Last season City destroyed Madrid and showed they would be champions... This season Madrid have a chance to get revenge, but for that they need to play very well in Madrid, because in England away City are very strong... I think that the winner of this match will be the winner of the Champions League, just like last season...
Manchester city has always have this good record when playing at home, and it's such that they have a very minimal record of losses playing from home so most definitely they are not a team to undermine especially when you have to meet them in their home, they will most definitely make sure to create a good level of resistance against any team they are facing and will aswell make sure to get a goal at least before the end of the game.

Manchester city has got two tough games to play and I think it will in a way have an effect on them because they are most definitely going to stress as they need to get a win from both match if they must be able to achieve that which they aim to achieve in the various leagues where they have this fixture, I don't really know yet which comes before the other but which ever comes first, will have a way it will affect the other fixture because they may get fatigue from the previous into the next. I believe Manchester city will be able to manage this situation well enough and getting the best from both league.

In the champions league the fact that Manchester city is the defending champion is a good reason to keep their morale high against real Madrid but then I think the quest to stop city from getting the trophy for the second time is actually high from Madrid and that will actually influence their performance so let's expect a tough game and I hope Madrid be able to make good use of the home advantage they have got at the moment.

Last call for players like Modric and Kross in this real Madrid, so they are gonna play this two amtches with all they have remaining in his legs. For me Manchester City still favorite against Real MAdrid, but you know Real MAdrid is the king in this competition and they always can win somehow.

I remember the last game in Etihad, a lot of people forgot the shoot of Kross from long distance if that shot went in we can maybe see a diferent story in that game.
I think all of us here know who Madrid really are in the Champions League, by collecting and winning almost 14 trophies so far, besides that we know how Madrid's capacity can no longer be doubted even when they were able to get 3 trophies in a row in the 2015/2018 season while breaking the curse that no champions league champion can win consecutively so far,  Madrid's quality in the era of Ronaldo, Kross and Modric was a glorious era for Madrid which at that time continued to be a challenger for the La Liga title and also the Champions League.

Yes, if I didn't mistakenly shoot from outside the penalty box hit the crossbar which made Madrid fail to equalize the score in the match when they were 1 goal behind, what you said is true if the shot could go in, of course the Madrid players would rise, but unfortunately Manchester City's quick goal at that time had broken Madrid's spirit which made them lose 5-1 on aggregate,  Maybe this season will be the last season for Kroos and some old players who are in Madrid, because after all the many transfer plans that Madrid will do next season seems to hint if there will be a regeneration in the Madrid squad next season.

Manchester City must not underestimate Madrid, if they really want to win, they must be able to focus on playing consistently and regularly on the field so they can face Madrid like last season, be more calm and measured to be able to score goals, I believe that Manchester City can do it if they don't underestimate Madrid. they will be much more focused, we all know that all of Manchester City's key players will almost be played in the first leg and if Madrid want to win they have to beat the first leg.

It is not typical of City to underestimate a club that has won many titles in the UCL. Madrid is the current king of the UCL, it would be a big mistake if City were too overconfident in this match. I think, Pep Guardiola also really understands how Madrid plays the strengeth and weakness, and what he needs to do is keep his playing strategy on the field running well. This is the Quarter-Final round, there is no way City can underestimate Madrid.
Manchester City definitely knows who they will face this time. Well it is Real Madrid which is highly respected by all the clubs in Europe. Because after all, Real Madrid is still the record holder for winning the most titles in the UCL. Pep certainly understands this and will not underestimate Real Madrid at all. And for the Manchester City vs Real Madrid match, I think the first leg will be the most important match for Manchester City. Because last season Manchester City could only score so many goals when they were hosts. Meanwhile, when playing at Real Madrid's headquarters, the result was a draw at that time.

Apart from talk about Manchester City and Real Madrid, I am also quite interested in seeing Bayern who seem to be really crazy again in the Bundesliga. After they succeeded in getting rid of Lazio, it turned out that Bayern became more productive in the Bundesliga. In fact, they scored 8 goals in one recent match and then scored 5 goals in the most recent match. It looks like Arsenal must be the most wary of their opponents this time. Because Bayern's level of play seems to be returning to their best form again.

Although Manchester City knocked Madrid out of the Champions League last season, they will certainly try hard enough this season to get their revenge. But I think Real Madrid is strong enough this season to beat Manchester City and I think they will survive in the Champions League. Real Madrid must perform well and play brilliantly if they want to take revenge on Manchester City otherwise it will never be possible. Maybe the team that wins this season between Manchester City and Real Madrid will try hard enough to win the Champions League and win the trophy.

Yes, I also agree with you. Both Man City and Real Madrid are in top form. In a narrow lane, Real Madrid and Man City faced each other again for the fourth consecutive season in the Champions League. The rematch between Real Madrid and Man City in the quarterfinals of this year's Champions League promises to continue to be a tense match. Man City will continue to defeat Real Madrid this season. In terms of player quality, Man City is still better. Although the talents of the two coaches are equal. Real Madrid can only be firm when they get the final piece of the puzzle, Kylian Mbappé. Only then will they dominate this Europe. Regarding the current squad, Real Madrid cannot overwhelm Man City.

Mate, Real Madrid have already dominated the Champions League so far.  Smiley  They have a total of 14 championships achieved in this competition. Their success in the Champions League has become like an ecole.
KING OF UCL, no doubt that if many people called madrid as a club that was very often in owning UCL. A club with most UCL trophies on its trophy cabinet.

Aside from that they won the title in the 2021/2022 season without having a player like Mbappe. Manchester City were still strong those times but Real Madrid still eliminated them in the semi finals. Maybe you will say Manchester City didn't have Haaland then. In that case I would like to remind you of another fact that Haaland didn't have much impact on his team's matches in the semi finals and final last season either.
Im seeing City to be an equal opponent to Real Madrid, and this is a difficult match to predict given that both clubs are still performing well in the UCL and domestic leagues, last season can still become a reliable data to predict which tema that will win the game soon. If City does not have Haaland on its squad, the club still has De Bruyne, Foden, and Rodri on its squad. People were only aware that the club was centralized around a single player, despite the fact that the city has a large number of talented players in the squad that will be ready to destroy their opponents. Madrid also has many great players in its squad, who have contributed significantly to the club's performance. That is my main reason for referring to these clubs as equal opponents. Madrid lost to City last season, and this season is completely different.
By the way I can agree with you on a point. When Mbappe joins Real Madrid they will probably start playing at a much higher level.  Wink
Mbappe is making Madrid even stronger because having mbappe will have same mean like having someone who is good at positioning, shooting, speed, and physics. Mbappe is the only capable striker who can compete with Haaland, who has been referred to as Manchester City's goal machine.
I hope to see Mbappe wearing the real Madrid shirt someday. It will be fantastic to have mbappe at one of the best clubs in the world, like Madrid. Mbappe's chances of winning UCL will be very high.

As Pep Guardiola said, if they want to dominate the Champions League, they must be able to beat Madrid. So of course it is an obligation for Pep Guardiola to be able to maximize the match against Madrid in Leg 1. However of all the phases that Madrid will face, their biggest challenge will come early, in essence like it or not, the Leg of the match will be like a final for anyone, a fierce battle will not can be avoided. The results of Leg 1 have a big impact, therefore Pep Guardiola understands Madrid situation much better, especially after Benzema left. Bellingham will be reunited with Haaland as an old friend from his days at Dortmund and will make this match even more special than the last meeting last season.

I really agree with your statement that Mbappe really suits Real Madrid's current style of play, but does Carlo Ancelotti want Mbappe in Real Madrid's current line, that is my question if Mbappe really wants to play in La Liga.
Mbappe is a brightest star player and he can self create chances, not like Haaland. His playing style is more beautiful than Haaland who is a traditional striker. I am not a fan of Mbappe by my opinion on Mbappe and Haaland as described and I like Mbappe more than Haaland because of their playing styles.

Quote
This is just my speculation, if these two players are still at Real Madrid then it would be very appropriate if Mbappe were brought in next season, because this figure is the one who is able to provide mature passes relying on the speed that Mbappe has, Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos are figures who is capable of providing mature assists, if Mbappe is used as a machine to pound the opponent's goal, then get ready it will be a frightening threat for La Liga clubs and European clubs.
Luka Modric is very old and he has helpful skills plus his experience, all makes him is a useful player but we already see his playing time for Real Madrid drops a lot in this season. He will have to accept a substitution position in Real Madrid if he wants to stay in Bernabeu as a player. Kroos is younger than Modric and can play some more seasons for them.

Real Madrid already prepare for their future without both Modric and Kroos and I believe their decision to buy Mbappe is not dependent on future of Modric, Kroos.

Man City has a higher chance of winning but they'll win not because Madrid don't have Mbappe, they'll win because they were the better team. Madrid can also win Man City without Mbappe.

Also, Madrid having Mbappe doesn't mean they will definitely dominate. Madrid has had better players than Mbappe before and they have had better squads than they currently have and they did not dominate in those times. Football is not only about stars.
What if Mbappe comes and the team becomes disorganised? Football is a team sports and for a team to succeed, everybody has to do his job effectively.

Let's not get him wrong, Mbappe style of playing fits the real Madrid pattern of playing, having him at Real Madrid will give them the upper hand to victory not that with his absent they won't  perform very well already they have been dominating all these while.
The match between both teams will be a tough one and it won't end goaless, since both of them are quite good with their finishing, it is left for the defenders and Goalkeepers to stop from conceiving many goals.

PSG - Barcelona. Would you expect Barcelona to have their revenge on PSG this time?   Grin  The last time they played against each other was in 2021 and there was Messi in Barcelona squad as well. However the aggregate was horrible for Barcelona like 5-2.  Sad  I remember Mbappe making a hat-trick in the first leg too.

Honestly I see another matchup in which PSG will eliminate Barcelona. I'm just wondering how the results will be. If we see Mbappe in a great shape again then Barcelona had better show their best defensive performance. Otherwise at least one of the legs could end up with a quite poor score for them. Their general look in defense is really bad you know.

Real Madrid might be able to have additional performance with Mbappe but that will happen next season and this season they will only be the same as last season when they lost badly on the road to Manchester City.
I think the results of last season matches could happen again for this season quarter final.

Playing at home, of course, Madrid has additional strength in front of all its supporters so that they can play optimally, especially since Madrid has talented young players who allow them to have strengths that are different from last season. I think this will be an interesting match compared to other matches, because both are the same. with a strong team and is certain to win the UCL title this season, whoever will qualify from this match will be able to win the title this season easily and they must play optimally and Guardiola will apply an unusual and different strategy for children his guidance when facing Madrid later.

From head to head statistics alone we can see how fragile Arsenal were at that time and it looks like this will not happen again with the current squad. The difference is clearly so big that Arsenal could make things difficult for Bayern Munich. Sometimes there are times when those statistics don't apply and I'm pretty sure Arsenal can be relied on.
The statistical analysis of Gunners have made huge positive improvement and any opponents coming their path, they ensured they cleared them with brief history. Arsenal are formidable and strong this season, they're exceptionally having great time and Mikel Arteta will try his best to maintain the potential form of these players. Arsenal might be underperfoming in all these previous season but this one is different. Mikel Arteta, the players will definitely shoots huge shoot because they're so desperate to lift a title.

The history of arsenal in UCL is pretty much the same like when arsenal was playing at EPL. Nothing difference, arsenal probably lose again against bayern soon. Arsenal never had good statistic in UCL. It has ever entered into the final but this was a very long time ago.
Arsenal never repeats this because the club is too weak to get UCL. I can understand it since Arsenal must have faced so many of the strongest clubs from the various leagues. This is also giving very big pressure to Arsenal.

Arsenal will not able to give a shoot to the UCL this season. It's caused by this is too hard for arsenal even though it's still getting good result in UCL. Im doubting arsenal to win against bayern soon. bayern literally played badly in the previous stage.
Things may be the difference in the next game against arsenal. As long as bayern can play freely and the chance to beat arsenal is very big for bayern. Getting draw in the first leg will have become a key to beat arsenal. Tuchel needs to think something good to ensure bayern can qualify and the club will not sack him.

To achieve a club championship requires collective strength because there is no guarantee that one person can give the team a championship title. Look at how when Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mbappe play as a team, they also have quite a hard time winning the Champions League, even though the strength of these three players is very good on the front lines. The strengths of Real Madrid and Manchester City are both strong now, but if we talk about experience, I tend to see Real Madrid as the strongest candidate at the moment.

Real Madrid has good players in the team and they have achieved many titles with the strength of the existing players. Mbappe's presence might provide much better strength, but there is no guarantee that he will be able to help Real Madrid win the Champions League. The team needs collective strength because there is no guarantee that one person can give the club a championship title.

If Barcelona are to win against PSG, they will need to keep their defense tight and stop Mbappe. Barcelona have no chance of winning if they can't stop Mbappe. PSG is a fairly stable team now. But even then, the team is most dependent on Mbappe to score goals. Barcelona will have a chance to control the match if they can resist Mbappe.

Lewandowski is in good form right now. Raphinha, Felix and Lewa can perform well and Barcelona have a chance to win against PSG. However, Barcelona's defenders must play well. If the defenders do not perform well, it is not possible to counter a team like PSG with only good performances from the attacking players.

Both teams currently are on same level of quality and performance even few are giving PSG advantage, but things are never been easy for them to win and have spot into next round because Barcelona has never been easy team to beat first leg game is going to play in Paris which is good advantage for them because this can give them good chance for having psychological advantage like they have in last round against Real Sociedad with Barcelona will try his best to have performance like they achieve against Napoli.

Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski are the key players for this encounter with both are in good form and Lewandowski is having good support from the other top quality players with PSG is also doing impressive run under Luis Enrique and his experience is going to help PSG as he also spends good time at the Barcelona as coach currently prediction is not easy but for me PSG having good chance for the jumping into last four.

I think the results of last season matches could happen again for this season quarter final.

Both teams have strong squads and are focused on preparing for the quarter-final. Injuries can be a significant factor in any match, so it's crucial for both teams to manage their players workload and pyhsical stress and avoid any unnecessary risks. Manchester City will need to be particularly careful, as any injuries to key players could significantly impact their chances of winning while Real Madrid may have some new additions to their squad next season, it's essential to focus on the upcoming match and not look too far ahead. The previous seasons results may provide some insight, but it's a new match with new circumstances, and both teams will need to bring their best to get in the next round.

I think Arsenal and Bayern Munich are in the same situation right now despite the position of Arsenal in the EPL, Arsenal is fighting to stay ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool so they can win the league while they are also hoping to get ahead of Bayern Munich to be in the semi while Bayern Munich on the other hand is fighting to see if they can close the gap between them and league leaders Bayer Leverkusen which is currently ahead of them with 10 points, it may appear that all hope is lost for Bayern Munich in the league but they can't give up now until the season is over  who knows if Leverkusen will lose 4 matches in the last remaining games and Bayern Munich will catch up with them so they are in similar situations with Arsenal.

All Bayern can hope to do in the Bundesliga is to close the distance to Bayer Leverkusen a little, but I'm pretty sure that they don't have a goal to get ahead of Bayer Leverkusen because that goal seems unrealistic. Now all of Tuchel’s attention will be focused on the Champions League, this is the number one tournament for Bayern now, if they manage to win the Champions League, then for Tuchel this will be the best thing, since he will be able to leave the team with a victory, and in this case there will definitely be many teams, who want to see him on their team. Of course this would be great for Tuchel, but for this I need to do a lot of work, and first beat Arsenal.
I think if Tuchel manages to win the Champions League title with Bayern Munich, it is likely that the club owner or director will try to keep him. I know that sometimes the coach's decision to leave is absolute, but as long as the request is to stay, he may not leave. Actually, that would be good for Tuchel because he could at the same time prove his capacity as one of the most experienced coaches in Europe and being on a big stage like the Champions League is something he and his team must try to conquer.

On the other hand, Arsenal cannot be taken lightly, especially as this young squad is very enthusiastic about producing the first title in the club's history and maybe if Arsenal can get rid of Bayern Munich then they will advance to the semifinals. But unfortunately even if Arsenal qualify then they will face one of the strong candidates for champions between Manchester City or Real Madrid considering they are in the same chart.

You are right, Real Madrid and Manchester City are the two favorites in the Champions League this season, but unfortunately they had to meet too soon in the quarter-finals. I was basically expecting Manchester City to play Real Madrid in the semi-finals, but that never really came true.

Real Madrid has home advantage in the first leg, while Manchester City will have it in the second leg. Manchester City already have experience beating Real Madrid, but they will never be able to do the same thing every season if Ancelotti has learned enough from his mistakes last season. I would certainly expect the opposite, I mean Manchester City must can beat Real Madrid in the quarter-finals this season.

Yes, I also agree with you. Both Man City and Real Madrid are in top form. In a narrow lane, Real Madrid and Man City faced each other again for the fourth consecutive season in the Champions League. Real Madrid have dominated Europe without kylian mbappé, so even if he comes into Madrid, it's to just help and improve on the already existing structure Madrid have, even in the absence of Ronaldo and benzema they've been outstanding in their performance, currently they are in top gear both in the champions League and their domestic league, sitting at the top of the table with 72 points, and are likely will be the title winners. I know the game between them and Manchester city is always a tough one, but with the current statistics, they are in a better position to win Manchester city.
