After last night's match, there were 4 additional teams that made it through to the round of 16 and those were Atletico, Barcelona, Dortmund and Lazio. All teams won the match with convincing scores and I think these four teams really deserve a place in the next round. Maybe we should fully appreciate the performance of Dortmund who managed to escape from the hell group and they are currently at the top of group F with 10 points after successfully overthrowing Milan at the San Siro.

Apart from that, there were Altetico and Lazio who simultaneously qualified from Group E with a landslide of points which knocked Feyenoord and Celtic out of the Champions League. However, for Barcelona, this is the first time they have been able to advance to the last 16 after 2 previous seasons they failed to reach the last 16 and had to end up in the European league. The Blaugrana have certainly learned from previous experiences and do not want the same results to be repeated. As one of the big teams in the competition, Barcelona should do better.

It is very possible that Borussia Dortmund will not play with full strength in the sixth match of the Champions League because before competing in this match they will face three tough matches in the Bundesliga and DFB Cup against Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Leipzig, and the matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Leipzig will be very important for Their position is in the top four of the Bundesliga standings, so I actually see something different where PSG will have a better chance together with Dortmund to qualify from the group phase by maximizing the last match to get three points.
It was quite unfortunate to see that PSG only drew against Newcastle even though they controlled the entire match, but the resolution always failed because Newcastle's defense was very good, and PSG was helped by a penalty in the final minutes of the match.

The results from yesterday's games have made Group F very complicated. Borussia Dortmund has already qualified so they have nothing to worry about except they have the goal of occupying the number one spot of the group. Coach Edin Terzic might decide to rest some key players in the last game against PSG which might allow the Parisians to win the game. It will be difficult for PSG to win against Dortmund at home in Signal Iduna Park in Germany, but PSG will do everything possible to win the game because the winning UEFA Champions League have always been their lifetime aspiration. We might see the best of Kylian Mbappé in that game. Newcastle held the game till the extra time when PSG got that lucky penalty. They would have had their qualification destiny in their hand if they had gotten that win which would have taken them to eight points.

Now both Milan and Newcastle will have to rely on the outcome of the PSG-Dortmund game to qualify for the next round. A draw or PSG loss in Germany will be what both teams aspire for, as they hope to get three points. I was more surprised about AC Milan's loss in San Siro after such a beautiful goal from Samuel Chukwueze.  

Newcastle United is an average team that has shown a massive improvement from last season and many think they’re not a big team because they have been performing like the big guns and get good results on a large scale. They almost ran a double over PSG last night but were disappointed with the controversial VAR decision to give PSG a penalty. I know they will feel only the pain and the disappointment in the wake of this contest.

Honestly, it was another night of progress for Newcastle. This was another night of growth, another occasion to further deepen that growing sense that they actually belong on this stage. With the draw yesterday, I feel Newcastle remain alive in the Champions League with a game to go and, in a group of death, there is much to cherish about that. It’s a good away result even though the penalty was a bitter pill. I think they can still qualify. They’ll have to win AC Milan with more than 1 goal, for them to stand a chance.  They only need to win and hope that PSG doesn't get a draw Vs Dortmund.

I think Dortmund and PSG will qualify for the next round. Dortmund have already qualified for the knockout rounds. And their next match is against PSG. This match is not very important for Dortmund. PSG also played well against Dortmund in the 1st leg and won 2-0. Even if PSG can draw against Dortmund, they will be able to finish second in the table. It is difficult to predict which team will win the Milan vs Newcastle match. Newcastle are in good form, while the Milan team is quite experienced. However, all three teams still have a chance to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Last night's Champions League results have given us a clearer picture of the teams likely to advance to the next round, including Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Dortmund, and Barcelona.

In Group E, Atletico Madrid faced Feyenoord as the away team. The Spanish representative didn't play better than the home team but still secured a 3-1 victory. Meanwhile, Lazio capitalized on the home advantage to defeat Celtic 2-0, with 22 shots but only converting two of them in the late minutes by substitute Ciro Immobile.

In Group F, the "group of death," AC Milan and Dortmund engaged in an intense match. Both sides took a total of 29 shots, but the German representative was more effective. Marco Reus, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Karim Adeyemi scored for Dortmund, while Samuel Chukwueze netted the only goal for the home team.

Dortmund advanced with 10 points, surpassing the third-placed Newcastle by 5 points. In the final match, coached by Edin Terzic, they need a draw against PSG to secure the top spot. The French team must win to secure a place in the next round, with the two trailing teams just 2 points behind.

In Group H, Barcelona secured a spot in the next round after defeating Porto 2-1. Pepe opened the scoring for the visitors in the 30th minute. Portuguese duo Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix shone for the home team at Camp Nou, leading them to a comeback victory.

Barcelona has 12 points, ahead of Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk by 3 points. In the final match, they face Antwerp, needing just 1 point to top the group after the group stage.

If there are no surprises, I think that after this match, the scenario is that Bayern will continue to maintain their position in the group against the remaining opponents. Actually, I really like MU, but frankly looking at the fact that this season they are in bad form with what they are performing, I am not too optimistic about their ability to continue, and even If it happens, MU will not be able to compete for a higher position in the tournament, perhaps this comeback is not well prepared.
Anyway, this is still an interesting match and we look forward to the upcoming results.

These UCL matches are easier to predict, I'll be playing some few tickets today, probably 2-3 inother to grab significant winnings from the system. I already know the teams that will access simple three points without struggles and the ones that actually do. Let's just hope our predictions tend to become accurate. Copenhagen facing Bayern Munich, this is not even a game we should consider, mere looking the fixtures, we boldly can tell the team that will win and the ones that will lose, that's football. Bayern Munich are on fire as they're keen on been on streak winnings in all games played.

With Newcastle having 5 points, 2 points behind PSG, they must win against Milan to have any hope of progressing. The situation of this club is challenging. After the match, it was referee Marciniak who put the Newcastle team in their current situation. As an underrated team during their away trip to France, coach Eddie Howe's team showed why they deserve to appear in the Champions League this season. If luckier, Newcastle can altogether leave Parc des Princes with a victory.
If they win against Dortmund, PSG will take first place. Dortmund defeated AC Milan 3-1 to win the first ticket from Group F to the Champions League knock-out round. And in the final match, PSG will compete with Newcastle and Milan for the remaining access. PSG is the team with the advantage, with 7 points after 5 games. PSG has a gap of 2 points compared to Newcastle and AC Milan. But PSG, Newcastle, and Milan. Every team still has a chance to advance to the knockout round of the Champions League this year. And that helps the final match of Group F remain attractive.

I have no doubt that Bayern Munich will continue their winning streak, unless they are very unlucky. They have won all four matches in the Champions League. Copenhagen is not a strong team. Moreover, it is Bayern Munich's home match. So Munich is very unlikely to lose points in this match.
Manchester United's performance is poor. The bond between the players is not good. Manchester United lost three out of four matches. An away match against Galatasaray is more difficult for United to win. I think this match is more likely to be a draw. Munich and Galatasaray from Group A are more likely to qualify for the knockout rounds.

I have high hopes for PSG in this match. Initially I thought PSG would avenge their defeat by Newcastle in the first match by winning yesterday's match. But I was wrong because even though PSG continues to control the game, we can see that Newcastle has more effective playing skills so far. They continued to be pressured but were able to continue to survive and maintain their 1 goal lead. Unfortunately, 1 goal from a penalty obtained by PSG completely destroyed Newcastle's hopes of getting full points in this match. But PSG getting a draw as hosts feels a little unbelievable. But this really proves that clubs from the Premier League are always strong, even when Newcastle, which is currently not in its best performance, was still able to hold PSG to a draw. Mbappe also missed too many opportunities in this match. And it looks like Newcastle cannot be underestimated. Even though they have minimal experience in the UCL, being able to make things difficult for PSG is an extraordinary achievement.

I think, Bayern Munich stand on a solid ground to maintain the top to lead in this group A, because they are capable to achieve victory from FC Copenhagen in this match to make their fans believe that they have what it takes to be among the teams that will qualify for this champions league competition. Manchester united results are very poor in this group A, which it will make them not to be among the teams that will qualify from this group A, because their position is very low. Galatasaray will use this Manchester united result in this group A, to fight them, and they will embrace victory at the end of the match.

Yep. Newcastle managed to deliver an early pre Christmas package to PSG! Theae are the kinda things that happens when you try to underestimate a team and if you had seen the game, you'd notice that PSG gave it to Newcastle good in terms of accurate passes, counter attacks and the rest and to a point almost came close to scoring a goal through Mbappe but it was missed.
Alexander Isak's goal in the 24' was all the morale booster they needed and honestly, I knew they won't be able to keep that goal and was hoping they would score another to solidify their win, because if there's something PSG is good at especially in a crucial game as this is a comeback.
 In their group F, group of death as I'd like to call it, thanks to this draw ,Newcastle has managed to drive their way to 3rd  place beneath leaders PSG and leaders Dortmund and thanks to AC Milan losing to Dortmund, they managed to secure a spot in the Europa. All hope's not entirely lost.
A good game I must say and quite impressive for them who haven't tasted champions league action since the 2003/04 season.

In my opinion, the winner of the Newcastle-Milan match will advance to the UCL. Borussia had great momentum and won 2 matches against Newcastle. Despite playing away against Milan, they won 3-1. They are in great form and if they play with their normal squad they can of course beat PSG. That's why the Newcastle-Milan match is of greater importance.

No matter how consistent PSG are in the champions league (in appearance) they're still weak when they come to face a team that has the same strength as them. And with that alone it shows that the PSG side are never a good competitors, they're just there to complete the number of teams in the UCL.
Honestly the injury Newcastle had didn't really affect them instead they became stronger than before, but is best to have your complete team than losing them to injury. Chelsea has never been a better team compared some other teams Newcastle has faced especially PSG, so I'd give Newcastle a thumbs up for their recent performance.

It was truly an interesting match that shocked a lot of people. Who would have believed that PSG that destroyed Borussia Dortmund two goals to nil will not be able to win Newcastle either home or away considering the fact that Dortmund won Newcastle? This is one twist in football that makes the sporting event unique and help the Bookies remain in profits.

Now PSG is in tight corner because if they failed to win their next match against Borussia Dortmund and either of Newcastle or AC Milan wins in their next encounter, they are out of the competition.  PSG has continued to disapoint many who thought they were a strong side considering the quality of players they have.

Barcelona can breathe a sigh of relief after finishing the match in Match 5 with a win. Xavi Hernandez team not only qualified for the last 16, the additional three points gained after an already tough win over Porto made them group winners. Barcelona can be more relaxed in Match 6 when facing Royal Antwerp, Barcelona has a H2H lead over both Porto and Shakhtar.
Xavi can rotate in this match because whatever the result in the last match is no longer affected because if the points are the same, it is H2H that is assessed, then only the goals are aggregated. Porto, who had just been defeated by Barcelona, had to play a life and death match in the last match versus Shakhtar to qualify for the last 16.

Apart from Barcelona, which managed to secure tickets to the last 16, several other teams also qualified for the last 16 after winning the 5th match. In Group E, Lazio and Atletico managed to qualify, while group F was given the title of hell group, only Dortmund was guaranteed to qualify, while the other 3 teams PSG, Newcastle and Milan had to fight in the last match. Two tickets in Group G have been secured by Manchester City and Leipzig. Even though Leipzig lost to Manchester City, the number of points collected by Leipzig cannot be caught by Young Boys who are in third place.

There is a big chance for Newcastle United or Ac Milan to qualify for the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League because Paris Saint-German will find it difficult to beat Borussia Dortmund at home, the highest result PSG can get from Borussia Dortmund is a draw match. Newcastle United stands a better chance of reaching the last Uefa Champions League because they had a better head-to-head against PSG, Newcastle United needs to win against AC Milan, while Borussia Dortmund and PSG should end in a draw match.

There is only one match left in the UCL group phase qualification, of all the teams divided into 8 groups, there are many teams that can definitely qualify for the last 16.
Even though there is still one match remaining, several teams that are certain to qualify are indeed the top teams in each group who have quite significant advantages.
Those who have been confirmed to have passed are,
- Group A Bayern Munich and second between Galatasaray and Copenhagen, they each have the same points, namely 4 and are waiting for the results of the last match to determine who will qualify with Bayern Munich.
- Group B Arsenal and those in second place will also still be up for grabs in the final match between PSV and Lens who have the same points, namely 5.
- Group C Real Madrid and Napoli.
- Group D Real Sociedad and also Inter Milan.
- Group E Atletico Madrid and Lazio.
- Group F Dortmund and in second place are still being contested by three teams in the last match, namely PSG, Newcastle and Milan.
- Group G Manchester City and Leipzig.
- Group H Barcelona and for second place will still be contested by Porto and Shakhtar who both have 9 points.

Congratulations to several team who have been confirmed to qualify for the round of 16.

Newcastle has really improved now since the beginning of the season but no one expected them to locked head with Paris especially at their home ground. It was very unfortunate that that they were not able to go away with the complete three points because of that late penalty. The truth is PSG seems to be overhyped in their domestic league perhaps, because it's a collection of average teams and they keep on dominating year in and year out. Premier league teams always prove themselves outside unless when they are totally not in form. We all don't expect such performance from Newcastle in that group when the fixtures were released at first but they are proving everyone wrong. Although their chances of qualifying to next round is very slim and securing a win in the next game against Milan is not enough to determine that unless PSG lose against Dortmund which is likely possible to happen but time shall tells.
