As someone who understands the game quite well, I am not the kind of guy who says "the team that won was the better team as winning is the only thing that counts". I don't know if you ever managed a team or a sportsman, but performance does matter. Of course in knockout games the result ultimately counts, but someone who understands the game looks at how a team played and then also understands whether a win was deserved or not. We would probably not be discussing anything here if De Bruyne used the chances he had towards the end of the game.

I am not sure, but maybe you are the kind of fan who likes to see a team win that got one shot the whole game while the other team played high qualitay football, but had one of those days where they couldn't hit the back of the net. Real Madrid defended world class, I'll say that. But that doesn't change the fact that when I hear the name Real Madrid, I am associating a different type of football with it. Not parking the bus and praying for 95 minutes.
So that is the unwritten law of football if you don't score and don't take profit from your chances then you are going to concede or get eliminated like in the case of Manchester City, however I don't underestimate a master like Ancelotti,I think he prepared the game that way as the only way that he saw as a chance to qualify,he needed to get to the penalties and hope for the best,it just happen to get his way,so the architect of Real qualification for me is their coach. For Manchester City they had a lot of chances which could not convert and as I said if you don't convert you will concede. Now Real Madrid has high chances to qualify further and even a big chance to be crowned Champions once again and to further increase their number of titles as the team who has won it more than any other team.

It's very difficult to beat Real Madrid when they are already in the final, I mean their final record says it all well. It is almost certain that Real Madrid can always win the Champions League title every time they are in the final, so it is up to whoever will be their opponent then Madrid is the favorite.

But before that, Real Madrid must ensure victory by beating Bayern Munich. Of course, it won't be an easy match because Bayern Munich is a team that can really thwart Real Madrid's plans. I don't know whether there will be a repeat of the 2019-2020 season final between PSG and Bayern Munich, but if that happens then Real Madrid will really have to accept defeat in the semi-finals.

I won't say the semi-final is an easy one but PSG are favourites. Underrating Dortmund would be a mistake. Nobody believed they would make it this far but here they are here. We know how football can be, see how unlucky Barcelona was, that can happen to anybody. All I can say is that PSG are favourites in this tie but it's not an easy draw for them.
Luis Enrique will prepared for what's coming because I'm pretty sure and confident of Edin Terzic throwing everything he got, every coach wants the UCL title. PSG will encounter challenges because it's never going to be easy end. Borrusia Dortmund is also an elite team and we shouldn't underestimate their capacity in the UEFA Champions League this season. Every elite team that have made it to this very stage deserves accolades because they've strives for best results.
Every club will have to fight for their qualifications into the finals, and whoever is stronger than the other will be the club to reach the finals. I still feel that Real Madrid is still the strongest amongst the rest and have the higher chance of winning the league. Bayern Munich is trying and they are also a big club, and they would not want to be defeated by their opponents, but do they have the strength to do that.

Real Madrid is always not afraid of any club no matter how strong that the club is, because they have the quality of players that is needed to win any match. Ancelotti is also an experience coach that was able to make something and of nothing this season, when the club lost Benzema. He was able to bring in Bellingham and converted some players to play some role to enable them not lack a scorer. It would not as easy for any of these two clubs to win on that day.

I agree that this is never going to be easy for Real Madrid, not at all. Real Madrid was struggling very hard against Manchester City and they scored two lucky goals in the first leg. No need to talk about the huge chance that De Bruyne left on the table in the second leg a few minutes before the game went into overtime. Bayern Munich has shown a tactical masterpiece in the second game and was strong in the first game, too.

Your analysis is a one sided analysis, if you watch Real Madrid and Manchester City match, you will understand that the way that match went is the only way they can win Manchester City, never in history has Real Madrid win Manchester City in Etihad but they did for the first time winning the Quarter Final. It's the only way, football is not all about statistics all the time, did you win the match or no, that's what matters in these kind of situation and Real Madrid chose that over any other thing in the game.

Quote
I believe this is going to be a 50:50 game and PSG might have the upper hand against Dortmund, but I did not expect Dortmund to eliminate Atletico Madrid like that. So there is still room for surprises and it's especially the same in the semifinals. Nothing is set in stone and while Real Madrid has beaten Manchester City now, I think the game against Bayern Munich will be no easier.

Bundesliga has some tricks moves which they use to win matches, Bayern Munich knows how to do that very well on Real Madrid but seeing what they played against Arsenal, they might not be that good as they were before Tuchel came an toom over. The team I will like Real Madrid to meet in the final is PSG, I want to make PSG loose that match badly so Mbape can sign that contract with fast speed with Real Madrid without any further delays.

PSG were not exactly favorites when playing against Barcelona and also, in the second leg Barcelona had managed to score an early goal and make the aggregate 4-2. But unfortunately, Araujo got a red card in the 29th minute and because of the red card and Barcelona only playing with 10 players, then PSG was eventually able to turn things around. With that factor, then I think that PSG just got lucky because of course, if Barcelona still played with 11 players and did not get a red card, then I am sure PSG would not be able to turn things around.

Again, PSG's luck continues in the semifinal match later, because PSG only meets Dortmund, because Dortmund at least a team that is really not predicted to qualify for the semifinal match. That way, this season or at this moment PSG really got lucky, so PSG has a great chance to qualify for the final match but if I consider about PSG's performance this season, I believe PSG will still fail.

Pep Guardiola said it the other day and Johan Cruyff also stated that, " In Football, we having nothing like Luck "..... I won't say Paris Saint Germans got lucky that's night, not even the goals scored came by mistake or controversial goals.
I feel like the red card is no excuse because, in the history of the Champions League Competition, we have also seen a club like Chelsea in the past winning with one man down in the game.

Do you say all these because you're a Catalian fan? Wipe off your tears and stop lamenting. It is what it is right now.

Still do not think Araujo is a good defender, the clubs decision to sell him makes sense, he has never been so solid for them so full of pressure and errors. Nothing like luck big man, Atletico Madrid should have done better to be at this point if it was within them powers but Borrussia Dortmund fought for this. Yet again we meet two clubs from the Group of Hell ( Group H )

Paris Saint Germans are my favorites to move to the finals, much improvement have been seen since the group stage, so I'm sure Luis Enrique and hus lads would be hungry while playing this game.
Borrussia Dortmund did surprise me against Atletico Madrid, I was also predicting another Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid finals up in my head but they got dumped out.
Of course, no one doubts that PSG will advance to the final. They played very well even though they were not favourites. Many said they were lucky because Araujo got a red card early in the match but I think a match is a match. Winning is still winning and losing is still losing. It was Araujo's own silly mistake.
I'm still not sure if Atletico is playing in the final. That's your other prediction but at the moment Atletico are not playing well enough in the league. Their performance is not good overall. If Atletico played in the final I think Real Madrid fans would have been able to celebrate the title earlier.

Paris St Germaine might be favourites, but I think Borussia Dortmund also have a chance, and I honestly feel like the winner of this tie will lift the Champions League trophy. This season is a season of the underdogs, even Real Madrid with all their stars and in form players might not find Bayern Munich an easy task, Bayern will be hoping to have their revenge on Real Madrid considering how Madrid have knocked them out in previous UCL competitions or history might jus repeat itself. I'm so hoping and waiting for this semi-final's upset, Champions League always delivers the best.
There is no way this current Bayern Squad will be able to knock out Real Madrid, and the reason Bayern was able to eliminate Arsenal  is because Arsenal had that inferiority complex in them, and the fear of the name Bayern made them make silly mistakes in the first leg.Saliba and Gabriel made the mistake that made Bayern get the goals they got in that game, and even when Saka had the chance of scoring the last minute goal,he missed it,showing that they are still inexperienced in the champions league.
And for Dortmund vs PSG,u think I'm giving it to Dortmund,PSG does not have what it takes to win that game.

There is no team to be underestimated in the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, I think all the teams that have made it to the semi-finals now are certainly the best teams that can beat anyone, for now the two German teams actually surprised us because indeed from the round of 16 they were doubtful to qualify even to the quarter-finals because of their poor performance in the league,  But in fact we all see how they are able to beat strong teams to reach the semi-finals now, PSG's performance and quality are of course no longer in doubt because they are filled with many great star players, but Dortmund is not an easy team to beat because indeed their strong mentality and also resistant to pressure in the competition will certainly make it difficult for PSG.

Real Madrid is of course a strong candidate to be able to get the Champions League trophy this season, but whether they will underestimate Munich, of course not, as you said, so far Bayern Munich is also one of the experienced teams in the Champions League, just like Madrid of course Munich also has a strong mentality to compete for the Champions League trophy,  In addition, the pressure and hope of winning the only trophy left for them at the moment will of course be a big motivation for Bayern Munich to beat Madrid in the semi-finals, so I think the two semi-final games will be difficult for us to predict and maybe we will also see surprises that happen.

Im still thinking PSG chances are really high, for a few things which I'm gonna write below.

First of all they have a super coach like Luis Enrique.
Having a super coach doesn't mean a team can play well because they can have a super coach and his coaching styles may not align with the players so in that case the team may not make progress. When PSG played against Barcelona in their returning leg, I saw players who were devoted to making sure that they take the team to the next stages of the champions league because at first when the champions league started, PSG were receiving a lot of criticism due to their poor performance but after their match with AC Milan in the group stage matches, they picked form and ever since then, they've been performing better.
PSG has won french laegue and it has entered into the semi final of UCL, what's wrong by having a professional coach in the club? enrique has showed that how he has been successfully regenerating the club. It's also matter of time till mbappe is gonna leave from the club too.
Enriques was a good coach and PSG has proven that having a good coach gave so many benefits to the club. I remind you that if coach has a very important role in building the club.
Trust the process. This is what people forgot it these days. Even the good coach is obviously need time to develop its players.

I will say that even if Bayern Munich have all their first eleven players on the field and all their substitutes fit, there is nothing that they will play to win Real Madrid. This is because Real Madrid is stronger than them currently, and Real Madrid have the attacking force it takes to destroy any club defense.

Real Madrid does not have home or away, as they can win anywhere that they are playing the game. Another thing is that whatever made Real Madrid to reach the semifinals Bayern is a small challenge for them to get rid of.
Real Madrid, which has successfully eliminated Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, deserves to be said to be strong and is also quite likely to eliminate Bayern Munich again in the semifinals of the Champions League this season. Because Real Madrid can certainly play even more extraordinary when it is close to the final and this will definitely be quite visible when Real Madrid faces Bayern Munich in the semifinals this time. Whether it's in the first leg or the second leg because the semifinal match is a super important match for any team so more extraordinary things will definitely happen.

Looking at what happened in the group stage, PSG indeed has the opportunity to be able to do the same thing, but of course everything will be different because if you look at it as a whole, the Dortmund team has also improved in performance so that the semifinal match between Dortmund and PSG will still be fierce and will definitely different from what happened in the group stage.

In the Champions League semifinals, all the teams that are in this round are certainly the best teams among the other teams that have been eliminated and the teams that are in the semifinals will of course prepare a better performance to be able to qualify for the final.
In my opinion, in terms of percentages, PSG and Dortmund are not much different, this will be very fierce.

Paris St. German's win over Barcelona in their last Champions League game brought in a new motivational spirit into the team, and which I believe that spirited effort will be introduced in their game between Borussia Dortmund, Definitely, it isn't going to be easy game for them but what I saw them do in the second half of that game was something interesting, Therefore, to achieve total victory, they need to put in extra effort and strength in the game because their opponent Dortmund isn't an easy side to face, especially when they play at home.

Even before the both games against Barcelona, They was seen as favorites in that game honestly, that first leg win Barcelona had gave them a chance but they couldn't impress during the second leg.
They'd want to put blames on Araujo, Yeah! I agree, he should be blamed in a way but still on, they should have been used to this red card and playing with one man down.

Paris Saint Germans are my favorites to move to the finals, much improvement have been seen since the group stage, so I'm sure Luis Enrique and hus lads would be hungry while playing this game.

That's right, even though PSG is strong, they have to remain wary of Dortmund. We know the difference between the two teams is not that big and here Dortmudn has something that PSG doesn't have. It is clear that the mentality of the Dortmund players is stronger because they managed to reach the semifinals against a strong regular team. On the other hand, PSG also had a similar match, but when they face Barcelona, I think they will still get rid of Barcelona even if they lose in the first leg.
PSG are stronger but on paper and desk only. On field, practically months ago, Dortmund shown that they are stronger than PSG with two matches, one win, one draw. Something changed in both clubs recent months but two matches previously in this season, are actually good confident support for Dortmund in semi finals.

They will not feel they are weaker than PSG and will start two semi final matches with high confidence about themselves and chance to beat the giant from Ligue 1.

Quote
Maybe it would be better for PSG to prepare mentally and have a better strategy because Dortmund is not like Barcelona, which from the start of the season was doubtful that they would be eliminated.
Dortmund probably have better team working ability that is important in knock out matches. Strong cooperation of players will help their squad very united and become stronger, harder to be beaten. Team working will be biggest strength of Dortmund in semi finals as they can not compare with PSG about star players.

Third they play an easy semifinal against Dortmund, and the final is only ONE game where everything can pass.

Looking back at when the results of Leg 1 were finished where PSG had a bad result 2-3 from Barcelona and Dormund lost 1-2 to ATM. Most people including me, think Dormund and PSG will be eliminated. But after Leg 2 things turned around until PSG and Dortmund qualified for the semi finals. So 2 underdog teams are now facing each other to compete for power and I find it difficult to determine the bet. Honestly, I see that PSG under Luiz Enrique's coaching is starting to get better than last season, it looks more even in every line, especially the attack line where Mbappe places himself in a central position which is not his position. Then Dembele and Asensio act as balancers so they can focus more on accompanying the striker. This is Enrique strategy that we don't pay attention to when he has an opponent who is at a loss because the red card creates an opening and in manages to turn things around.

Facing Dortmund is actually a challenge because the PSG team will be guests in the 1st leg, as usual during the last 5 UCL matches at home Dortmund have never lost. PSG is challenged to conquer that, in my opinion it will not be easy to come out as winners.

Of course Real Madrid are seen as the major favorites for the UCL especially after they’ve been able to defeat fellow heavyweight Man City in the quarterfinals. Many now have no option than to queue behind and throw in major support for Real Madrid to end the season with their 15th UCL trophy.

This team is the major holder of this trophy and as such they’re well experienced in winning this trophy as compared to all other four teams and you can be so sure of them being able to win than your degree of being sure about other teams. Against Bayern Munich, I think Real Madrid still have the advantage and a major advantage for them will now be the injured players for Bayern Munich.

In 2014, Bayern Munich met with the Real Madrid at the Semi-finals of the Champions league for a contest like this and during that time, lost their game to Real Madrid with Real Madrid winning a goal over Bayern at their first leg in Madrid's home and scored a whooping 4 goals over none at the second leg in the Futball Arena Muchen stadium at the home of Bayern Munich. Then, Pep Guardiola was the manager of the Bayern Munich with the composition of star players like Mandzukich, Robben, Ribery,  Muller, Boateng and Alaba and the goalkeeper, Neuer was at his best too but they were beaten home by the Madrid with a 5-0 aggregates.

In 2018, Bayern also faced Madrid in another semifinals and lost again to the Madrid after the teams ended at a 4:3 lost against Bayern Munich in the second leg with Madrid winning over Bayern at Bayern's home in a goal difference.

In 2017, it was a quarterfinal fixtures and Bayern also lost to Madrid in a 6-3 aggregates with Madrid winning at both home and away.

Today, it's Tuchel's over Ancelotti and the first leg will be at Bayern's home, when Bayern is also faced with injuries right now. The chances of Bayern winning the first leg at this point  following the history of both teams, is very slim.

It is natural that currently many parties are favoring Real Madrid to win the UCL. The reason is, in the quarter-finals Real Madrid was able to beat Manchester City, who won the UCL last season. Because of this, Real Madrid received a lot of support compared to the other 4 teams that qualified for the semifinals. Then in this semifinal, I think Real Madrid will have a slight advantage over Bayern Munich in the first leg. Even though the first leg of the semifinals will be held at Bayern Munich's headquarters and this will of course provide a bigger advantage for Bayern Munich. However, the thing that Real Madrid benefited from in this first leg was because many Bayern Munich players were injured. Because currently, as far as I know, 7 Bayern Munich players are injured. And 2 of them are players who play on the right wing (Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry).

So ahead of the match against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich has weaknesses in several lines and the worst is on the right wing. The reason is, two right wingers belonging to Bayern Munich are injured. And this will certainly benefit Real Madrid a little. So in this first leg, even though the match was held at Bayern Munich's headquarters, I personally prefer Real Madrid to Bayern Munich. And in the second leg, Real Madrid will definitely appear superior because they will be playing at home. So if you look at the current situation, it is very likely that Real Madrid will win over Bayern Munich in two legs at once.

Currently Bayern have about 7 of its main starters out on injury and with that number, you can already imagine Real dominating in the first leg at the Alianz Arena. If they will dominate that much ij the first leg which will be away from home, how much more will they do when they play the return leg in front of their fans. So you now understand why Real Madrid will probably be the winners. Psg are going to be a better opposition in the finals though but I don’t see them being able to stop Real Madrid at all.
