I would like to call Arsenal a win or draw the result in the first leg. The worst scenario is Arsenal to lose at home game.

Of course Arsenal must be able to take advantage of the status as a host in the 1st leg. At the moment, the statistics of the two teams are not much different, they are equally strong. I think there will be a difficult game. Even if you remember in the last 16 of UCL in 2016/2017 Arsenal lost by a margin of 4 goals at home or in Germany. After that, it seems that they haven't competed for a long time. Arsenal are in good condition, they still continue to compete as potential EPL champions. As for Munich, it seems they have been focused on the UCL cup. So they will work hard to win in the 1st or 2nd leg. They have the provisions to do that.
With the current Arsenal form and Bayern Munich form, Arsenal should be able to win Bayern Munich both home and away, but I don't know why it will be difficult for Arsenal to achieve such result. Bayern Munich are currently weak compared to other past seasons, which should be an advantage on Arsenal that is super hot to win them.

However, Arsenal can disappoint their fans and mess their opportunity of qualifying to the semifinals by allowing unstable Bayern Munich to drag victory with them. I don't see anything that Bayern Munich is playing anymore, after the lost 3-2 to an average club that they were leading 2-0 in the first half. Arsenal need to use their opportunity wisely.
You are right that there should be no reason for Arsenal not to be able to win this match when Bayern Munich's condition is unstable, Arsenal should be able to take advantage of this opportunity to beat Bayern Munich and advance to the semifinals. Arsenal must remember that their previous meeting resulted in Arsenal being eliminated in the UCL and Arsenal having to avenge that defeat by beating Bayern Munich. The opportunity will not come twice for Arsenal because they have been beaten by Bayern Munich for years and they finally meet again.

So, on this occasion, Arsenal is in very good condition, they are competing with the top teams in the title race, which means that Arsenal is very strong this season and they have prepared for Arsenal's meeting in the big match against Munich. If Arsenal is able to beat Munich, it will be a very proud achievement. for the English team because Arsenal and Man City are the favorite teams in the UCL.

Haaland hasn’t been scoring many goals this season compared to last season, but I can still tell you that Haaland is a dangerous player, which we shouldn’t underestimate in any match. What I noticed is that Haaland is not always given much opportunity by the opposite teams, sometimes you will see two or more players attacking Haaland alone. How do you expect him to perform well in most matches? But I will tell you that Haaland is still a dangerous player, and Real Madrid’s defenders shouldn’t underestimate Haaland in the match.
Nobody is underestimating Haaland, you don't expect defenders to give him a less defensive attack in a given match, knowing fully well how dangerous he can be when attacked less.

Last season Haaland won the highest goal scorers in the Premier League. You know why? Because defenders were given less defensive marking and secondly they don't know how Pep Guardiola statics of fixturing Haaland in a field of play. Now, that almost all the clubs know Haaland's position and statistics of play in a match, Haaland is finding it difficult to score goals because of how the defenders are all over him to be marking him always.

I mean Real managed to beat City before as well, and last year City managed to beat Madrid, they are both good teams and could beat each other, so it doesn't feel like that would be such a big bore, I think that seems to be the case, I feel like that seems like the most important part. I feel like the best thing about the current situation is that you could possibly make it work one way or another and should not be afraid of just going for the win.

Any team that plays too defensive against the other, would be only calling for a loss, so both teams should play as attacking as possible without fear. City could play a little bit more defensive and I fear that they could lose because of that, possession is great and all, but they need to score.
these two teams are truly extraordinary because they have been favorites since the UCL season started and in my opinion there is no worry for Ancelotti to face the challenges that Man City will give because Man City this season is different from last season which looked really very strong, even Real Madrid lost their mentality a little last season seeing Man City very fierce performance.
this season has become a comparison that the strong performance has turned into a little weak and I think Man City has the same strength of performance.
so whatever Ancelotti will face, he already knows what he will do because I am sure that in the second leg, Man City will be stronger, but in the first leg, Madrid will get a bigger score.
I don't doubt Man City but I always hope that Real Madrid can take revenge for last season's defeat.

Never once have I seen these two teams play defensively against each other and what is more important is that both teams want to return goals in each meeting. I would not be surprised if in the end this will be a retest match to confirm who is the true king of Europe and despite Real Madrid's enormous history, they should not feel arrogant about this achievement.

Manchester City could dominate the Champions League for seasons, it could eliminate Real Madrid and that could change public sentiment, making Real Madrid's nickname of king of Europe slowly disappear. We know that the most important thing in this competition is mentality and also consistency that continues to be cultivated so that we can pass each phase convincingly. The challenge will be heavy on the shoulders of Manchester City and Real Madrid and everyone can't wait to see who will be the winner.

That's right, this year's season has changed. Bayern Munich is no longer a team that makes other opponents afraid. They are the ones who have to be afraid of the current Arsenal. In the past, Arsenal was Bayern Munich's favorite prey in the Champions League. Bayern Munich often had good results every time they met the Gunners. However, everything changed at this reunion.

With poor domestic league performance, Bayern Munich will almost lose the 2023/24 Bundesliga season to Leverkusen because the gap between the two teams has reached 16 points. Bayern should be cautious when facing Arsenal. Coach Mikel Arteta and his team have had impressive performances recently, and they are the best attackers and defenses in the Premier League. Therefore, it would not be surprising if Arsenal extended their impressive streak with a victory over Bayern.
It's true that this season Arsenal are the ones their opponents should be afraid of. Because if we follow Arsenal's performance this season, we will agree that Arsenal's current performance is on par with Man City. If other teams are afraid when facing Man City then they should also be afraid when facing Arsenal. But Bayern is a strong team. And I think Bayern's confidence in the UCL is still very high. Even though in the Bundesliga it seems like they have given up the title this season to Leverkusen, I believe Bayern has become more focused on the UCL. because they know that this is the only thing they can maximize this season, namely trying to win a title in the UCL.

Arsenal has a real shot here against Bayern Munich. This ain't your typical matchup, and history doesn't mean a damn thing in a game like this. Arsenal is a different animal right now. They're hungry, pushing for that Premier League title, and that kind of drive carries over to nights like this. Bayern, on the other hand... they look off. They're not the same team that's been crushing the Champions League for years. This is a chance for Arsenal, plain and simple

I'm not saying it's gonna be easy. Bayern's still Bayern, and they've got world-class players who can turn on the magic at any moment. But Arsenal needs to focus on what they do well: control the midfield, play fast, capitalize on Munich's shaky defense. If they stay disciplined, take their chances, and believe in themselves... they can flip the script. It's about time they showed Europe what they're really made of

I watched a video [1] earlier showing Manchester City players were engaging in tactical drills of new defending strategies. This seems to be part of their preparation for their upcoming clash against Real Madrid after tomorrow for UCL QUARTER-FINALS. I should say that Pep Guardiola consistent impresses me with his innovative tactics and the continual improvements in football field as no other coach is doing before. Personally, I have never seen a coach as committed and dedicated this much, the opposite where some coaches are using the same tactics for years. Without Pep, the Ciry wouldn't reach this level of competition . He created many players and always in his pursuit to win the maximum titles and breaking records with Manchester City.

Real Madrid is not a weak opponent in the other hand but they are going for a difficult challenge, facing such strong defense. The only choice to boost their chances if they want to reach semifinals, Real Madrid must secure a large victory in the home match at Bernabéu before playing at the Etihad Stadium where it’s even more difficult for them. At first I was considering to set a bet on Real Madrid, But now Iam hesitant after reviewing the news and seeing such videos of how the preparation is going, I don’t think Ancelotti is doing the same job when it comes to training and giving good tactics for Real Madrid.

Well said. But I will like you to know that the Premier League Competition and the UEFA Champion's League Competition are two different Competitions.
Yeah, I do support gunner's in the Premier League but this is Bayern Munich and they have no other good Competition to involve in anymore.
They're or they'd be approaching Arsenal with a lot of pressure and heat same way they di against Lazio. I will not conclude not take a side but you still have to remember that Arsenal are not good when it also comes to European Competitions.

Matches are earned on the pitch, we will definitely see how it goes come mid-week.
Anyways, Thomas Tuchel and his Bayern Munich side's disappointed in themselves. Harry Kane has also got to be unlucky, whoever tags him the bad luck and says he is the reason for Bayern Munich decline must be raving mad.

Bayern Munich is increasingly showing poor performance, giving Arsenal an opportunity to take the lead first. Bayern Munich is far from its ideal performance anymore, the lack of compatibility between the coach and the tactics used means that the Bayern Munich players cannot be themselves on the field. Arsenal really benefits and I'm sure Arteta will prepare a surprise in the first leg. It should be remembered that there is no guarantee that Bayern Munich can do something similar in the past, and people who still use that as a benchmark must be prepared to accept the bitter reality. In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have to admit that this season they have been very bad and Leverkusen only needs to win 1 more game to ensure the trophy. Many people now think that Bayern Munich will focus on the UCL, but with conditions like this, they are increasingly doubting whether they are really ready.

I have seen this photo on Twitter and I wanted to share.  Grin  It compares the teams with at least 6 CL titles to the ones that have less number of titles. Maybe you will say "Why does it have to be 6?" and I questioned the same thing also. I guess it is just some meme to smile at.

We see some really big teams on the left side of the wall which can actually achieve it that many times. There is only 1 left for Barcelona and Manchester City have a big potential to win 5 more times unless Guardiola leaves for now.

It is really difficult for Barcelona to get that one though while they aren't improving much.  Tongue

Tough is understatement because both teams have history and they're both keen on facing each other. I think the weaknesses of Bayern Munich is pointed out in the open and Arsenal are formidable this season, Mikel Arteta have watch and observed the strength and weaknesses of the Bavarians while he looks forward to tackle down the Bundesliga giant while Thomas Tuchel already have experience when it comes to English teams, he just known how to deal with them but he should remember that alot have changed, Arsenal is not the same way he feels it is.

Even the mood of the team plays a role, and when the coach doesn't have enough authority, it can complicate things even more. I like Bayern better as a team, but I understand that Arsenal are doing better now, I think the first match can tell us a lot about this confrontation. If Arsenal manage to play in attack as they have done in most of the last successful games, then for Bayern everything can be over very quickly, if Arteta starts doing something like he did with City, then Bayern will have a chance.

I think Xabi Alonso should be allowed to choose the kind of players he wants in his squad and shouldn't be pressured into recruiting big players just because he would be playing in the champions league come next season. He has already proven himself as a good coach by doing what he has done this season with the Leverkusen side, so I don't think anyone is doubting his technical abilities. Xabi Alonso has agreed to continue with Bayern Leverkusen next season despite having several clubs like real madrid, Liverpool and other European elite club wanting to employ him come next season, without any oarta of doubt. I think Bayern Leverkusen are gonna do well in both domestic and European completion as long as they have their coach with them next season.
The UCL heavyweights are about meeting in less than a week and now we’ve got to analyze best who’ll be able to get maximum victories in this match. Manchester City have sincerely dropped on performance level as they’ve failed some rigorous tests in the league and most recent being the draw against Arsenal. You can see how the team struggled to try and get a goal past Arsenal but it was all to no avail.

In the match against Real Madrid, yes we know how better shaped and placed Real Madrid are for this fixture and as such I term them as the favorites. Yes Real Madrid have what it takes this time to be able to defeat this City side. It’s very simple try to mark out Foden and get some players to alway hit dirty on Rodri and I think this City side will be feeble and weak.

Yes, you can say Arsenal looking better as compared to last season which means Real too will sure look better because City didn’t make much changes and also their recent injury woes on their defense line will be a big and major worry for the players when they come for this fixture. Pep will have to get the right tactics quickly before this match else he’ll sure be eliminated from this competition.

Carlo Ancelotti too has a vast of experience in the UCL and I know he wouldn’t want a repetition of last season’s errors and as such I trust him not to try out some crazy tactics but rather get the best tactics to nail this match already. I have high hopes on Real Madrid being able to cruise past this City side and it’s sure going to happen.
Manchester city have really dropped down in the form that saw them win the treble last season, but alot of players that was part of that Manchester city team are no longer at the club, notably Ikay Gundogan the German captained the side to the treble of last season this season he is at Barcelona, and the player that was brought in to replace him Kovacic has not really been a regular in the city team, Erling Halaand also dropped in form , I see alot of tired legs in this city team maybe they have played their very best for so long,

But here comes a real Madrid team that has been exceptional all season, Madrid haven't lost three games this season in all competitions, with the presence of Jude Bellingham behind the strikers, is an acceptional additional to real Madrid this season, I think at the Etihad stadium Madrid will sit back and try to hit them on counter attacks, Madrid will take a lesson from what happened to them last season win man city ran out 4:0 winner at the Etihad,

The both coaches are experienced as they know the tactics that can guarantee their team victory, but it will be up to the team with the best tactics on the night to progress to the next round of the competition.

Victory over Bayern is not something special and besides, this is a common pattern for Dortmund - they can beat anyone but also lose to anyone. Since bookmakers estimate odds based on an entire season/multiple factors, one or two games has virtually no effect on the estimate.
(...)

Sure, but bookies are quite often wrong in setting up the odds, as they rely on the algorithms too much. Personally, I think the latest few games are the best indicators of teams' performances. There's a lot of truth in the saying: "You're only as good as your last performance" after all.
So going back to the odds, let's compare the last 10 games of Atletico and Dortmund (all competitions):
Atletico: 4 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw (4 home games, 6 away games)
Dortmund: 6 wins, 1 loss, 3 draws (4 home games, 6 away games)

So even know the Spanish league is considered to be stronger than the German one, I think the x4.70 odds for Dortmund to win in Madrid are pretty attractive and I'm considering betting a modest amount on them, but could be worth waiting to see how they will do against Stuttgart later today.

After yesterday's games the situation became even more confusing, both teams, in my opinion, disgraced themselves. Dortmund lost and is teetering on the verge of relegation from the top 4, which could cost them a spot in the Champions League. Atlético won the cup, but winning on penalties against Mallorca is just ridiculous.
You are probably right when there is a high degree of randomness, you need to take an outsider. Perhaps the bet on Dortmund is really good in terms of risk/profit ratio.
Upd: Damn, I mixed up Atlético and Athletic  Grin I need to reconsider my opinion about the game Dortmund - Atlético.

This Arsenal vs Munich game is  going to be a very tough game to watch, the gunners really want to break that jinx of not getting to anywhere in the UEFA champions league. They believe in themselves now,and since defeating FC Porto, they have been one of the teams favourite for this tittle with their solidity and strong defence set-up.Bayern will really struggle to get a goal at the Emirates stadium in the first leg of the encounter, and thus, I make my predictions,Arsenal 3,Bayern 1.

After Bayern lost at home to Dortmund last week, I've already said that I think Arsenal can beat the currently weak Bayern Munich but after Bayern lost a 0-2 lead today I'm pretty sure they won't survive this round against Arsenal. Bayern only has its name but every other characteristic of the team from the last few years is missing.

Or what does the international community think about their performance?
Bayern Munich's performance has been very poor this season in the league, but can we guarantee that Bayern Munich will also experience the same thing in the Champions League?
I don't think so, because I think the Champions League and the Bundesliga certainly have a different atmosphere so in the end Bayern Munich will have greater motivation than them playing in a league that is already impossible for them to win at the moment, so of course they will no longer focus on the Bundesliga as the main target because indeed their position is at least safer in the top 4 at this time.

The poor performance of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and also their hopes in the league that have disappeared, it is certain that Bayern Munich will focus all their abilities to face Arsenal in the Champions League later, that's when Arsenal should be wary of the rise of Bayern Munich which will no longer be burdened with their current domestic competition, I think in addition to the mentality possessed by Bayern Munich in the match later, of course their experience in the Champions League during the This of course will be a differentiator and also perhaps an advantage for Munich.
I personally will probably make a draw as the final result of the first leg match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

This is the big question that is on my mind. I can't understand what is going on with them in the Bundesliga. They haven't paid too much attention to what is going on in the Bundesliga as the title race was over for them weeks ago I think, but should a team like Bayern Munich lose a game in the Bundesliga that they were leading by 2 goals? I think no matter how bad the situation is for a team full of superstars, but losing that game was too much. I said somewhere else that I doubt Bayern Munich will play the same as they have been playing in the Bundesliga, but I now think that Arsenal could take the opportunity and attack a Bayern Munich team that is struggling a lot. No self-confidence, no conistentcy, Bayern can't rely on themselves and on their strengths. They can't keep the pressure up for 90 minutes and their defensive work is a catastrophe. Arsenal did a solid job in the Premier League and my bet is they will win the first game in London.

When Bayern beat Lazio and had the big Bundesliga win, I thought they were about to turn this around, but now they lost against Dortmund at home and now against Heidenheim. I don't expect much from them.

In my previous before this particular one now, I suggested that Bayern Munich's current poor performance I think will give Arsenal more hopes and  belief that they can actually eliminate Bayern Munich from the competition despite the fact that Arsenal are always the victim when the two teams meet each other.
Bayern Munich as we all know have a very superior record against Arsenal in the history of the UEFA Champions League competition but Arsenal must learn how to get past any thought that will make them think that the current Bayern Munich squad will be strong enough to stop them from progressing to the next stage of the competition because from all visible evidences, Arsenal have been a better team than Bayern Munich this season and would definitely eliminate the German champions if they can put in their best against them in the two-legged quarter final encounter
