It's definitely hard to see how Atletico Madrid would beat Inter Milan, but it is still only one goal that sets Inter apart from them. And it is a home game, so I wouldn't write them off yet. Atletico has had spectacular games in the past in the Champions League, but I agree that this loss against Cadiz was rough. It's certainly no boost to their self-confidence and losing against a team that is fighting against relegation is a real bummer. Looking at the stats I think this was one of the poorest games Atletico Madrid has played this season. On the other hand, Inter Milan keeps performing without any problems.

La Liga representatives in the Champions League have favorites to reach the final, one of which is Real Madrid. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are not favorites in the Champions League this season, that is because their performance has been inconsistent throughout the season. Atletico Madrid lost the first leg against Inter with a score of 1-0, while Barcelona had to end the match with a score of 1-1. We know that the two La Liga teams still have a chance to win quarter-final tickets, especially when they play at home in the second leg, but the chances are not that good.

With Atletico Madrid poor performance today in their local matches against Cadiz, I have lost confidence in them that they will be able to qualify to the next round this season. This is because their visitors are very strong this season, and they also have strong defence which might make it impossible to Atletico to penetrate their defence.

However, I wouldn't use the performance of clubs in their local leagues to judge the outcome of UCL matches, but I don't think that Atletico will survive in this round, because if they were unable to score Cadiz how will it be possible for them to score Inter that is much more stronger than Cadiz. I do3know what has made Atletico to decline in performance recently.

La Liga teams comes for the UEFA Champions League title but they're not getting it because the promising clubs are yet to be decided. Don't ever place your trust on these elite teams because the results they eventually generate appears to be inconsistent and confusing most times. For illustration, the exact scenario of Atletico Madrid, they won Real Betis 2-1 and lost to Cadiz 2-0 which is very confusing result. An elite team will not always be in good form this season, rather there are many more actions to be triggered with these teams.

Exactly how Athletico Madrid is playing now, I don't think they can qualify to the quarter finals of the Champions League anymore, because they are playing weak games and they can't continue competing with big clubs in the league and the Champions League, I thought they would perform very well in the competition, but now I don't think they will get the opportunity to qualify to the next round, is only Athletico Madrid that gets the opportunity to defeat Real Madrid in the league, because they are performing well in the league and am thinking they will get the chance and compete with Real Madrid in the league table but unfortunately they are even struggling in the league now,  they will just continue staying in four position in the league table to get the chance and qualify to the Champions League next season. Will this be a wonder season for Arsenal? I think I am so fast to hope. A club like Manchester city and Real Madrid are still strong in the champions League. So, there's no much hope for Arsenal, except in the English premier League.

There are only two teams playing in the final and there are still two rounds left to reach it, all teams have the same chance, Madrid and City deserve to be favourites. The round of 16 is not yet completely finished, there are 4 other matches that must be played by the 8 contestants, I predict that Barcelona, Arsenal, Dortmund and Inter will qualify for the quarter finals, of course I could be completely wrong.

Regarding City, I see that Pep Guardiola fleet is still strong enough to defend the trophy. From the group phase to qualifying for the quarter-finals, City managed to sweep the match clean with a win, I think that is proof that they are still a strong candidate. Similar to City, Inter still has the same strength as last season, in fact I see them being stronger this season. Inter Milan is already at advantage winning the first leg already, that has kept him at the advantage of still qualifying even if he gets a draw by the end of the second leg, and if they get a goal away it's another big advantage for them so it will take atletico some more hard work to be able to stay ahead well enough to keep inter on pressure to still win and be hopeful to get a win and make sure to qualify unto the next stage.

Inter Milan still remains in their very best form and are much more ready for the second leg except for the fact that they will be playing from away which may want to appear like a disadvantage but then I still believe and trust they will be able to still stay ahead of the Atletico because currently Atletici has got some kind of inconsistent form of which if they are still in such a form they may not be able to get a win over inter, and it's an advantage for inter to smoothly get to qualify unto the next stage with little or no much stress, although it's not promising to be an easy game tho.

Just like last season Inter has got a very good potential to scale through beyond this round of sixteen and possibly find themselves at the finals again this season and that will be if they don't happen to meet either of Manchester city, Real Madrid or probably Bayern Munich, as meeting any of these teams will mean a threat for them such that their chances of qualifying becomes way too Small because of the challenge these teams may pose.

I think it remains a difficult match for Arsenal to be able to turn things around because after all, Porto's defense is also fairly strong and there is still Pepe there as a very strong player in defense. Even though on paper Arsenal are still very favored to win because after all, based on the odds available at this time also really project Arsenal to win. It's just that with their experience I think if they can calm down in the end it can still be possible for them to win even though in the end holding a draw is also a favorable situation for them but with the pattern that Inter always do now it seems like playing safe is not their style for now so I think instead of being defensive it would be better if Inter are more courageous in balancing the game that occurs in leg 2 later.

A good sign for the second leg meeting against Porto, where many goals are likely to be scored. If things go according to scenario, then Arsenal can qualify for the quarter finals and break their bad record in the round of 16. It also doesn't rule out the possibility of the opposite happening, who knows, Porto will create another surprise even though Arsenal is the favorite team to win.

You can’t be comparing the performance of Atletico Madrid in the La Liga to what you’re expecting of them to play against Inter Milan in the Champions League this week. If I can remember Atletico Madrid have represented more often recently in the Champions league than Inter Milan. I won’t allow their weak performance in the La Liga be an hinderance on not to believe in them prevailing against Inter Milan. As usual, it will be a competitive match and the better side this week will qualify for the quarterfinals.


Arsenal will want to be at their best in this match but I feel it will be a very difficult match for them to just win like that. FC Porto one goal advantage at the first leg match will play an important part for them in this match, and if they can hold down Arsenal to a draw in this match, that’s the end of Arsenal in the champions league this season. When they had the chance in the first leg, they didn’t convert any of the shots to goal and FC Porto in the final minutes took advantage of theirs and turned it into a goal. I know Arsenal were not expecting a lose in that match but as fate has it, they lost and they have to fight back with more goals to get a qualification.

Well, it is not the quality of the team that makes a team better, but more about manager at that point, and the desire of the players too. Mbappe never felt like he was there to win, he was there to show himself, and finally he got what he wanted and he is leaving to Real Madrid at the end of the season, so that's good enough for them.

This match is one that we will love to see especially as those waiting for Inter Milan to have a bad record this season. Inter will sure be defending solidly and hoping they can increase their lead with a very quick counter. That’s the major way they’ll be able to eliminate this Stubborn Athletico Madrid. Athletico Madrid plays same way and pattern as Inter and for that reason this match is going to be evenly played. My prediction is that Inter will be able to go through but they ought to be very careful else they lose it all.

This coming week in going to be a very big week in the champions league,as teams like Arsenal will be hosting FC Porto at home in a must win game for Arsenal,if they are to ever see themselves in the next round of the tournament.They were floged by FC Porto in the first leg,and will be needing two goals to be able to qualify for the next stage which is the quarter final.But to FC Porto,they consider the game over,because if they can just tie them down to a draw,they've already won the game.This will definitely be an interesting game to watch,as Arsenal will try to do magic for them to qualify and break the bad luck of not qualifying from round 16.
