Haaland hasn’t been scoring many goals this season compared to last season, but I can still tell you that Haaland is a dangerous player, which we shouldn’t underestimate in any match. What I noticed is that Haaland is not always given much opportunity by the opposite teams, sometimes you will see two or more players attacking Haaland alone. How do you expect him to perform well in most matches? But I will tell you that Haaland is still a dangerous player, and Real Madrid’s defenders shouldn’t underestimate Haaland in the match.
You are right. The productivity of Haaland in scoring goals is decreasing for this season. If we look at the top scorer in EPL, his number of goals is almost almost passed by Watkins. His number of goals is like stuck in 19 goals, it already happened quite long time. It is very different when it was in the last season, he looked very easy to score many goals in each match. I think this is one of the factor that many people prefer to favor Real Madrid to win against Man City.

But since he is not going to downplay its importance, if in each season he turns out to be the best player and FIFA gives the Ballon d'Or to Messi who is in the easiest league of all, then it doesn't make sense for him, no. It matters who comes out. Well, they are going to choose Messi, I think Haaland is a very good player, but now he sticks only to the team's results and his team becoming champion, that is what I see he wants to do, I also see that Pep can. If he doesn't want Messi's goals record to be taken away, then he doesn't leave him free and the way he plays, the team doesn't play for him , they don't Score many goals, only when they are Desperate to win, draw or come back. I have always seen this attitude in this team, of course it is something that is seen because it is compared to the Treatment that Pep gave to Messi at that time when he was at Barcelona.

Erling Haaland fires 'important' Manchester City message after Pep Guardiola verdict

Quote
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: "In the first half, we did make mistakes but we made a comeback. Kevin de Bruyne won the game with his actions, his assists, his goals, and everything. We won the game with him. I didn't know that [De Bruyne] enjoyed scoring goals more than assists, but I keep pushing him to say we have to win games. He has won many games for us, no doubt.

"It was really good for his performance. Manuel Akanji pushes a lot and is unbelievable playing at left-back. He is an incredible player. Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb were really good on that side in the first half. We wanted to score early in the second half and then we could close the game.

After Bayern lost at home to Dortmund last week, I've already said that I think Arsenal can beat the currently weak Bayern Munich but after Bayern lost a 0-2 lead today I'm pretty sure they won't survive this round against Arsenal. Bayern only has its name but every other characteristic of the team from the last few years is missing.
I can't really say that since this is football. Just like when Chelsea was unable to beat Burnley even when Burnley played with 10 players, but chelsea can beat United, which was playing with the full squad. This analogy proves that if anything is still unclear in football.
I saw Tuchel has announced several players that may not be able to play against Arsenal.

Or what does the international community think about their performance?
I would like to call Arsenal a win or draw the result in the first leg. The worst scenario is Arsenal to lose at home game.

Any team that plays too defensive against the other, would be only calling for a loss, so both teams should play as attacking as possible without fear. City could play a little bit more defensive and I fear that they could lose because of that, possession is great and all, but they need to score.
- I don't think so if Mancity applies a counter-attacking defensive style against Real Madrid. Playing a double attack with Real Madrid can be a double-edged sword when they cannot finish off Real Madrid, when Mancity's attack power at this time is not really outstanding if compare to Real Madrid.

- Meanwhile, if Mancity engrossed in attack but cannot score, it could be a very good opportunity for Real Madrid to counterattack with its sharp attack. They switch states very quickly and can score in any direction. Being careful with the defensive counter-attacking style in Real Madrid's first leg at home I think is not a bad plan for Mancity. They still have a return match at home, so holding off Real Madrid is a possible goal for Mancity to aim for.

I mean Real managed to beat City before as well, and last year City managed to beat Madrid, they are both good teams and could beat each other, so it doesn't feel like that would be such a big bore, I think that seems to be the case, I feel like that seems like the most important part. I feel like the best thing about the current situation is that you could possibly make it work one way or another and should not be afraid of just going for the win.

Any team that plays too defensive against the other, would be only calling for a loss, so both teams should play as attacking as possible without fear. City could play a little bit more defensive and I fear that they could lose because of that, possession is great and all, but they need to score.
Both teams are great and have experience in the champions league, I honestly don't like them meeting in matches other than finals, but fate brought them together in the quarter-final qualifiers to my disappointment, and this meeting I am very confused to choose Real Madrid or Manchester City to bet on a match like this. both have different characters and the ability to conquer each other, also as you said that Real Madrid has beaten Manchester City and vice versa, this is quite a dilemma in making a decision.

No, I think Haaland and KDB are still working quite well, in fact what you mentioned is more suitable for the position of madrid because at the end of the spear is no longer Benzema this season, he is just Joselu and he is not as sharp as Benzema as a central striker, I think both of them will do a defensive strategy and prioritize the play of the central midfielder, if you look at the character I think man city will take more of a strategy of passing from the left wing and right wing to be eaten by Haaland.

Personally I don't think the performance of Bayern Munich in their league should have any effect their performance against Arsenal, the truth is that Bayern Munich has been in bad shape since the beginning of the season but they managed to be among the best performing teams in the UCL don't you think something is fishy? When they 1:0 against Lazio in the first leg of the knockout stage almost every one believed that they were never going to qualify again but what did they do they came all the way to trash Lazio 3:0 to qualify to the next round. A lot of people may pick Arsenal as the favorite against Bayern Munich but they shouldn't forget in a hurry the history that Bayern Munich has against Arsenal and since the champions league is the only hope of Bayern Munich
You are right. Bayern Munich no longer dominated Bundesliga, Leverkusen which dominated Bundesliga this season. Even if Bayern Munich still dominates Bundesliga, it doesn't automatically bring positive impacts on the match against Arsenal. Moreover, Bayern Munich performance is very unstable during this season, I'm not really sure if Bayern Munich is ready for the next match in UCL.

The match against Lazio was another proof that Bayern Munich couldn't play consistently. They were defeated in Leg 1 but they won with 3 goals in Leg 2. I think this is not a good sign for Bayern Munich. If they really focus on UCL and do best effort, they won't play inconsistently in UCL matches. However, we can't underestimate Bayern Munich. They are surely not a weak team, they are one of the top teams. Bayern Munich also has a good history in UCL as well.

Erling Haaland is on the verge on been the highest goal scorer this season. I've a strong feelings he will be crowned the golden feet due to his consistency in scoring goals and immense assists from his teammates which will definitely push him to he at the top. Manchester City is a team that does supports their players in every tournament they're anticipating and trust me when I say, Erling Haaland will starts hitting significant goals to positioned himself infront of his opponents. As for Ollie Watkins, he tried but not just good enough to compete.

Arsenal is very much ready for this game more than every time we've seen. I think this time we can see Arsenal beating Bayern Munich and taking revenge on this team after years of getting bad results against them. In the last game before the Champions League match, Arsenal won the game against Brighton with a 3-0 result and they had amazing results with good teamwork work which shows this team is getting ready for the big game they are going to have.
Bayern Munich is not weak but they are not in a good situation currently and since they lost the Bundesliga title, they even don't have good motivation for this match which can give Arsenal more chances.
Even Arteta after beating Brighton in the Premier League said it was time to win the match against Bayern Munich.

The match is going to be a 50:50 game but I will be picking Bayern Munich to qualify to the next round ahead of Arsenal.

Thomas Tuchel is not that man, not happy he is losing his job but it's thee best way to see Bayern Munich progress forward. They would be looking at Girona's head coach or Antonio Conte as replacement for Thomas Tuchel who has indeed lost it for himself and for the club.

They've dropped hugely, I would also think they will never fall off but look at them. Bayern Munich only hopes noww has got to be on the Champions League Competition.
As for Borrussia Dortmund, they're flops. They now have a huge battle going on. Stuggart could even leapfrog Bayern Munich if they do not go consistent. Glad to see that they Bayern Leverkusen will be winning them first .

Like I always say, my main pity for the club and for others.

Haaland today scores a goal but man, seems like he is under a dry spell right now, and also he doesnt score so much in important games or difficult situations, so they care about this if you wanna bet in this match.

Im not gonna put money on this first game.

It's your choice to place a bet in any match that you want, no one is going to force you to put your money in any match; it’s your decision to make. If you are not comfortable placing a bet on the match, then you can just leave it.

Basically Manchester City still has a better chance than Real Madrid but yes, at the same time Real Madrid certainly has the ability to be able to play well because they are the king of Europe. Therefore, it will certainly still not be easy for Manchester City to beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in this first leg. Because of course, Real Madrid who in the second leg will play away, so Real Madrid will also maximize the chances they have in this home match . Therefore ,I believe that eventhough De Bruyne and Haaland got good results in their last match in the Premier League but yes, it is certainly not easy for them to be able to make good results like in the previous match, because playing in the Champion League match will certainly be different.
I think for now Madrid benefit because they have more rest than Manchester City before facing that Ccrucial match, ahead of that game Manchester City continue to play their games in the league and I think Manchester players are Currently in a state of fatigue so they only have 3 days of rest after a long journey from England to Spain,  I think of course these factors will make Madrid chances of winning the game very big later.

But apart from all that, of course we hope that both teams can put in a good performance in the game, and I think in the first leg Manchester City will just try to defend and at least get a draw in the game bcause no matter what their condition is, in my opinion, their will not be able to make them play Optimally in that match,  My Prediction is that the first leg will be dominated by Madrid and maybe they will be able to score to win and 1-0 is the most likely to happen, because in this case Manchester City defence should not be underestimated and I think they will park the bus in the game so as not to make it too difficult for them in the second leg when playing at the Etihad Stadium.

Indeed. Both Man City and Real Madrid have almost the same squad quality and they also have smart coach. No doubt that they have the same chance to defeat one another. It is difficult to predict which team to win the matches and qualify for the next round. However, I think Real Madrid is a bit better because they look like in their best shape recently. Meanwhile Man City looks not in their best performance because their strikers are no longer as productive as in the previous season.

Sure, which team that is trying to play defensively, it may lead us to a lose. I don't think Man City or Real Madrid will play defensively, moreover it is in the Leg 1. They must try to score as many as possible in this Leg because they want to secure their aggregate for the Leg 2. Which team can lead in Leg 1, they will be easier to face Leg 2.

Although in the last two seasons Real Madrid and Manchester City have faced each other in the semifinals, but in fact Real Madrid and Manchester City have never met in the Champions League final. I think this is very unfortunate because Real Madrid and Manchester City are still in a good trend in these three consecutive seasons. Although indeed, for next season it is also still possible for Real Madrid and Mancehster City to have a good trend, but if they always meet in important matches in the Champions League like this, then at least it might be boring too even though it is not entirely right. But yes, the point is that it's unfortunate that they met in the quarterfinals, because their level is clearly worthy of qualifying for the semifinals and finals.
However, the quarter-final match deserves to be considered the most decisive match, because I think one of them has the potential to win the championship trophy this season. The meeting between the two favorite teams deserved to happen in the final, but the draw brought them together sooner, and it was no less interesting to watch.

The ambitious background of the two teams is an attraction in itself, Madrid will try to take revenge for their defeat last season, and now they have the strength to do so. On the other hand, City strength is not much different from last season, the draw against Arsenal cannot be considered a setback, Pep Guardiola and his squad will try to show a different performance in the Champions League.

It could be that City will be able to beat Madrid like last season, and it could be that Madrid will be able to get their revenge. The point is that this match is quite difficult to predict. Overall, Madrid now has a higher victory reputation than City in all competitions, but we can't use that as a complete reference, because the Champions League alwasy is full of surprises.

The Arsenal Bayern used to beat us different from our Arsenal we have now, so even though Bayern didn’t lose these last two matches that made them worse in some people’s face, I think Arsenal is capable of winning them even in their best form this season because Arsenal is good and have a good defensive line that can be proud of both in the Premier League and the Champions League.

As an Arsenal fan, I think this season is a season for us to make history, we never win Champions League before, but I am seeing us as a good team that can beat any team in the world, but my hope for this Champions League is because the two favorites are fixed together to play the quarter finals and once any of them is eliminated, it will be easy for Arsenal to try their best and see if they can win it.

I think Arsenal on the contrary now is the time to become consistent outside the EPL, they are strong enough and hold serious competition in their home league, which can't be said for Bayern. Maybe Arsenal will take advantage of Bayern's position and still be able to go further in the 1/2 of the tournament
If Arsenal is going to beat Bayern Munich and take revenge for all the beatings they have received in the hands of the German champions, then the time is now, they might never get a better chance to beat Bayern Munich. Tuchel's men are really struggling and now their only chance of lifting a trophy is the CL, but they are faced with a huge test in Arsenal.

If Arsenal are to progress to the next round, then they have to beat Bayern at the Emirates. Bayern Munich might not be in form, but beating them in the Allianz Arena is a tough proposition, thus Arsenal need to take the initiative and win in the first leg, so they can at least carry a win into the second leg in Germany.

I agree with you, but the Bayern coach has recently issued a phrase that post facto says that he has given up in the fight for the title of champion of Germany and here the question arises whether he has given up in principle this season or in the Champions League he is still ready to fight with the team. Just such statements are very strange, because the team may not have lost faith in winning yet, and after such words they can completely give up, not only in their home championship

It's up to you, no one is forcing you just because you don't bet on that match.
Haaland can score at any time, especially when he has a good chance. No matter how many goals he scored in the last few games, the center forward's real function is to score goals. Haaland is a strong center forward, not only can score goals but he can also provide assists to his teammates.

When people say things about a player, you will think that if they are given the same opportunity they are going to do better but give them a small field to do some little skills and watch them disappoint you, it's even those that makes analysis but can't do anything. People forget that when a player is becomes a target, it becomes difficult for him to make use of any chance, Haaland wasn't having a chance that's why Kevin was doing all the work alone instead of assisting Haaland.

Quote
Manchester City and Real Madrid have both been good in the last few matches, I mean both have appeared consistent with their wins. Haaland, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden and all the main players seem ready to play the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu, except for Ederson and Ake who are reportedly still injured. I hope Real Madrid won't give Manchester City much space to develop their game, but if they don't close tight then it's very possible to concede a few goals.

The two teams has been in good shape since they left their respective knockout stage, the players are fit and none of them is currently injured. Real Madrid has been quiet about this games and that's makes me think that they will win this match, it's not easy as we think about this two teams outcome but I'm betting on Real Madrid on come out with outstanding results.

I am having faith in Manchester City but please don't underestimate Real Madrid power of winning this phase of the Champions League. Your Comparism is just based on the last performance of the last season which we all knew that the club didn't have a good striker, the midfield was weak and defenders couldn't deliver their job, yiu should check 2021 Champions League and how they manage to slip through Manchester City in Semi final.

If we want to use their domestic leagues to contest for who is going to win this match, I will go with Real Madrid but if they are talking about their performance, Manchester City looks good and solid than Real Madrid and the payers look more hungrier than the any team in this league.
Manchester City is indeed a candidate to win the title this season, this cannot be separated from their strength or stability, of course that is a fairly accurate assessment to say that they are very strong this season. Of course it is better not to think that other teams are weak because other teams also have many quality players in their teams. So in the quarter-finals we will see who is the best between Manchester City and Real Madrid because these two teams will face each other. From my observations, maybe one of the teams that will succeed in this match will be the strongest to win the title.

Arsenal too, they are still favorites this season, regardless of mentality or strength, of course they have become more confident this season. Two teams from the Premier League are very strong in the Champions League this season, be it Arsenal or Manchester City, they have a target of becoming champions. So on the other hand, can teams from other leagues thwart Manchester City mission this season or will other teams bring home trophies to their leagues like Ligue 1 or Bundesliga.
