What more of an update do you need when it was said that he is missing the next game and then he will be back as soon as the season resumes after the little break? That is what someone posted here as it was Martinez himself who gave an update as it seems. On some websites it is said that he is expected to be back immediately by the beginning of January, so in a worst case scenario he would be missing the game against Genoa and that's it. I am sure they wouldn't take any risks, but he is not a player who is known for being injured a lot.

You think PSG will go far in this quarter finals stage, if you look at their performance in their group from the beginning of the tournament, you will know that there are many strong teams that will frustrate their plan not to lift the trophy. As long as he will comeback again in a short time and it will be a serious problem for sure. Lautaro martinez has become one of most important player this season. It's caused by a lot of goals owned by intermilan scored by him.

It's not a bad opinion and you have a reason to say it, for me the main strength of Real Sociedad is in defense, maybe in the group stage Real Sociedad can rely on defensive games to continue to collect points but in round 16 the elimination system will be applied this means that it is not enough to rely on defense each team must collaborate between attacks and defense so who is better? It seems to me it is fair to say that at this stage there are no easy teams to face, there are a few teams that could be ahead of others like Real Madrid, but if PSG players do not give it all they could lose against Real Sociedad if they are not careful, plus Real Sociedad will have the advantage of holding the second leg of the round of 16 on their stadium, meaning that PSG is forced to get a positive result on their stadium, and if they fail to do this their chances to move to the quarterfinals will seriously drop.

I would be more careful with your wording about Real Sociedad. Inter Milan was not able to beat them at the Guiseppe-Meazza-Stadium and Real Sociedad was the team with more ball possession, which is really tough to do against Inter Milan when they play at home.

In La Liga they are not quite as good this season as I expected them to be, but still beating them is hard. Whenever they lose those games are tight games. I would not think that PSG will have two easy games against them.

In my opinion, Real Sociedad will not be able to compete with PSG in the round of 16 of the Champions League because PSG has more experienced players than Real Sociedad. This does not mean that because they are performing well in the league, they will be able to defeat PSG because PSG is a big club, but they do not have a talented coach like Guardiola or Ancelotti who can help them win the Champions League trophy, because PSG qualifies for the competition every season but fails to defeat others big clubs and win the trophy, and I don't think they can still win this season because when Messi and Neymar are at the club, they are supposed to win the trophy, but they failed to defeat Real Madrid in the Champions League which I believe was their best chance that year, because they are in good shape and deserve to beat Madrid. Let's see how they play in round 16 versus Real Sociedad to see whether they can compete and advance to the next round because anything can happen.

The comeback can become unpredictable for PSG who had a narrow escape in UCL Group F. Paris Saint-Germain qualify with significant points and the same thing goes with Real Sociedad. PSG have become very competitive than ever before, who knows, this might be their chance of winning the UEFA Champions League title. I've learn to never underestimate any club in the UCL because I believe every club have equal right of winning their opponents. Real Sociedad doesn't have the quality to withstand PSG but they can atleast try their best to hold on the club, I know PSG will not take things easy on the other end.

After Paris Saint Germain failed to finish as the winners of the group F in the UEFA Champions League group stage, I thought they were gonna face one of the strongest teams in the competition when the draw for the first knockout stage is out but surprisingly to me, they got a fair draw as they'll be playing Spanish club Real Sociedad in the round of 16.
That been said, I don't think it'll be a good idea for Paris Saint German players and manager to ever underestimate the strength of the Spanish club when they meet each other in February. Football is a game that's full of surprises and if you consider how good Real Sociedad are, I think they have the needed quality of players to shock PSG if given the chance.
