This 1-0 defeat must be a huge disappointment for Napoli. You can look at it in different ways of course. Napoli had a great chance within 2 minutes. And in the first 20 minutes they should have scored at least 2-3 goals. If you don't, you're bringing the trouble on yourself. But if Napoli reach their level as they can play, then we get to see a nice game in Naples. I wouldn't dare say who the favorite is now after the first game. AC Milan was very good in the league match against Napoli when they won 0-4. Would Benfica have no chance at all in Milan at Inter?
Honestly, I personally thought that Napoli would win the match very well. But the Milan team is suddenly able to produce extraordinary performances. From that point of view, Napoli tried very hard to win or draw the match. But the Milan team's defense lineup has shown extraordinary skill.
Napoli's problem still looks the same from the last few matches, namely their weak finishing. For this second leg, Spaletti will have to create some conditions where things like that are minimized and of course the presence of Osimhen now can be one of the conditions that are quite good for them.
Apart from that they were quite the favorites from the start of the group stage and it would be a shame if they failed in the quarter finals.

The only team in the Champions League I was not expected to see at this stage is Chelsea because they had a bad performance in the previous weeks and I was expecting to see Dortmund at this stage instead of them but regarding the other teams, I guess we can see Manchester City and Napoli at the final match because they both are doing very well, especially Napoli because they have enough time to get recovery from the Serie A games and get themselves ready for champions league games.
Of course it would be very interesting if Napoli could be in the Champions League final this season against Manchester City (and even if Manchester City could beat Bayern Munich and also Real Madrid) because I'm also not sure that Chelsea can hold Real Madrid from advancing to the next round because Chelsea's performance this season is not very good and also not on par with other teams who are still in the Champions League now.
Before this season i always be underestimate Napoli to win champion league because just like i said before Napoli is always be underdog status because in the last several season they even cannot able reach to quarterfinal before and indeed Napoli highest achievement is came this season that they were always be performing well in every competitions and one thing for sure their journey until quarterfinal were very easy compared to other teams because since group stage until quarterfinal Napoli always be gets the weaker opponents than him

And if i am not mistaken the winner between Napoli vs Milan will be faced the winner Inter vs Benfica and if scheme is true then probably Napoli chances to advance to the final match is quite high because they can be avoiding strong teams such as Bayern or Real Madrid on semifinal match and this time probably they will fight for the title in the final match and they have good possibilities to get their first trophy in this competition
Yes, that's how you say it, that's why many Madrid fans say they want a possible final to be between Real Madrid and Milan, and even though it's technically possible, you have to worry about your performance with the team that I Consider it not so surprising but if one of the toughest, personally I would have liked to see the Napoli vs Bayern match, First to test the level of Titans and second to see Bayern's performance with a new coach and against a team that is plugged in They have won many victories, both in the UCL and in Serie A.

I think it is over for Bayern Munich in this tournament this season. They should have performed better against Manchester City in the second half. They were really weak at defending and Manchester City were one of the best teams to benefit from this golden opportunity. Manchester City have the most effective attacking line among the teams left here now. Haaland did his trick again and literally carried the team to a 3-0 victory.

His contribution with a goal and an assist both was really worth watching for me. He has already been a goal machine since the beginning of the season. Bayern Munich must have been aware of this danger already but they still couldn't prevent this. Actually Haaland wasn't effective in the first half but they couldn't stop him in the other one. Even if Manchester City don't win in Allianz Arena they should still be advancing comfortably with the help of this score advantage.
bayern have a mountain to climb having lost to city in the champion league, they were right in the tie until the 70th minute and now needs least 3goals

I cannot deny that Haaland is one of the best players in the world, for me City has great potential, and it is really due to Haaland, of course without detracting from the work that Pep Guardiola has done, it is a very complete team, too It is somewhat difficult to assimilate that Bayern have lost with such a goal difference, I don't know what happened to them, but that can happen to any team, it is something that cannot be denied, football is like that, and although many do not believe in Bayern , technically they can still pass, we don't know if they will win for the next game, fútbol always surprises.

I strongly believe in Napoli's victory in this second match.
The conditions are still possible but indeed the results of the previous 2 matches against Milan must clearly be taken into consideration.
The good thing about this is that Napoli now has at least some confidence in Osimhen who is 100 per cent ready for this match. At least this could be a more motivational kick for them in the match that will take place at their home. Hopefully Osimhen can change Napoli's previous condition, especially for finishing problems.

At first glance, we see that Pioli often plays a 4-2-3-1 formation, but actually when he plays, his formation changes to 4-3-2-1, where Ismaben is more pressed into a free role, you know. know. you could say AC Milan's position is now number 10, Ismaben, Leao and Diaz are deeper, the defensive midfielders are Tonalli and Krunic with this formation, Milan plays much more flexible.

For Krunic, Krunic actually didn't play too well. He played in leg 1 how many times did he make mistakes luckily Tonalli played well and so did Tomori. Tomori last season was good now he is not consistent but in that game he was good then he played bad. these two players this season have been Milan's weak points, fortunately Napoli don't seem to realize that they are exploring more of the left position filled by Theo. Napoli, if they want to win in leg 2, they must learn from their mistakes in leg 1. I think later in leg 2, the Napoli vs Ac Milan match will go well.

Napoli certainly deserved a much better result, but this is the Champions League, the most difficult competition in the world, where every mistake pays dearly.
The fact is that Napoli played without their best striker, but now they have a very difficult rematch against Milan, and I would say that now Milan has a slightly better chance of reaching the semifinals of the competition.
Benfica disappointed me a lot in the first game against Inter, I expected much more from them.
Of course, there is always a chance in football, but honestly, if Inter in return plays at a high level again, Benfica will have no chance of winning.

I have known from the start that Milan will defeat Napoli because the best striker on whom Napoli depends is injured, which makes the remaining players perform poorly on the field. However, I think Napoli can still win Milan in their second leg because the striker, Victor Osimhen, has recovered from his injury. Although Milan won the first leg 1-0, I think Napoli will give it their all in the second leg.
Since we are discussing the champion league and not another league, I am not surprised that Inter will defeat Benfica. Benfica believes that Inter won't play well because of some of their performances, but I know inter will definitely win because of champion league. Additionally, Inter's striker is in a good position to play well as well.

Just like me, even after the defeat in Serie A, I still think Napoli will win in the Champions League. The defeat in the league maybe part of Napoli's preparation for the UCL or because their position has been secure in the league make Napoli tend to play more relaxed.  The reality is that the defeat continue when the two met again in the CL quarter-finals
I hope Napoli make corrections after this defeat and will play even better in the second leg
The performance of the Napoli team is very good. The previous match was lost to Milan, and the next match expected Napoli to secure victory, but due to some mistakes or lack of strategy, the match ended in a draw.

Chelsea is having a very bad season at the moment, as Chelsea's condition this season is truly beyond expectations. No matter how much they try, they buy several players, spend money, and also attract a new coach who they think is appropriate and can bring Chelsea well, but apparently not easy as that. Chelsea have not been able to raise their performance very well. lucky they passed the UCL to this quarter-final round. But they still lost in the first leg to Real Madrid. Chelsea really need a big overhaul next season so that their name can go up and be strong again both in the Premier League and in the UCL or other leagues.
If the opponent is not Real Madrid maybe there is still hope for Chelsea to prepare for the second leg, so far we know how Real Madrid's strength is playing in the Champions League. So Chelsea's chances of a comeback are much more difficult, especially since they have conceded two goals in the first leg. Realistically Lampard can hold Real Madrid to a draw at Stamford Bridge, but it is difficult to win games by more than 2-0 goals.

Next season Chelsea must make a complete overhaul of the squad by bringing in a tactician who better understands the condition of the players they have. Their current strength is really disappointing, even against Brighton as a mid-table club they lost, let alone facing Real Madrid who are much more experienced in the Champions league.

Thomas Tuchel wasn't sacked because of his poor performance but instead sacked because of the disagreement he was having with the then new owners of Chelsea in regards to the transfer window. If you remember correctly, Todd Boehly was highly interested in Cristiano Ronaldo due to the benefits of having a star player in the squad but Thomas Tuchel had other plans and I think this was were their issue started from. Also if you remember, Todd Boehly take over came with sacking other personals that was in Abramovich administration so Thomas Tuchel had to go. When he was sacked, their where statement form football journalist that the sacking had nothing to do with the bad form the team was on but other factors like what I have said above contributed.

I'm not a big fan of Frank Lampard as a coach but I believe he'll become a great coach someday, he just needs to relax and go back to learning because just been a good player and a club legend doesn't mean that you'll automatically become a great coach. Frank Lampard isn't ready to become a top coach yet, he needs to go back to manage teams in the championshilp as Vincent company has done then promote that team to the premier league and that's how his path to the premier league would had gone and he'll gather enough experience that way to lead teams to success in the premier league.
I think it was basically the owner wanting to have full control over the team. It was more about "this is my team and not abramovic anymore" type of move. He got in, sacked many people in the office, and then sacked Tuchel as well and put someone who would listen to him, even if that meant losing games, because he wanted to have the full control.

And Tuchel had the "audacity" to say no to the owner, owner wanted some stuff and Tuchel just said no to that, Ronaldo was one of the reasons as well. Meaning, Todd just wanted to fire everyone who didn't see him as the full control ownership owner, and this is why they did so badly. Just let the football people decide on what's going to happen and that would be a lot better for the team next season.

You are right, losing their best striker has made Napoli have to pay dearly for the first leg defeat. But Napoli are still lucky because Milan doesn't have many goal advantages where it seems that 1 goal will never be safe for them. I agree Milan have increased their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals, but they haven't deserved to have their fun before making sure of that in the second leg.

The second leg between Napoli vs Milan will certainly be even fiercer, I believe that. Milan seems to realize that playing at home to Napoli is never easy, but they beat Napoli 0-4 recently at the same stadium for a Serie A game. The Champions League is tough, but Milan have good confidence against Napoli.

The aggregate advantage in the first leg has made Milan even more confident to play the second leg later at home to Napoli. But indeed, the absence of Osimhen in several Napoli matches made it very difficult for them to beat Milan.

If we look at Napoli's domestic league match today they benched Kvaratskhelia, surely Spalletti wants to rest him before the match against milan in the second leg starts next week. It seems that in the second leg later we will also be presented with a duet from Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen, which is likely he (Osimhen) has recovered from injury right in that match.

However, in the match against Verona this time in Serie A, Napoli still couldn't score a goal and the score was still 0-0 until the 80th minute. So, is this a sign that Napoli's performance has decreased or maybe Napoli can still get up in the second leg later. Because on paper Napoli still has a chance to beat Milan in the second leg later, but if this bad result continues, then we will get the result of Napoli being eliminated by Milan.

Also regarding Benfica, I personally still predict that Benfica still has a chance to turn things around. But yes, if Benfica has difficulties and bad luck, then this season we will get Italian teams who are not seeded to reach the semifinals like Milan against Inter, maybe.
Benfica team has not scored any goals so far. The opposition is playing very well. Both teams look like great prospects. Because both teams have been attacking each other brilliantly. But which team will secure the victory will be understood in the second half of the game.

IMO, Napoli rely too much on Osimhen as a goal machine for them. when Osimhen was absent due to injury, Napoli found it difficult to win his matches, both in the Domestic league or when they traveled to San Siro, Milan's headquarters in the Champions League competition. In the first leg, I said that Milan would win the game and it did. apart from playing at their own headquarters, Milan benefited from Napoli's position which was not strengthened by their star players. which in the end, Napoli struggled to break into Milan's goal. as a result, Milan won the fight..
In fact Napoli had more chances when Osimhen was around but as you would expect relying too much on Osimhen they neglected options when unforeseen things happened on the pitch. Milan may not be good in Serie A even far enough to chase the top of the table. The return of Osimhen who is ready to strengthen his squad in Leg 2 will invite a fierce match that can even end dramatically. So we will see a high-tension game for these two to show strength against each other.

well, in the second leg later. I am quite optimistic that the fight will take place with high tension. moreover, if it is certain that Osimhem will play in the match. lagging behind 1-0 on aggregate, making Napoli show the best version of the game. that means, Napoli will play it out to overthrow Milan. even so, we can not speculate too far. because, we don't have the latest information about these two teams yet. So, let's just wait for the two teams to meet in the second leg on April 19.

I think Napoli can reverse the result, I even made a post citing the reasons why I believe so: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62092524

Talking about champions league, it is never guaranteed a qualification by winning the first game, how many times haven't we seen historic comebacks?
A 1-0 loss is not a catastrophe. Contrary to what happened to Bayern, that is a tragedy, 3-0 is a lot.

A campaign as good as the one Napoli has been doing this season, in my opinion they deserve the spot, there are 3 Italian teams alive in the Champions League, and Napoli is the leader in the national championship, italian level is good again.

Benfica is also in a very complicated situation, and also once again, my opinion is that they won't be able to beat Inter by 2 or more goals difference, unfortunately.
I was hoping for Benfica to classify, but losing 2-0 playing in Portugal, made it very complicated.

1-0 is not a big problem for napoli. Ac milan will be playing away for the second leg. The good news is osimhen will able to play against ac milan. This will be a good signal for napoli. Osimhen is top scorer in serie a. He will become a nightmare for ac milane in the second leg.

I think that there shall be no need to feel worried about napoli even though napoli was losing its aggregate against ac milan. Since napoli will able to use full squads in the next leg. This can become very good. Ac milan needs to prepare its defensive line caused by napoli will come with full power at its home.
Glad to see that a controversial referee was already deactivated by UEFA caused of his controversial decision in the previous match when napoli was facing ac milan. He will not become a referee again until the end of UCL.

UEFA has been taking such a great decision by deactivating him from the rest of match in UCL. I hope that the second match will be led by far referee.
