additional time to qualify in the semi final but no this will not be the same as Manchester City looks like on another planet and can as well win 5-0 in this game.

I don't believe Real will be able to equalise in the second half either, but I really hope so... Of course City are not Liverpool when Real managed to score five goals after conceding two... But I agree with you that City have absolute dominance and Real just can't be seen on the ground... I wish their game will be better in the second half...

...that is basically some of the worst defending I've seen from Real in a Champions League match ever. I wonder why they didn't stop soaking the play from City as soon as they went 1-0 down.

There will be no dark magic in this tie to save the game for Madrid, sorry in advance.

Manchester City raced out to an impressive in the first half. Real Madrid were unable to withstand the onslaught. The Citizens have taken a two-goal lead. I have no idea what Madrid will do in the second half. City are in the Champions League final, I have no doubt.

Real Madrid is two goals behind Manchester City in the second leg of the UCL semi-final. It felt like Real Madrid forgot the game when they went to Manchester. Real Madrid managed to keep only 13% of the ball in the first 15 minutes.  And in these 15 minutes they could not make a short and target. The goal difference could have increased if Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois Haaland had not made two excellent headed saves. If Real Madrid were one goal behind they could have made up for that one goal but being two goals down makes the UCL final very unlikely for Real Madrid.

Manchester City has really dominated the game, Haaland two wonderful header on goal stopped by Curtuois and Grealish is having a great game, he's doing well on the left flank and keeping Calvajar busy. Two goals in 36mins of the game by Bernado Silva to put the home side ahead. Real Madrid is doing their best to comeback but they are really sloppy with the ball and lack confidence. I think Modric needs to be substituted in the second half, he's far from his best and always losing possession.
The first half has shown results and somehow Ancelotti's strategy to get out of the pressure of Manchester City. In the second half, Real Madrid had to change and at least get the chance to attack. Based on the first difference between the two, it is clear how effective Manchester City's game is when launching attacks. Benzema, Vini, and Rodrygo have not been able to find a gap to break through the solid defense of Manchester City's back line. The match had a very fast rhythm, attack after attack that Madrid received was relentless, so Courtois had to work even harder. The Madrid defender without a Rudiger looks easy to be played by opponents.

City really played a high game in this match, even in more than 30 minutes City actually controlled 81% ball possession. Interestingly, City had many opportunities but unfortunately they have not been able to break the deadlock. in fact, Haaland's header was pushed over by Thibaut Courtois. he made several saves. in a previous post, I said that City's first goal would be scored by another player not by Haaland. and yes, that was proven by Benardo Silva's goal.

On the contrary, Madrid really struggled to get out of the pressure. because City is always able to snatch the ball quickly from Madrid players. the only chance Madrid had was from Toni Kroos' long-range shot, unfortunately the shot hit the crossbar.
Once again I say, in this match Pep Guardiola will position Haaland as a player who opens up space for his team-mates. and yes, Benaldo Silva scored the second from his header. for a while, City were 2-0 up and the first half was almost over. I suspect, City will add to his goals. now it's Haaland's turn to do it.

Manchester City dominated the game and we're consistent with putting pressure on Real Madrid to force the goal. Before the goal, the Real Madrid goalkeeper made like two very important saves, but he could not score. The goal will make Real Madrid play out more. Second goal for Real Madrid and scored by the same Bernando Silva. It is obvious that it is the intention of Manchester City coach to win this game in the first half. If they score again to make the goal three, It is over for Real Madrid.

So how can anyone expect the seasoned Real Madrid to beat Manchester City from the first half when they don't have much of a ball to play? I don't want to talk too much about the first half because actually Real Madrid just practiced like playing cat and mouse while chasing the ball from foot to foot of the Manchester City players.

I think 2-0 is the best answer to make Thibaut Courtois and all the Real Madrid defenders suffer. Now the first round has ended, so I hope that each of us can make a small conclusion for the results of the first round.

Yesterday in the Inter-Milan derby, Inter were the winners again and they became the first team to qualify for the final. The hosts were the team that focused more on the match and had more scoring chances and they managed to win the match even if it was 1-0.They had won the first match 2-0, so it's a 3-0 win in total.I think it's a great success for Milan to even get this far.
Today the other semifinal match is being played. The first match ended in a 1-1 draw. The first half ended 2-0 to City and we see that the favorite is now the side that is going to win.Manchester City is dominating the match. They had a lot of possession in the first half and they had a lot of goal positions.Real Madrid has not been able to respond to this yet.If they continue in the second half in the same way, they will be eliminated.

Well now we have 40 minutes played and Manchester City is up with 2-0. Overall that result is definitely deserved in my opinion but it still it seems rather unlucky for Real Madrid because the 2-0 for Manchester City happened only a few moments after Toni Kroos has hit the crossbar with his shot from the distance. So at the moment it seems like ManCity will advance into the final. Real Madrid has to score 2 goals now only to get into the extra time and at the moment i don't think this will happen. Of course the situation was similar in the last season but the big difference now is, that they are playing in Manchester today and not in Madrid.

Give all before death
Leaving Rudiger out could be a tactical decision because he was by far the best player in the first half, not allowing Halaand any space to attack. I'm just thinking that Ancelotti wants a quick start, an early goal, and then bring in Rudiger and Tchuameni in the second half to finish the game off. I just hope it doesn't backfire, but it's a good tactical decision. The partnership of D. Militao and Alaba will be lively, since both players are good with the ball and have  good build up from the back experience too
I am not comfortable with this kind of tactical decision. I assume you are just guessing because nobody knows the reason for dropping Rudiger. But reserving the best defenders might be a big mistake. Madrid should not expect to get an early goal because they are playing against one of the best teams in Europe. I think they should have fielded the best players that will match the strength of City. If they field a weak defense because they want to score quick goals, they might end up conceding early goals.

Madrid has just conceded the first goal scored by Silva and I hope they will not suffer more of this. Courtois will have to be alert because the pressure is too much.

What a great save by the Real Madrid goal keeper Thibaut Courtois to deny Haaland a goal, the Manchester City players are putting Real Madrid players under much pressure just to make sure they make some mistakes for them to score but so far the defensive line of Madrid has been so good that's why City has find it difficult to score even with the massive dominance.

I hope we don't seen a repeat of what happened in the first leg of the game where Manchester city dominated the game but Real Madrid scored the first goal with the first goal attempt.

You would expect Manchester City to start the game actively at home, but here City has already made more than 120 passes and if it were not for Courtois, Haaland would have already opened the scoring.
A perfect pass from Grealish and it's unclear how Courtois could pull out such a ball.

Real is playing without the ball, which is very difficult, but Real should hold out for the first 20 minutes and by no means concede a quick goal, because it can be followed immediately by others. I hope that Real can withstand this pressure, but so far it seems that there is only one team on the field - Manchester City.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
The long-expected match between Manchester City and Real Madrid is happening this night. Against what I expected, Manchester city is dominating the match while Real Madrid is yet to find a way to enter into the game, even up to 10%. They cannot pass forward, they cannot pass backward. So it is a problem. I do not really understand why the coach of the Madrid - ancelotti decided to benc Rudiger, who did a better job last week by marking Haaland. Today, it seems that there is no defense and there is no Midfield. Anyways that have been the pattern of Real Madrid but when it is time to deliver, they will do their wonders. Let's see what happens.
