I was really happy to see Icardi in the starting eleven today. He scored a lovely penalty goal by a panenka as well.

Galatasaray's performance was indeed incredible in the first half. But they must have maintained the same effort during the whole match. Because it was really working against Bayern Munich.

I don't remember seeing Bayern Munich this desperate for a long while. They even tried to play for time. Maybe they won by this score but it is misleading. I don't even think Tuchel is satisfied with their performance. Maybe they will finish the group stage in first place but this performance wouldn't be enough to be competitive for the title.

I really didn't see this coming. Galatasaray showed an extraordinarily good performance in the first half. It was literally one-sided. Bayern Munich were struggling too much and had only one goal attempt which ended up by a goal. They were even lucky that Galatasaray wasted numerous chances in that half. Kerem Akturkoglu wasted a 100% goal chance for example as it was empty net.

But the second half wasn't the same. Galatasaray couldn't manage to maintain the same ambition throughout this half. This was a big opportunity for Bayern Munich and they benefited from their experience later on. Galatasaray gave so many spaces to them and lost by 3-1 as a result. Sad

The match could have even ended the other way around if Galatasaray were more accurate on their shots.
