The Bayern - City duel has lived up to the billing as we go into the final minutes of the first half
Both teams have come in with intensity and have also been so controlled defensively. Bayern were somewhat unlucky to be undone by a rather brilliant strike from Rodri.
I expect changes in the second half as Bayern have players on the bench who can change the direction of the game.
Both managers are under a lot of pressure to deliver at this stage. Pep has had lots of chances and Tuchel after going out of the German cup need to make it past the quarter final of the UCL.
The first half ended quite well and the advantage was won by Manchester City. For this temporary position, Thomas Tuhcel needs to improve the performance of the attack line which looks a little confused in executing it. Statistically, so far there has been no shot on target launched by Bayern Munich.
Of course, we are expecting some fruit to occur in the second half so that the intensity of the game is more balanced because in the first half, Manchester City really enjoyed their game.
On the other hand, Benfica and Inter are still looking for their own gaps, and in the second half should be more concerned to be able to break the deadlock. The target to win in Leg 1 is very important so that you can have the capital for Leg 2. So far, the performance of the two can be said to be balanced, even more so it looks monotonous for us to watch.
