After spending a lot of money for the club, PSG's owners actually want to see the club has Champions League cup in their club's hall. PSG tends to play fearfully against big clubs in Champions League but they can change this attitude and in some matches, it can make big difference to help them winning Champions League.
I don't know what happened to PSG when they even had a lethal attacking trio in their squad but still failed to win the Champions League, nobody doubted the quality of PSG when they still had Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in their front line but when the best players were in their squad but they were still very difficult to get the Champions League trophy for the first time at that time.

For this season, I highly doubt if PSG will be able to get the Champions League trophy just by relying on Mbappe at this time and even after the certainty of mbappe leaving of course mbappe spirit and concentration is now no longer 100% to help psg, with the amount of money that has been spent by psg owners so far of course we can say their project failed, by the way its quite interesting to see what happens to PSG next season, although maybe they will look for other players but most likely will not be able to improve PSG performance later bcause so far it is very difficult to get a striker who is really able to make the teamsmentality improve like Ronaldo and Messi.
This is never been difficult to understand it's never been guaranteed you have huge funds and top players then you can win any title because we have too many examples about this all with most of the time after spending huge funds clubs struggle even they have gone down badly like we have Chelsea and Manchester United with PSG never won because I will blame management about this all they need to stick with good coach and also allow him to do changes as he needed like currently Luis Enrique doing hopefully these will be brought positive changes, and they will be able to have better results in they will be keep faith in him even after exit of the Kylian Mbappé.

For the success and wins in big events we need mentality like we have in Manchester City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan they are allowing their coaches all as they feel better and things are going into their way with success is also coming without any big trouble.

Inter Milan will not let that happen, it will definitely maintain at least a draw for Inter Milan to qualify.
Who would have thought that Cadiz had a 1-0 lead in the first half even though in the second half it would reverse its situation, it would not be surprising anymore.

Back to the Champion League match I don't feel Atletico Madrid will qualify their chances at home are so great but I judge how from Inter Milan's current performance which is so consistent in the Champion League and Serie A, their minds will be distracted to stay focused on the champion league match.

Atletico Madrid's performance this season was very poor and even when they played at home they were not able to maximize every opportunity available, in the first leg, I think Inter Milan played better by controlling every line but indeed Atletico defense at that time was fairly solid so as to reduce the aggressiveness of the attack that InterMilan did throughout the game,  In fact, I think Atletico Madrid playing defense at intermilan home is something that might destroy them in the second leg.

The second leg will indeed be played at home to Atletico, but i think there is no change for Intermilan to not be able to win the game, at the moment the advantage is on Intermilan side and as you said they only need a draw to get them through to the next round, atletico may hope to turn things around when they play at home, but with a performance like now it might be difficult for them to make it happen, as with any other team that plays a relatively attacking scheme, of course Intermilan will do the same at  Atletico Madrid home later, because it seems that attacking is a good way to break the concentration of Atletico Madrid players as they did in the first leg.

I was having high hopes of seeing Atletico madrid took down Inter Milan in this round, but after seeing the first game and the lasts games played by the Atletico Madrid is being more and more difficult to see it happening.

It is quite risky to see Inter's narrow lead from the first leg against Atletico and even though they are favorites to win, playing the second leg at Atletico's home ground will be a problem. Usually Atletico will be more difficult to beat if they are at home and their fans will never stop providing support. I think Atletico could overturn the aggregate lead and if something like that happens, Inter must be prepared for the worst. Inter just needs to strengthen their defense and if they are able to score more goals, it will be difficult for Atletico to catch up on the aggregate goals.
Im scared for Inter's second match against Atletico because its at their home field. Its not like them to play there; their fans make it so exciting that they're like the 12th guy. Yes, I agree that Atletico's home field edge could work against Inter. Inter has a history of beating great teams, like when they beat Liverpool at Anfield even though they were down 3-0 overall. This gives me hope. Under pressure, Inzaghi has pulled off clever masterstrokes. But they need to play even better defense and take advantage of any chance to score more goals. Its going to be very close, but I hope Inter can handle it.
There is no doubt this is going to be one of the most interesting match with both teams are having quality and their performance into their leagues are also impressive, but I have personal feeling it's never been easy for the Atlético Madrid to handle Inter Milan even they are playing at the home because things are not easy for them while they are having not good performance into first leg game even they lost by only 1 goal but still now things can go again on wrong side which will bring them down.

Inter Milan is surely team to watch in last two season with we have them into final against Manchester City where its never been easy for the Citizens to beat them and now again they are doing good job which is helping them for having another good season they are already champions of the Serie A and now their all energy is for the Champions League where they are having good chance as well.

Let's just say Real Madrid was very lucky to save themselves from the game. they were even about to lose this match against Leipzig because of the weak strategy from their coach Carlo Ancelotti, Leipzig had many opportunities in this match and they had the chance to even beat Real Madrid that's why I think Real Madrid should be happy to see 1-1 result in this match.
Leipzig had many shots in target and they had 19 goal opportunities against Real Madrid which is not good for a team the level of Real Madrid at all and this can put Ancelotti under pressure for the next games.

Real played against Leipzig with the same strategy and tactics as the previous games in the league. I couldn't see any real change. Real's problem is that it has a relatively old squad and is in a state of flux. That's enough for the Spanish league to dominate, especially since Barca has also problems. But internationally the weaknesses are clear to see. It will be much more difficult against stronger opponents than Leipzig in the next CL games.

Real Madrid was able to win against Leipzig on aggregate. the final score on aggregate was 2-1. Real Madrid was also able to take advantage of the fact that they had a lead from the first leg. this match was a draw. but Real Madrid was able to win because they had the advantage from the first leg. But the match was definitely not easy for Real Madrid. they had to fight really hard. They played well in this match but the point also gave them a genuine fight. but as I said the advantage that they had going into this match maybe even reassured them that if they just somehow not lose, it is going to be enough. and that put additional pressure on Leipzig.

Arsenal - Porto could be seen as an interesting game maybe because of the first leg result. But I'm not thinking in the same way honestly. It is true Arsenal couldn't play properly in Portugal and deserved to lose like that. However I don't expect Arsenal to repeat the same poor performance at home. If they break Porto defense in the first half already I wouldn't expect good things for Porto in the remaining part of the game.

Arsenal have a huge form. Arteta would like to make some strategical moves in the Brentford game today to keep his main players fit for the second leg in the Champions League. I hope to see them eliminating Porto later on.  Smiley
Since Arsenal coach realized his mistakes in the first leg that resulted to that poor performance, I don't think he will allow such thing to happen again and, he will prepare his players very well to ensure they make the game difficult for Porto not to stop his players not to secure goals that will give them victory.

If Arsenal can achieved victory from their last game in the premier league competition show that they will eliminate Porto from this second leg game to make their coach happy and to be among the teams that will play in the next round in the UEFA champions league.

Never put hope on these average teams because they have signs of trembling fall in any moment of this particular tournament. The UEFA Champions League competition is unpredictable due to the inconsistent performance coming from these elite teams and its left them with doubts. Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid, have been important for both sides but Diego Simeone have failed to beat Simeone Inzaghi who's very optimistic regarding the performance of his club, he needs to be confident enough because there are other winnings to settle for.
I am not agreed as you are calling them average teams for me these both teams are top ranks into their domestic leagues and as well into UEFA competitions because these teams are having rich history and quality and consistency are also into their side for the all seasons even these are having no trophies as much we have for the few others but still these are coming in Champions League every season and giving their best even mostly we have them into top spots like round of the 16 and quarterfinals as well.

Now in this season we have interesting situation like Inter Milan is having only 1 goal lead which is surely not enough but still things are favourable for them to have better performance in second leg and win their spot in next round even Atlético Madrid is also not easy team, but things could be very interesting for the both teams in this match.
all teams that managed to get achievements to qualify for the round of 16 are great teams and they are not average teams, only they have advantages and disadvantages of each of them who have the advantages of the attackers who are very strong and very great defense but on the one hand Inter have weaknesses are often too long to master the ball without attacking faster so that a lot of wasted time should be able to score more scores.
whereas Atletico Madrid has an advantage in the defense that I always value very perfect can always withstand attacks from other large teams but have weaknesses in the attack line that is slightly less than optimal.
from this statement, it has represented all the teams that managed to qualify for this round of 16 although many doubted Atletico Madrid or Inter, but believe it if the two teams have the opportunity to win the UCL title this season even though the chances are very small but luck can give a surprise that cannot be on prediction.

In the Premier League, maybe Arsenal is still the favorite in competing for the trophy, but in the Champions League it is a big competition different to the Premier League. In the Champions League there are still Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan who are still Arsenal's tough challenges, maybe Arsenal can beat Manchester City in the domestic league but as we know, Manchester City's performance in the Champions League is very strong, they are very focused in terms of attack and defense, they are also very strong, so I doubt that if Arsenal faced Manchester City in a different competition, whether Arsenal could beat them.

Fighting and beating Porto in the second leg should be able to prove for Arsenal in the Champions League which is indeed they are underestimated, for now Arsenal must be able to optimize the second leg in order to continue their journey in the Champions League this season, seeing Arsenal's performance in the league which is so very spectacular, of course, is inversely proportional when they played in the first leg and were defeated by Porto in the final minute Match.

What you are saying is true that the atmosphere between the Champions League and the Premier League is very different and maybe even the journey of a club in the Champions League will be more difficult than they play in the league, but somehow when I see Arsenal play at home I am quite sure if Arsenal will be able to beat Porto, Arsenal home record this season is quite good and even they perform quite solid when playing at Emirates Stadium,  I don't think we can underestimate Arsenal just because they lost 1-0 in the first leg, especially when we saw often Arsenal make surprising comebacks when playing at Emirates Stadium so far.
Yes Arsenal have to fight hard to prove to everyone that they are still worthy of competing in the Champions League, Porto is not a club that Arsenal can underestimate, they have experience in the Champions League and have quite a good history so Arsenal must improve their performance not only in domestic league but also in the Champions League so that he is not underestimated. Of course Arsenal is still the favorite club in this round to be able to beat Porto because of Arsenal's good performance in the Premier League for that Arsenal must prove it in the second leg and remain focused so as not to make any mistakes that cause they suffered a defeat like in the first leg, to be honest, it was very painful for Arsenal because they failed to win.

Therefore, every big club is playing optimally here, we can see that Manchester City's performance was inconsistent in the Premier League, while Manchester City's performance was very strong in the Champions League. This is not because Manchester City is having difficulty in their own league, it's just that they are struggling a little hard in the competition. This is so big that it is a little unfocused in the domestic league, but because the Manchester City players have returned they have now returned to their best performance and are quite stable in all competitions.
And yes, I also don't underestimate Arsenal, their performance has been very impressive lately. Especially when they play at home and I'm also quite sure that when Arsenal plays at home they will play strong and I think they will also be able to beat Porto maybe not with score big.

Honestly, for me the PSG with and without Messi looks kind of the same. And I wouldn’t even be surprised if Enrique can achieve approximately the same results with PSG, that PSG achieved in previous seasons. Of course, a lot will be decided on who PSG's next opponent will be, but they have a good team, and Mbappe is indeed a very important player for this team. Remember how long it took Messi to adapt to PSG, how long he could not score, yes, he is a good player, but Mbappe is definitely not weaker.
PSG have only proven themselves in Ligue One but when it comes to UEFA Champions League, that's the particular tournament they find challenging. Why? Because there are anticipation of other elite clubs. Luis Enrique is here to make changes and we should give him breathing space for the game. It's not going to be an easy run but let's take proper look of what he's capable of. PSG have been down with Leo Messi with them but without Messi, they become promising in elite competition and they're aiming to reach the UCL final this season, who's stopping them? Probably other elite opponents can.

PSG's failure after failure in the Champions League is a very sad story. How could it not be, they spent so much money in order to build a dream team but everything is not commensurate with what they can get in the Champions League, or it could be considered that it is all a disproportionate waste.

It is clearly not easy to bring together many star players in one team, because it will clearly provide a lot of potential for why the team cannot have strong chemistry. What is clear is that there will always be a possibility that the strategy given by the coach cannot be carried out well by all the players because star players tend to have big egos and that can damage team harmony.

For Arsenal and PSG, winning the Champions League is their biggest dream since founding the club and it would be a historic moment for these two teams if they could win their first title in the Champions League. Apart from that, I also don't forget Atletico, who have repeatedly been regulars in the semifinals or even finals, only they were always unlucky at that time.

Currently there are 8 teams that have not confirmed their place in the next round. Of course they are all the best teams in Europe at the moment. But I don't think we can decide that before the remaining 8 teams finish their games. Currently I predict Arsenal, Barcelona, Dortmund and Inter will qualify. This is just my prediction and I am not underestimating any other team. PSV is playing very well in the league and Napoli is also at the same level as Barcelona. But I think Dortmund and Barca as hosts will have an advantage because they are playing at their own home.
Dortmund, Inter, Barcelona and one more hope that in the 2nd leg Arsenal can turn things around and come out ahead. So far I am betting on these 4 teams to qualify following Bayern Munich, PSG, Madrid and Man City, that way we will be much more exciting in the phase towards the top 4 with strong opponents. It all comes back to the motivation of each team because usually there are unexpected clubs, it could be PSV or Porto because we find it difficult to predict the atmospheric conditions on the field which often provide surprises.

I don't think PSG encountered any positive changes when Messi was introduced to the team because they only won the league trophy as usual but no champions league trophy which was the major reason why he was introduced to the team and since leaving the team it's been the same thing they have been trying to get better in the champions league games as they are currently among the teams in the round of 8 and they are still the favorite in the French ligue1. I think Mbappe has been the better player who has made so many good impact in the PSG team maybe because of his age and how fast he is as he is one of the fastest players so far so I think the PSG team has always chosen Mbappe more than any other players they have had recently and his performance as the highest goal scorer and the best player of his team keeps speaking even as we wait carefully to the next game in the champions league to see the team that will be up against PSG.

Manchester City was more consistent last season than this season, and they beat the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to reach last season's UEFA Champions League. There is a possibility that Inter Milan can beat Manchester City this season if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League final because they have improved their performance.
Yes, you are right in the fact that Manchester City still doesn't look good in their back line so they often concede goals, but I believe everyone needs a process to adapt, especially as there are new players filling in at their back line, it's not that easy to adapt quickly, they need good communication. on the field to be able to maintain the team's strength, specifically in the back line so that they don't concede goals easily, Manchester City may realize that they often have gaps that are easy to penetrate and that must be fixed.

I'm not sure Inter Milan will make it to the UCL final this season because last season they didn't have a tough enough journey compared to Manchester City who had to face Munich and Madrid to reach the final. If Inter Milan were in Manchester City's position of course they would be eliminated at the start by Madrid or Munich before reaching the final, I admit that Inter Milan's strength is quite good in the domestic league but they have to face the strongest clubs in the UCL which they probably won't be able to get rid of, especially the class of Madrid and Munich which could get rid of them before they reach the UCL final in this season.
Yes, maybe Manchester City has a back line that is not that good but at least Manchester City still has an attack line that is proven to be strong in putting pressure on the opposing team, in my opinion Manchester City still has a good chance in the UCL even though their performance in the PL is not very convincing because they still under Liverpool but in the UCL they won't let consistency stop them as evidenced by their performance against Copenhagen they are still quite strong and their back line doesn't concede many goals.

Why not sure? this is still possible because Inter Milan's performance is very good this season. Maybe you see that Inter Milan is not as strong as Madrid, Man City and Munich, but that doesn't mean they can be underestimated. We also don't know what will happen in the future, while Madrid and Munich themselves don't either. so consistent in the UCL so Inter Milan still has a chance to advance to the final.

I predict Dortmund, Barcelona, Inter and FC Porto will qualify into the round. The reason is simple, they're stronger or leading than their opponents.

Taking Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich also into account, PSG's job would be really difficult against most of these teams. Especially against Real Madrid and Manchester City I find PSG's chance lower compared to the other potential competitors.
PSG is like Barcelona, they can beat mediocre teams, but they're the weakest among the strongest teams. Even they have many qualify players, it's not enough because football is a team play, not just an individual skill.

Let's think about what PSG can do in the quarter finals depending on their competitor. My potential candidates to qualify among the remaining teams are like:

- Arsenal (I know they lost the first leg but I expect things to be way different at Emirates.  Smiley)
- Barcelona (I didn't like Napoli in the first leg at all. I expect Barcelona to be one step ahead.)
- Inter (Their job is the toughest one among the others.  Sad  But I hope to see them advancing after a tough fight against Atletico Madrid.)
- Dortmund (They already have a potential to win in the first leg. They are playing better in the CL.)

Taking Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich also into account, PSG's job would be really difficult against most of these teams. Especially against Real Madrid and Manchester City I find PSG's chance lower compared to the other potential competitors.
