Who's talking about knocking teams from the Champions League competition? Every manager keen on holding firm ground and focusing on winning the title because it's the ultimate important to everyone, Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti are experienced. Manchester City and Real Madrid are both great teams, having the basic necessities of winning matches with ease efforts. Revenge? There's no such thing because elite teams will continue to fight to become the best in the UEFA Champions League this season.
I also don't think that the meeting between Manchester City and Real Madrid in the Champions League this season is an event for revenge because it is true as you said that every elite team has a specific target to be able to win the match in order to get the Champions League title this season. For now, I still think that their match will both have enough tension so that everyone might not just miss their match. Because that will be quite interesting to watch this season.

Manchester City must not underestimate Madrid, if they really want to win, they must be able to focus on playing consistently and regularly on the field so they can face Madrid like last season, be more calm and measured to be able to score goals, I believe that Manchester City can do it if they don't underestimate Madrid. they will be much more focused, we all know that all of Manchester City's key players will almost be played in the first leg and if Madrid want to win they have to beat the first leg.

It is not typical of City to underestimate a club that has won many titles in the UCL. Madrid is the current king of the UCL, it would be a big mistake if City were too overconfident in this match. I think, Pep Guardiola also really understands how Madrid plays the strengeth and weakness, and what he needs to do is keep his playing strategy on the field running well. This is the Quarter-Final round, there is no way City can underestimate Madrid.

Last season City destroyed Madrid and showed they would be champions... This season Madrid have a chance to get revenge, but for that they need to play very well in Madrid, because in England away City are very strong... I think that the winner of this match will be the winner of the Champions League, just like last season...

Although Manchester City knocked Madrid out of the Champions League last season, they will certainly try hard enough this season to get their revenge. But I think Real Madrid is strong enough this season to beat Manchester City and I think they will survive in the Champions League. Real Madrid must perform well and play brilliantly if they want to take revenge on Manchester City otherwise it will never be possible. Maybe the team that wins this season between Manchester City and Real Madrid will try hard enough to win the Champions League and win the trophy.
Even though I really want Manchester City to win and am very confident that Manchester City can win the Champions League trophy, Pep Guardiola must be careful with the strategy that Ancelotti will use, even though City chances of winning are quite big, Ancelotti is a very experienced coach and definitely knows mistakes Real Madrid last season which will not be repeated again and also knowing the gaps that exist in Manchester City.
It would be good if Pep Guardiola tried to use a new, more appropriate strategy so that Ancelotti wouldn't know about it.
Looking at the readiness of the players of these two clubs, it is very clear that Manchester City is better prepared and more perfect than Real Madrid.
Anyone who supports City to win will definitely not hesitate to bet on Manchester City.

What Manchester City needs in the 1st leg match is to try not to score too many goals. Manchester City and Guardiola must provide a strategy to focus on Vinicius and Bellingham because these two Real Madrid players are Ancelotti's mainstay and I think Haaland and de Bruyne You have to stay focused on breaking into Real Madrid's goal, but the central midfielders have to have a bit of a tough job, they have to focus on helping attack and also helping defend the defense line.
I see that the Manchester City players are mentally ready to compete at home to Real Madrid and this will give a great feeling of enthusiasm to Guardiola's players.

Mate, Real Madrid have already dominated the Champions League so far.  Smiley  They have a total of 14 championships achieved in this competition. Their success in the Champions League has become like an ecole.

Aside from that they won the title in the 2021/2022 season without having a player like Mbappe. Manchester City were still strong those times but Real Madrid still eliminated them in the semi finals. Maybe you will say Manchester City didn't have Haaland then. In that case I would like to remind you of another fact that Haaland didn't have much impact on his team's matches in the semi finals and final last season either.

By the way I can agree with you on a point. When Mbappe joins Real Madrid they will probably start playing at a much higher level.  Wink

precisely, Real Madrid has a big big experience of the Champions League and also its coach, Carlo Ancellotti has gained a lot of experience in this competition with Milan AC, by combining these two entities a crazy mix comes out, they are very strong, nothing to say about it

I wonder, which team can underestimate Real Madrid?
Do you believe that there are teams that underestimate Real Madrid, especially about this is the knockout phase of the Champions League and of course every team will consider their opponents to be tough opponents in this round. Therefore, it doesn't seem right if you think or assume that Manchester City underestimates Real Madrid, it's very funny. After all, basically Manchester City and Real Madrid are also big teams but it is clear that Real Madrid is superior because Real Madrid have won many Champions League trophies. But the point is, every team that passes to the knockout phase like that of course every team will use all their abilities of course to be able to qualify for the next phase, and of course every team will not be able to underestimate the opposing team.
There is not a single team that deserves to be underestimated in the current knockout stage, especially when all 8 teams have reached the quarter-finals. We have to assume that every match is really difficult for all teams and it doesn't make sense for one or several of them to underestimate each other.

Real Madrid is a team that has won many titles in the Champions League, they have a good squad and great enthusiasm to carry out their plans. Moreover, Manchester City is also one of the strongest to date, so these two teams will compete with each other's tactics and individual players' abilities to win the match by beating each other. I'd probably get both coaches to say positive things to each other instead of bad ones, that's a good habit ahead of a game.

Any ucl teams were always putting their respect to the each other and it will not happen. There will be no club that underestimate their opponent. People were only arguing based on their opinions but i think that if pep was always seeing his opponent as something that must be beaten by use all of its strength.
This is also making the situation even better since the club will able to get more motivation to beat its opponent. I think that if the argument about city underestimate its opponent was coming from the personality and it's not from the club itself.
Moreover we are already in the quarter-finals, of course all the teams that have managed to qualify for the quarter-finals have excellent quality this season, so of course there is no team that should be underestimated.
In terms of strength, the Manchester City team is indeed strong, but Real Madrid is the team that is nicknamed the king of the Champions League because they are the team that has managed to win the most UCL titles. Of course, there is greater respect shown for this team by all teams.

I think no one can easily qualify for the semifinals, all the teams currently have almost the same quality and regarding predictions and favorites of course everyone has different views, and that's normal.

This is the quarter-final round which is occupied by the 8 best teams in the Champions League this season, so there is no reason for anyone to underestimate other teams, especially Real Madrid, who we know is the most successful team in the Champions League with 14 championship titles. . It's strange if a team underestimates another team in a very decisive round like this where 2 matches will really determine whether their journey in the Champions League will continue or not. Moreover, what I have seen so far is that Real Madrid is a team that is always being considered to become champions in the Champions League.

Both Real Madrid and Manchester City will be wary of each other, they don't want their journey to stop in this good season, what we hope is that they can meet in the final round, but we have to see them in this round. But even if our hopes cannot come true, at least we will witness an extraordinary match like this, where big and strong teams like them must be able to beat each other in this round.

The x factor I mean is because Bayern's experience in the Champions League will be one of my assessments, not because Bayern Munich did not perform well in the Bundesliga or Arsenal performed impressively in the Premier League.
I'm not ignoring Arsenal's performance so far, but in a big tournament like the Champions League, everything can change.
It is an open contest, and any of the teams can actually win it. Guess our team is not just made up of completely inexperienced players that a few arsenal players that have had Champions League experience and that can count. The team that will win in the game is a team that will make use of their chances the most because Arsenal we have to make sure that they score a lot of goals at the Emirates Stadium before they travel to Germany to play Bayern. Real Madrid game against Manchester City is also a game that deciding the winner will be very difficult. If Real Madrid defeat Manchester City, they will become the favorites to win, but if Manchester win Real Madrid again in the kind of form they are in, Manchester City will lock in their intentions of not being willing to relinquish the title this season. The fixtures to come are very unpredictable.

I don’t think there is room for revenge in this confrontation, the strongest wins here. Last season, City was stronger, this could be said before the match, but this time Real approached the quarter-finals in very good shape, however, City is also not behind Real in this. Before the start of their matches, I can say that now they are equal teams, but perhaps later I will change my opinion.

To be honest, it is a shame that these two elite teams had to meet in the quarter-final match. Madrid versus City meeting, just like last season. Madrid was the home team in the first leg, but the meeting between these two teams was in the semifinals. So, will this match be like last season, the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw. Or, Don Carlo's squad is able to win the match and overthrow City with the new system he is currently implementing.

In the Madrid camp, several of their players, especially defenders, were unable to strengthen their team when they hosted the match against City because they were still suffering from injuries.  Meanwhile for City, only Ederson is likely to miss the big match. What is certain is that City will not underestimate Real Madrid, because I am sure Pep Guardiola is always wary of his opposing team, especially in the Champions League competition.
On the other hand, Ancelotti really knows how strong Manchester City is, especially if Pep Guardiola's squad is on fire. Pep can apply several different patterns and systems in the next match, and maybe Don Carlo will also do the same. I'm pretty sure neither Pep Guardiola nor Carlo Ancelotti will take this match lightly.

Moreover, if I refer to the betting exchanges that bookies provide, the odds available do not really have a significant gap. It's only natural, because after all these two teams are kings in their respective domestic leagues.  but for the time being, even though this match is an away match, City is the favorite based on the betting market. Honestly, I can't wait to watch these two teams battle.

I don’t think that these games have anything to do with the way things are today. This was 7 years ago. Who remains on the teams from those times? Müller, Neuer and a couple of other dinosaurs, but that's not the point: Müller may not have changed much over the years (a lot, actually), but both teams have changed a lot.
On paper, Arsenal is stronger now, but it is difficult to predict how it will all end because Bayern knows how to play high pressing, and Arsenal plays poorly without the ball. Everything will depend on whether the players can implement the tactical plans of the coaches.
Past records are important to be considered in football especially in the Champions League football. Bayern Munich has been one of the teams that always eliminated Arsenal in the Champions League for some years back, before it used to aggregate elimination because Arsene Wenger was good then and he always try his best to make sure Arsenal pass through Bayern, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to do that and his last two season was the worst one on which Bayern defeated Arsenal 5-1 in three consecutive encounters.
Nevertheless, this is history, and Arsenal is in another form and not in the previous form just as Bayern Munich is now. I don’t think Bayern can be that good to beat Arsenal again home and away, I am not denying the facts that they qualify ahead of Arsenal, but they will struggle to eliminate Arsenal. Arsenal
Can also eliminate them.

Bayern is not doing well in the Bundesliga, while Arsenal is doing better.
This is exactly correct, if you take a look at the head to head between the two team, Bayern have won far more games and if we are to predict this game using that, then the advantage is with Bayern Munich. Having said that, Arsenal have improved greatly since the last time they met Bayern, and even though it sounds strange to say, they (Arsenal) are the favorites in this tie as they have the quality to eliminate Bayern Munich.

The Premier League as Arsenal's main competition and the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich's main competition will be different when Bayern Munich faces Arsenal in the Champions League.
If Bayern Munich's performance in the Bundesliga is not as good as Arsenal's performance in the Premier League, for me it will not have a big impact on Bayern's failure in the Champions League with the intention that Bayern can perform better than Arsenal.

The x factor I mean is because Bayern's experience in the Champions League will be one of my assessments, not because Bayern Munich did not perform well in the Bundesliga or Arsenal performed impressively in the Premier League.

The condition of the two teams that are still unpredictable in terms of performance I think it could be another factor that this match is difficult to predict.
In terms of mentality and experience now it is certain that Bayern are still very favorites, it's just that with a slightly monotonous way of working and Arsenal's insistent play in a match this could be a differentiator where we know Arsenal's youngsters sometimes become very solid and can play with good consistency in 90 minutes of the match.

Tuchel knows how Arsenal are in a match and on the other hand Arteta must also have known what to do when facing Tuchel later. I just hope this match goes well because after all this is a big match and I expect good tension in this match.
Bayern Munich and Arsenal are indeed a very interesting match, because in terms of strength Arsenal can still be overshadowed by past defeats. But for Arteta, that is not a reason to withdraw before playing. Tuchel may have studied Arsenal and Arteta, vice versa so I think this match will definitely be difficult to predict. Apart from the public who definitely favor Bayern Munich as the strongest team, once again the situation and mentality of the Arsenal players is in a favorable condition. This match will not be easy for Bayern Munich to pass.
Actually for now is a situation that is actually very complicated for Arsenal because they have waited long enough to be in the Champions League but on several occasions at this time they are faced with unlucky when the group phase goes well but for the further phase they actually face some big clubs that make their probability shrink.
Currently against Bayern is indeed a complicated situation because looking at the strengths possessed as well as the conditions, especially for the problem of experience and h2h, they are not favored for this meeting, besides that even if they can win for the semi-finals they will also face a more difficult match if in the quarter-finals Arsenal managed to win and indeed this can still be won especially for Bayern their Quarter-final curse is still unbreakable.

There is a segae wind for Arsenal now because Neuer is likely to rest for a slightly longer period of time because he is injured again now and this can be maximized well by Arsenal because it becomes a little advantage when facing Bayern later.

Yes, last season is for Manchester City, but this season they should prepare to pack their load and return home because, based on Real Madrid's performance this season, I am confident that they will not allow what happened to them last season to reoccur. Even if fans are proud of Manchester city performance this season, I don't believe they can go far with it.

The real Madrid performance will demonstrate that they are a strong team, which everyone are always expecting positive results from them in each of their matches. Real Madrid have standard defenders and midfielders that are ready to face Manchester City back-to-back in their next encounter, and I'm anticipating a positive outcome from Real Madrid so that they can dominate the Champions League this season.

I would say this match is very difficult to predict. There is no doubt that the Bayern Munich team is more experienced than Arsenal in the Champions League. But Arteta's Arsenal are in very good form right now. Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table. Beating such a team is definitely going to be a tough challenge for Bayern Munich.

Arsenal's past record against Bayern Munich on the Champions League platform is not good. The teams met twice in 2015 and 2017. Bayern Munich won all three matches by a big margin, Arsenal won one match 2-0. Bayern Munich will definitely want to continue this trend. But if none of Arsenal's key players suffer from injuries, and if Arsenal can play with their full squad, Arsenal have the potential to beat Bayern Munich this season.

I don’t think that these games have anything to do with the way things are today. This was 7 years ago. Who remains on the teams from those times? Last call for players like Modric and Kross in this real Madrid, so they are gonna play this two amtches with all they have remaining in his legs. For me Manchester City still favorite against Real MAdrid, but you know Real MAdrid is the king in this competition and they always can win somehow.

I remember the last game in Etihad, a lot of people forgot the shoot of Kross from long distance if that shot went in we can maybe see a diferent story in that game.
The experience and mentality of Kross and Modric will be very important in this match, especially since they are very important players in the Real Madrid squad, especially in maintaining balance in the midfield. However, I don't know whether Ancelotti will play them or entrust them more to young players, but if you look at it now, of course Ancelotti has to include these two players, because their experience will be something that might make a difference in this match.
However, whatever the coach's decision will be, he will definitely know better what and which players he can rely on to carry out his strategy. Ancelotti's experience in dealing with Pep Guardiola's strategies is also quite frequent, in the last few seasons they have always met in the Champions League. Both Pep and Ancelotti should have known what strategy each team might play.
One of the matches that was eagerly awaited and many people said this was the final match which was so long that many people regretted it.

The thing is Arsenal will have to think about both the Champions League and the English Premier League at the same time. But Bayern Munich is going to go all out on the champions League competition because that is the one competition they have some hope about. They are not winning the Bundesliga title. So they will try desperately to win the champions League title. That's why I think it is going to be tough for arsenal too to win against Bayern Munich in the champions League competition.
Current level of the quality and performance is surely favouring the Arsenal because they are doing impressive in this 2024, and now they are taking good lesson of their poor results in past as well which is helping them for having better results at the top level even we all know Bayern Munich is one of the best in Champions League but now match day performance can bring surprises as well like we have in last round with Inter Milan is faced exit against Atlético Madrid which was surprising.

Arsenal is clearly at the top of the quality, and they can give tough challenging performance against the Bavarians but here they also need good psychological mind set as well because in big games this also works good for the teams win before this big game they are going to face defending champions Manchester City for the Premier League title race which is also important and their performance in this game is surely going to have big impact on their performance in Champions League as well.

Real Madrid is in good condition because they have perfect squad with all their mainstay players who have succeeded in enabling Real Madrid to achieve many wins in the previous few matches.
But on the other hand, Manchester City is also in very possible condition to beat Real Madrid because they have squad that really cannot be underestimated and Manchester City is really focusing on preparations for the quarter-final match later.
Hopefully, in the next almost 4 weeks before the match takes place, Manchester City will not have any problems that could harm them, such as players getting injured, because the first leg match is big opportunity for Manchester City to win by landslide.
Pep must be more careful in positioning his players for Premier League matches and he must be able to look after all the key players to avoid injury problems.

Real Madrid might be able to have additional performance with Mbappe but that will happen next season and this season they will only be the same as last season when they lost badly on the road to Manchester City.
I think the results of last season matches could happen again for this season quarter final.
The UCL has gotten to the Quater Finals stage and now we’re having 8 teams who are very good at what they do all contesting against each other for the Ucl. Now we have to start drawing out the chances of a particular team winning the trophy this season. All the matches in this round of the competition seems to be very fierce as they’re teams doing well in their various leagues. One match that caught our attention is between the 2 best teams who have greater chances of winning the trophy.

The Real Madrid vs Man City continues to be one game that have a fierce fight as both of these teams are doing great. These teams are also doing very well and they’re having great talents that can go on to win the league. Looking at this match, both teams will sure be having the advantage at their respective home grounds but I think Real Madrid have the greater advantage. Yes this is because Ancelotti has learnt from his mistake last season and isn’t willing to repeat on it again.

Talking about the talents of both teams, I think Real Madrid this season with the addition of Jude in that squad happens to be better than the Man City squad as the City squad if you check they’re not able to perform on the high level like they did last season. Also, Ancelotti would have learnt from hos errors last season and will be ready for Pep and his boys. I have strong hopes on Real Madrid going through and also winning the trophy because to me they’re he best team currently but Pep shouldn’t be underrated because he’s a very good tactician. Imagine Real Madrid having an addition like Mbappe then it’ll be a game over before the game starts, well that’ll be possible from next season.
