That is now all in the past, as the team has learned from their mistakes. We would have heard about Graham Potter's dismissal during Abramovich's time in charge as Chelsea owner; it was a one-man decision back then, but it is not in this case. I didn't want Graham to leave the club in this way; he was a fantastic coach before joining the team. Maybe he didn't have what it takes to coach a large team yet, but I wish him the best of luck. Let's see what Frank Lampard has to offer before the season ends.

The Chelsea management led by Todd Boehly was really patient with Graham Potter. He was given all the necessary things he needed such as quality players and freedom to coordinate the team but he failed to prove that he could perform his task effectively. Roman Abramovich wouldn't have endured this poor performance for a long time, Potter would have gone home many months ago. The task on Lampard now is very huge. He needs to boast the confidence of the team and gain the players' respect. I hope his presence will make players such as Mason Mount and other players sign new contracts and remain in Chelsea. Their biggest boast will be if they can beat Real Madrid.

Spitting shit like you heard from me... Frank Lampard can bloody do that, especially earning player's respect, most player's in thr squad are still his signings, Thiago Silva, Mason Mount seem like he's favorite player lol. So they'll keep them heads together. But I don't trust him when it comes to tactics, I can now say against Manchester United, Manchester United will bloody win that game and Marcus Rashford would be on the score shit.

Frank Lampard signature has just brought hopes for Mason Mount as they'll have agreements on his contract extension, that alone I can stand strong on, he's a Chelsea bound player, he goes nowhere but hr needs to up his game. He's been shitty lately, no wonder Potter drops him on the bench.

I'll always back Real Madrid in every Champions League match until they get kicked out of this league. However, in the quarter finals, Real Madrid will perform brilliantly to ensure victory, as Real Madrid managed to defeat Barcelona by a huge margin in the Copa del Rey match. Real Madrid is getting stronger day by day.
I agree that Real Madrid are now back to their best. even Barcelona has lost embarrassingly in the Copa del rey with a score of 4-0. and after seeing that match I am even more convinced that Real Madrid will also win in the quarter-final match against Chelsea. because after all right now Chelsea is not in a good condition. even after they lost Potter and have not found a replacement, it will certainly affect their performance even more. so this time I am also sure that I will bet for Real Madrid.

I can see so many discussion on this particular match which Real Madrid vs Chelsea,  which I know so far would be interesting to watch as Chelsea are looking to make for last year disappointment with their tie with same Real Madrid But I feel the fixture between Manchester City and Bayern Munich will be more interesting. Manchester City and pep guardiola have really tried their best and it would have been nice to actually see them struggle struggle out in the final with one of the big names of the champions league but no positive results have been made towards achieving that goal.  Manchester City again this year will have to play Bayern Munich who are a very good side and I know it will be very hard for them to qualify over Bayern Munich.

They have a very big chance to be in the semifinals and beat Chelsea. Chelsea have now just lost their coach but that is good according to some and it is what the new Chelsea fans have been waiting for. Real madrid just won an important game and also a big match when they beat Barcelon in the Copa del Rey by a landslide score. With that I think it will raise the morale for Real Madrid to do their best in this game.

I don't think that Potter had time in Chelsea. I don't even think he was 6 months in the club and he got so many new signings that it is just impossible to get them all together. Chelsea just wasted a huge amount of cash on superstars but in the end, the question is can they play together? Potter wasn't able to make them play well hopefully Lampard does.
The 2-0 defeat at home by Aston Villa saw the last straw of Potters Chelsea's rein and it ultimately came down to the experience factor Potter's opposite number in his final match, Unai Emery show no sympathy for him having gone through a similar experience at Arsenal and Paris Saint -Germain potters inexperience to managing a success hungry club like Chelsea was always going to be a tall order for a coach like a potter.

I dont think that Potter had time in Chelsea. I dont even think he was 6 months in the club and he got so many new signings that it is just impossible to get them all togheter. Chelsea just wasted huge amount of cash on superstars but in the end question is can they play togheter. Potter wasnt able to make them play well hopefully Lampard does.

It's caused by todd boehly was not even selective in choosing which potential coach to be a new coach for chelsea. todd got so many critics about his decision to sign potter in the past. Potter signed with very big amounts of money at that time and he was giving disappointing results to the chelsea fans.
That's why there must be a big change in the management of club. Todd can't always act like he knows everything about football while the fact that if todd knows nothing. I just try to say what i feel about todd.
he is not even thinking about long-term or at least trying to get some representations before. Todd may able to repeat the same mistake again. I think that todd shall try to give the job to determine the best coach for chelsea to the management of the club.

Todd's intervention in the club was making it even worst than before. This is a fact that can't even be denied. This may affect the result against real madrid soon

Man.City, who are in good form in the premier league, have to face Bayern Munich in the quarter finals and this will be tough for them. No matter how strong they are in domestic competition, they always have trouble facing the European giants. On the other side, inter is likely to make it to the semifinals, while madrid vs chelsea and milan vs napoli will be 50% vs 50% matches.
Milan vs Napoli match which will be 50:50. that's because before Napoli could be superior to Milan, but in the previous meeting Napoli were destroyed 0-4. this makes the fight will take place unpredictable. both are pretty even.
but for Madrid vs Chelsea. I don't think Madrid will suffer. at least in the first leg Madrid will win. and in the second leg they will only defend. although I know, sometimes matches in the Champions League are very difficult to predict.
Madrid has not brought in superstars in several seasons and has focused on young players, while chelsea has always improved the team structure at the start of the season. But madrid under the command of Don Carlo and reinforced by senior players such as benzema, modric and toni kroos have a winning mentality and play very calm down. Meanwhile, Chelsea, even though they have always made fantastic transfers since the Abrahamovic departure incident, have yet to get their best performance.

That's what made me predict madrid vs chelsea 50%:50%

I think the reason Todd didn't expel Potter from the start was because his ego still hoped that Potter could be the answer when Todd took Tuchel out and replaced him with Potter, it wasn't wrong, but it just got worse and worse.
Now that Lampard is here, I don't think it changes anything, especially when you see the opponents you have to face in the Champions League, it's clear this will be very difficult for Chelsea.
Todd was sacking tuchel after todd was officially acquiring chelsea with clearkecapital. that will be ashame if a replacement for tuchel was not working so well. that's why todd just gives more patience waiting for the good results that will be delivered by potter but todd didn't even understand if he was signing an amateur coach without even a big achievement in his career. If i were todd and i would be very embarrassed. Tuchel has fully explained what happened with him and todd.

Todd just dispectpect him and he was sacking him after a short meeting. Potter signed with a bunch of money and this guy delivered zero results for the club. I do know what todd feels right now.

Todd must be thinking wisely before trying to take any decision. todd was making too many interventions in the club. I still like how abramovich was controlling chelsea rather than todd even though abramovich was even more aggressive compared with todd.

Maybe they had to be patiently waiting for good results from Potter. After signing a long contract with the coach, 5 years, they did tried to wait for improvement from Potter to not break a contract with him. It together with high compensation fee for contract break and financial difficulty because of pandemic effects, Chelsea did not want to react quickly and aggressively and at the end they have to pay such expensive compensation.

Quote
Roman Abramovich wouldn't have endured this poor performance for a long time, Potter would have gone home many months ago.
It is too early to compare Boehly and Abramovich but one or two more seasons we can discuss about that. The pandemic has actually changed the world a lot including football and how clubs spend money for players, coaches and related costs like compensation.

Lampard did accepted a very challenging task but I think he belongs to the club and loves it so he agreed to take this challenging job and help his beloved club. Years ago, after he was sacked, Chelsea won their second Champions League and it is perfect if he plays a similar role this time and win a third Champions League for Chelsea.

No one can say Chelsea is a weak team. Chelsea is always a big and strong team although they are difficult playing at their best form lately.
Sure, Chelsea won't reach the current stage/round if they are a weak team. Don't forget that Chelsea is the leader of group E on the group stage. It proves that Chelsea is a strong team.

However, if we compare the squad quality and coach quality, Real Madrid is still better than Chelsea. Real Madrid also has a better experience and achievements in UCL. I never underestimate Chelsea squad, but I'm sure that Real Madrid will have a bigger chance to qualify for the next round. I even predict that Real Madrid will play in the final round.
As a Real Madrid supporter, I also never said that Chelsea was a weak team and should be underestimated in the quarter-finals. They have sacked Graham Potter which means they have made room for other coaches to do well both in the Premier League and in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Of course we are favourites, but Chelsea cannot be underestimated for any reason.

Lampard and Ancelotti are two different coaches. Ancelotti is a coach who has a wealth of experience in the Champions League which will put a lot of advantages over him, so I think we should be the favorites even if Lampard is determined to build a fragile Chelsea.
Am not a Real Madrid fan but am not blind to see that Chelsea cannot in any way win Real Madrid in any of the fixture, my reason been, the club has already been shattered Graham Potter,  you can imagine Chelsea, a team filled with so many great players but they keep finding it difficult to actually secure wins in their games while Madrid on the other hand are the Godfathers of the champions league,  I just hope at least they should just draw one of the two fixtures to avoid any disgraceful defeat.

these are two different facts for Chelsea this season because Chelsea performed quite well in the Champions league but in the Epl they were unable to compete at the top of the standings because of the defeat after defeat they received. Chelsea will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. Now, this is where we will see Chelsea strength. We will see how strong they are this season after the opponent that was met in the draw was Real Madrid.

I also agree with your point where the Real Madrid vs Chelsea match is more likely that Real Madrid will come out victorious and qualify for the semifinals. The depth of Real Madrid squad is better than Chelsea this season and even Benzema quality cannot be doubted as a really good sticker on Real Madrid front lines.
I wouldn't like to be Centimental, Chelsea this season has performed badly despite its position in the champions league, their performance was far below expectations.  Difficult win throughout the group stage, very unlike usual.
I will not say chelsea have given up on winning a title this season,  but I'm afraid that the club bears very little hope of making it through the semi final stage. I say this mostly because I don't see chelsea defeating the rest of the remnant giant teams left In the UCL. If anyone should rate by performance, All are far better than them.

The appointment of Frank Lampard shows that the new Chelsea administration aren’t solid in terms of handling a professional football team. It’s been down heel for Chelsea since the present owners took over.

My biggest problem with them was the move to saw to the sacking of Tuchel. I think he is a solid coach and chelae was in a haste to sack him and employe Graham potter who hasn’t has hood experience handling a big team.

Seeing how Real Madrid won over Barca in the Copa del Rey even though they are quite doubtful to be able to do this, will make Real Madrid's confidence even higher and Chelsea, who are the opponents, will find it difficult to withstand the onslaught Madrid in the first leg, my prediction will be a match where Chelsea will concede quite a lot of goals from Madrid without them being able to reply to any of it.
Chelsea is a club with quite a lot of expensive players in the transfer market but they don't have good coordination with each other, that's why any team always has a chance to beat them as well as Madrid.
Benzema will be very comfortable scoring in this first leg and a new record for him will be possible.
Chelsea will struggle against Madrid. even the results of the last 3 matches of Chelsea are also not good. Chelsea's last 3 matches without a win. if Chelsea can hold Madrid to a draw in the first leg, it is a miracle that no one can predict.
it is not impossible that Chelsea can play well later. but their team's current condition is not good to face a team as strong as Madrid. maybe Madrid will indeed get a lot of goals, Benzema could be a beast again.

I disagree agree with you on this,  Chelsea will be motivated to play with anger after Finding it difficult to get to the top4 in the EPL, and with the Champions League as their only hope to play in the Champions League they will shock Real Madrid and looking at their history you can see that Chelsea have a good record against Real Madrid except for last season that Real Madrid humiliated them in the knock out stage.

Chelsea will be eyeing to get a win in the first leg clash against Real Madrid regardless of their poor performance when it comes to the Champions League Chelsea can not lose easily to any team not even to Real Madrid whom they know has more chances of beating them if they don't play very well.
Barcelona had no response and given their many injuries, their. The bench wasn't going to prove the tools for a miraculous comeback, but Madrid fans wanted more and the passage to the final they wanted blood, they want a big victory the kind of which Los Blanco had rarely achieved over the past years, in fact, how long had it been since Madrid had beaten Barcelona by four. It was a big night for ancelotti the Italian had received so much criticism in recent weeks that he had to put up all the best tactics to see he wins the match real Madrid pulled off a comeback for ages and have an excellent chance to win the Copa del ray.

If Chelsea is really a weak team, they shouldn't have made it to the quarter-finals. I know that Madrid are the favourites, but not all the favorites can win all the games and win the title. I'm not going to compare the achievements of each team, but their performances on the pitch are valid evidence even if everyone has assumptions and tries to argue in other ways.
No one can say Chelsea is a weak team. Chelsea is always a big and strong team although they are difficult playing at their best form lately.

I'm talking about some hardliners who have ignored Chelsea's chances in the Champions League, they even optimistically said Chelsea would really fail in the Champions League before playing. Basically that's not true because both teams have the same chance to qualify for the semifinals even though Real Madrid are the favourites. I know about that, but those are some of their assumptions.

As you said, I agree. Ancelotti is a coach who has experience and has had a fantastic run in the Champions League mainly because he has won several titles. Meanwhile, Chelsea and a number of their new players are struggling to find their identity again after being slumped this season. The Champions League is difficult, so we can't be sure which team will win before playing.

Chelsea will be eyeing to get a win in the first leg clash against Real Madrid regardless of their poor performance when it comes to Champions League Chelsea can not lose easily to any team not even to Real Madrid whom they know has more chances of beating them if they don't play very well .

I don't think it's will be very hard for Chelsea to beat Madrid. Chelsea's current position is not very good, the change of the coach will greatly affect the game. Chelsea players must adapt to the new coach's style, and sometimes this is not necessarily going well. Indeed, motivation can beat everything, but Madrid players also has motivation to add their collection of UCL trophies even though they have become king of UCL with the most winners.

They will have a new coach in their team and Lampard is familiar with the teams he doesn't need much time to use his tactics on Chslea because Chelsea is a team he was playing there for years and he is a famous person there, But I think Lampard is not experienced enough to face with Real Madrid, especially after the recent performance we saw from Real Madrid against Barcelona.
I don't think Real Madrid will win Chelsea in the coming match, because Chelsea sacked Graham potter, and Frank Lampard is their new coach now,Frank Lampard was one time manager at Chelsea, they sacked him because of unqaulification and bad results, Frank Lampard will realized from his past mistakes and do well this time, you Frank Lampard is familiar to the team Chelsea, Frank Lampard played for Chelsea for years, Chelsea will take the victory against Real Madrid, Chelsea don't play in champions league, and Frank Lampard will surprise people this time.Frank Lampard is a builder and he has helped Chelsea once when we had financial issue that we couldn't sign players in the transfer window, Frank Lampard worked with the academy to promote some players that are now enjoying first team football today.Chelsea has a good record in the champions league and would like to maintain that record, will not be easy for Real Madrid to win. Chelsea's chances of finishing in the top four of the league have vanished, and this may be the only trophy they fight for this season.Chelsea will make their fans proud.
As a Chelsea fan I would love the club to not just win the quarter final tie with against Real Madrid but to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season as a way of coming out from supposed poor campaign with a big trophy but wishes are totally different from realities and realistically speaking, Real Madrid stands a better chance to qualify to the semi-finals than Chelsea. Madrid played against Barcelona yesterday in the Copa Del Rey competition and delivered a performance that can only come from the European Champions.
Chelsea might have appointed and interim manager in the person of Frank Lampard but I don't think he possess the the tactical ability to beat Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid.

For Chelsea this can be a dream to beat Real Madrid in this situation both teams, currently, we know Real Madrid is in a good situation after they won the El Clasico and had a perfect performance there against Barcelona while they had players like Benzema shining at this match, while Chslea just started working with Lampard and comparing to Ancelotti he doesn't have enough experience to win this game.
