We will see interesting matches in group phase. There will be more matches, so every team will be busy. Honestly, this will force more the players to keep their fitness. With more matches, the chance of getting injured will be higher. It is expected that the coach can rotate the players more often. The new format makes the coaches of the teams to optimize their second tier players, too.

Three main potential big changes for UEFA, clubs and players in my thinking.

UEFA will get richer with more matches, more income from UEFA Champions League and from television rights.

Biggest and richest clubs will become bigger and richer by money from television rights and their performances in next seasons. Perform better, go far each season will help biggest and richest clubs gain more income.

Players will have to play more matches that will cause bigger risk of exhaustion and injuries. These problems will cause bigger effects on national teams and star players will struggle to be healthy, perform well in big tournaments like World Cup, Euro and Coppa America.

Expecting a lot from Liverpool made sense until now, but I think it's time to realize that things aren't as good as it used to be. They do not play with some of the great players that they used to have, and that is understandable, plus they lost Klopp, plus Salah is on the edge, maybe he could leave too.

When you think about all those, who are they going to win the league with? Nunez? Of course not, the fact that they finished third with the current squad shows that if this squad is third, next years squad most probably will be much worse and I think it is going to be something that will take a while and I do not think that we are going to see anything change. In the end, they are going to be good one day again, just not seeing that soon.

Indeed, if you look at it, it looks like Liverpool will have difficulty competing in the upcoming UCL (2024-2025) because looking at Liverpool's performance in the EPL which is nearing the end of the season, their performance is not good. and indeed Klopp's departure from Liverpool will definitely make Liverpool players have to adapt again to their new coach. namely Arne Slot and yes, if for example Salah left Liverpool it would most likely make Liverpool confused because in my opinion M. Salah is a player that Liverpool needs because of his good performance.

but of course I personally see Liverpool making progress because they got a ticket to the 2024-2025 UCL. Of course the supporters will also be happy because when compared to the Champions League 2023-2024 season, of course Liverpool did not participate because they failed to finish in 4th place in the EPL, but Liverpool in the 2023-2024 season is experiencing progress. because he finished in 4th place in the EPL which earned him a ticket to the UCL for the 2024-2025 season, but yes, hopefully Arne Slot can make Liverpool a good even with the existing players.

but of course in the UCL the competition is certainly very exciting but of course it doesn't rule out the possibility that Liverpool will perform well in the UCL 2024-2025 season because sometimes match results are always difficult to predict.

As Doomloop observed, Liverpool just changed their coach, you don't expect them to continue with the momentum of Klopp. It is possible that the momentum could and if care not taken, drop low before they could rise again.
Jurgen Klopp have served the Reds and also making good style and records with them, he did his best for Liverpool, atleast we've watched him lifting major trophies with Liverpool and also helping them becoming one of the top fierce EPL elite team in the world of European football.

Liverpool new coach, Arne Slot will be one of the promising coach for Liverpool but all he needs is patience because he's new to Liverpool system and the new coach have his own style to implement. The momentum of Liverpool will balance, it's all just a matter of time.

Next season's Champions League will likely still be dominated by Real Madrid, although I also don't doubt other teams such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
When it comes to football, no club should be underestimated. Real Madrid won the last Champions League, and I am sure they will also do everything in their power to win the next Champions League, but the season hasn’t started yet, and we don’t know how each club will perform. Don’t be surprised if you see Real Madrid's performance drop by next season, other teams might be performing better than them. So before I make any predictions on the club that will be winning, I will have to wait till the season starts and see the performance of each club.

Even Perez has guaranteed Real Madrid fans that he will return with the next UCL trophy after madrid owned the current season of UCL. Mbappe has become Real Madrid's main weapon for the upcoming season in order to defend the UCL for so many seasons. I am convinced Madrid will win the competitions again shortly considering how strong the club is right now and having mbappe is a key to defend real madrid's trophy. No doubt about it, given Real Madrid's current level of competence is higher than any clubs in UCL. The club is still performing admirably at the present.

I'm glad to see that Mbappe chose Real Madrid as his destination and is now in the correct position. I'm just hoping that Mbappe can have extremely excellent chemistry. It will be incredible to see Mbappe scoring a lot of goals next season. Still hoping that mbappe would not be another flop.
He deserves to play for the best team in the world, like Real Madrid. As a club that has won the UCL three times in a row, we will not doubt Real Madrid's ability to defend the trophy. I'm confident that Madrid will win UCL next season.
Mbappe was the top scorer in the French league. Let's see how he does in La Liga and UCL with his new squad soon.

To be honest, I didn't know Arne Slot before. But that's not a problem in my opinion because I personally don't know many coaches apart from a few names that often appear in the sports media. But we can't expect Klopp to gain momentum. Liverpool have changed to a new coach and I think it will take some time before they get momentum back. I doubt Liverpool will be one of the favorites in the UCL next season. I didn't expect much from the first season with Arne Slot. It's not easy to regain momentum in your first year.

This could be Arne Slot’s first year coaching Liverpool but that doesn't mean he can’t make them to go so far in the champions league or make them stand separate from other teams in terms of performance and quality. I know that we shouldn’t be expecting that much from him and at the same time, we should also give him some sense of hope to make the team better in his first year. Xabi Alonso did that in the Bundesliga with Bayern Leverkusen and it worked out for them well. We are not expecting much from him but if he does, that shows he’s the right choice for the club and will take the club so far in the premier league title and also other competitions they’ll be participating in next season.

UCL favourite that ihave come across in recent time don't have Liverpool amongst to four teams and it's very obvious and clear that it's due to the fact that they are no longer having klop as their head coach as they had before now, I believe that Liverpool will still get back to their form since they still have . most of their players staying back but then it will only take them some time to get that done.

By this it becomes very clear how much a coach can mean to a team, klop meant a whole it to Liverpool just like guardiola and Areteta mean to Manchester city and Arsenal, another have to be Leverkusen, if they have xabi moving to another team, they are obviously going to have some challenges in the team but then they will try to see how well they can cope with their new coach actually. The UCL has always been very popular because of the level of competition it's been known for over the years but then Liverpool will try their best and I believe their new coach will be able to build on the legacies of their former Coach.

In the champions league they may not come out the best or even appear like one of the best but they still can get to the point where they will be able to still contend well enough amongst their equals in the champions league as at this point they can't be considered a mediocre or an underdog just yet,. Liverpool still have that chance if only they are able to quickly cope and get used to their new coach both in his style, strategy and tactics.

Considering unbelievable achievement of Dortmund success qualified to UEFA Champion League final in this season I think always has unpredictable teams will lead to final round for next season not only dominance by top teams. In this season, Dortmund success defeating many top teams and lead the first standings position group make them over confidence for success lead until final round.
Of course, it is unpredictable because there are many other stronger teams. However, it is a football match, a surprise will be always possible even if it is in UCL. Besides Real Madrid, everyone expects Man City, PSG, Inter, Bayern, or Arsenal to play in the final. But in reality, Dortmund is the team that can reach the final and play against Real Madrid. However, I think it won't be easy for Dortmund to reach the final again in the next season. There will be more teams in UCL and other teams look stronger.

I see Real Madrid more confidence for opportunity winning the Champion League next season after arriving Kylian Mbappe and the history of Madrid achievement with three Champion League consecutives winning last two season.
Indeed. Mbappe is the ideal striker for Real Madrid. He is expected to replace the role of Benzema who has moved to Al Ittihad. After too many drama, finally Real Madrid can sign Mbappe for 5 years. No doubt Real Madrid will play more confident in the next season because they have a new machine goal now. Personally, I will favor Real Madrid to win the UCL trophy again.  Grin

But I doubt with UEFA Champion League season 2024-25 have new format and how possibilities each teams keep consistent on every match, they have 8 matches in phase round and its not easy for top teams how to manage many matches in Champion League after new format adopting than usually has six matches only on phase round. Its need time for all teams adopt with new Champion League season 2024-25 format and keep playing well in domestic league.
We will see interesting matches in group phase. There will be more matches, so every team will be busy. Honestly, this will force more the players to keep their fitness. They've literally just had this coach and manager come into the club, we'll have to give him like a season or two to settle down completely. I've read how he is a good coach.
No news has been said about Mo Salah, I will even consider him a Liverpool legend over most of these players who must have played for th club.
The statistics are their you can check them out if they're wrong or correctly said.

Nunez is not that bad, he just needs to calm down, this is a player Ronaldo rates. He will have to be hardworking and smart so he can be ahead and catch up with the likes of those that has successfully played for the club and for the Liverpool badge.

The Champions League Competition would be difficult to predict honestly. Let's take it one-step at a time.

Your opinion about the new coach and players at the club, I share your views about them. They have just welcomed this new coach to the club, which means they need time to adapt, let's give them a season or two before passing judgment completely. I have heard positive things about his coaching abilities.

There is no question about Mo Salah; I would even call him a Liverpool legend when compared to various other players who have worn the club's uniform. The numbers support this claim, feel free to verify it for your own assurance.

And it's true with what you said that Nunez isn't that bad either. He just needed to find his calm and dedicate himself completely. Ronaldo rates him as a player, so he must be promising. If Nunez applies himself with intelligence and perseverance, there is no reason why he cannot carve his own path to success like other great players at Liverpool.

With such high expectations from their fans every season, I think Liverpool have to give everything if they don't want to repeat the same bad season next season. Therefore, once they experience a deadlock, everything must be anticipated well and not let it continue.

In the Champions League they will still be a team to be reckoned with and with the depth of their existing squad they can still face other strong teams. It's possible that if they have to meet Real Madrid in the knockout round, it will be a nightmare for them considering that every time they meet against Real Madrid they won't be able to continue to the next round. Arne Slot must really learn how to overcome rivals Liverpool or other strong opponents so that he can achieve maximum results in his debut season.

While it lasted, Liverpool were undoubtedly one of the best clubs in not just England but in the whole Europe but in the last two seasons, they've actually noy been the Liverpool we used to know between 2018/19 to 2021/22 seasons. Some of the big players who were the reason behind their success of those years left the club and the ones who were still with them stopped performing at the top of their strength. Jurgen Klopp announced he was gonna leave the club at the end of last season of which he did and the club went on to announce another new manager who'll take over from him.
Arne Slot who's the new manager of Liverpool have a lot of work to do if he truly wants to return them to where they belong. Mohammed Salah who's undoubtedly been the club's best player in the last decade isn't performing at the top of his strength again probably because of age. I think the club really needs to sign a lot of players in the summer in order to become competitive for next season.

Adding to what has been responded to you, which day status of Liverpool for the past few seasons, I no longer see them as serious contenders for the Champions League. The lost their ability to contest effectively in the Champions League when they lost Sadio mané. Real Madrid signed Mbappe, the most wanted player in the world. Superstars abound on their roster, and a museum could hold all of their awards. They're the favorites to win now. Still, hold on. Not yet final. Man, Kroos and Nacho are gone. They were the team's soul. There will be a change even if Real Madrid has young players ready to mature. Created chemistry in this sport takes time. An further complication will be the Champions League framework change the following year. Real Madrid is undoubtedly the team to beat. Never undervalue the power of an underdog. These hungry squads, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, PSG, can beat anybody. There is going to be chaos this season

Since the announcement of Mbappe as a new player in Real Madrid, a lot of us have assumed that Real Madrid will be unbeatable because of their squad and how strong they can be this coming season with the type of squad depth they have. Not just now you mentioned about Kroos in specific who had already left the club, the space he has left in that midfield needs to be taken over by an experience midfielder. I know he has a replacement already and have played and watched how Kroos handled that midfield during his time in the club, but that is not still convincing enough to make them suitable for that position and make the team not lacking in that position. There will definitely be changes in that midfield and a lot of lapses too, if they don’t cover up much those lapses, that will be their weak point that opponents will use to penetrate them despite having this formidable squad.

Yeah it is better to mention the new format as of 2024 season also.  Smiley

  • There is no more group stage, it is going to be rather a league just as in its name.  Grin
  • There are going to be 36 teams instead of 32.
  • Every team are going to play against 8 different teams, half of them home games and the rest is away.
  • Top 8 finishers are qualifying for last 16 directly. The teams placed from 9th to 24th are playing a two-legged playoffs to earn their way through last 16. The remaining teams in the league are eliminated.
  • There is no more dropping to the Europa League as of now.

Source: UEFA Official Website

The new format looks interesting but it is likely to be fun for now I think. But will this matter for Real Madrid after signing Mbappe? I don't think so.  Cheesy

The new format of the Champions League is definitely interesting. And I think we can expect some surprises in this new format. But it is probably still going to be the same for Real Madrid because it is actually not much about the formats, it is about the quality of the team. And when it comes to the Champions League, Real Madrid has the best quality. I don’t see how this format is going to certainly make things very difficult for Real Madrid. Also with the level of the squad that Real Madrid has, they are not going to face too much difficulties than they were already facing recently. That’s gonna happen for at least the next two or three years.

Real Madrid shouldn't just be the focus here. I had already forgotten that UEFA had already implemented a new format for the champions League. This post just reminded me right away. The new format is very interesting and more especially it compromises more clubs. That is from 32 to 36. Then, what I really don't like about the new format is that champions League teams won't fall back to the Europa League.

There's this vibe and spice that the champions league teams add to Europa when they fall off from the champions League. The speculation will now be, will the original Europa clubs win the cup or those who came from the champions league will. That speculation has been keeping Europa League interesting for so many years.

Real Madrid team favorites for next season's Champions League. They have won the title this season and Real Madrid Management is strengthening the squad next season. Real Madrid's Champions League is most likely to dominate next season. However, teams like Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool will also fight for the Champions League next season. At the same time, the Inter Milan team has continued to try to increase its strength. However, it is not possible to guess what the Barcelona team will do. The club is in financial crisis. So no new talented player they are likely to add to the squad.
Next season's Champions League will likely still be dominated by Real Madrid, although I also don't doubt other teams such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool. But because this is the Champions League it doesn't just rely on the squad, but also relies on the winning mentality of each team. Of course, those who will continue to dominate the league throughout the season will still focus on Real Madrid, especially if at this time the team has succeeded in bringing in great players into its squad which will add to Real Madrid's coffers for the better.

With Mbappe they will become a better team. No team other than Manchester City can stop them. When these two teams meet before the final, it's an early final. Apart from them, Arsenal can turn into an ambitious team. With Arteta, they are becoming a better team every year. After a few good signings, they can become a better team. Of course, it is a bit early to talk now. But I'm sure these teams are the favorites of the majority.

Also, I have this observation. Arsenal and Manchester City are in fierce competition with each other in the Premier League. And they tire each other out in the league. But Real Madrid are in a very easy race in La Liga. They don't go to the Champions League tired.

The Chances that Raal Madrids performance will drop next season, they are even strengthening the team with the transfer of new players especially the french international, all this is in the bid to making sure they are not in a position where they will have to struggle at any point next season, even in the champions league or their domestic league too, they are going to make sure they give in their very best and possibly win the two trophies again.

I know other teams too want to have the privilege and chance to win the champions league or even get to the finals but I know Madrid will not be the team to drop and allow others get ahead of them to winning the champions league, it's very possible it happens tho and I'm not undermining the fact that such is and can be possible, seeing how Madrid was carful to not making a mistake the champions league finals so they will be able to win the league title, they are going to make sure they don't have much challenge in their form this season.

The strength of Madrid is such that they have a reserve team that is almost as good as the main team so I'm not seeing it that they will drop form by next season. For now I wouldn't want to be too quick just like your said to jumping into conclusion but to wait till the beginning of the season and when the season has gone half way then I can say for sure that there are chance that a particular team may have a better chance of winning the league over the other.

I didn't agree with that because there are so many clubs that are also better than Real Madrid. It's just that those clubs are in different leagues, teams like Liverpool and Arsenal also did better this season.

Even if, for example, Liverpool and Arsenal play against Real Madrid, in reality Real Madrid will still win. Because after all, Manchester City won the Premier League trophy and in fact Real Madrid still managed to beat and eliminate Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. After all,in reality Liverpool also failed in the Europa League with a terrible defeat against Atalanta and also, Arsenal also actually lost in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Bayern Munich. With results like that, I think it is natural and reasonable for Real Madrid to remain the best and there is no better team than Real Madrid. Because after all, if you think and/or assume Arsenal is better than Real Madrid,  then Arsenal should be able to win the Champions League trophy and not Real Madrid.
This is something related to the way of thinking. So the scenario that occurs when we say that we should be able to see Arsenal becoming champions in the Champions League, that's in short. And Arsenal should even be able to become Premier League champions this season.

I will say something that is a fact, because we have seen a full season of competition both at domestic level and at European level. And the fact that we have now seen Real Madrid win their 15th Champions League title confirms that they are the best team at the moment.

Yes, I know that when a team faces a different team we can see different results. But now we can't speculate, because the season is over and we have seen who will win the Champions League. Like it or not, we have to accept this as a fact that we have seen for ourselves. Maybe we will speculate again next season, because this season has already ended.

However, I will not condemn opinions like that, because maybe we have different thoughts, but I am only talking about the facts that happened.

Based on teams' performances this season and with their current squads, if I should choose Real Madrid and Manchester City should be the top favorite teams to win the Champions League next season. However, I will not be surprised to see other teams doing well in the Champions League. Any team can come up with great performances. Let's take Dortmund as an example. many people did not believe that Dortmund would make it to the Champions League final. So, next season, I am expecting teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Leverkusen, and Inter Milan to also do well in the Champions League.Real Madrid have added Mbappe to their squad to strengthen their team, and with this, they really have a big chance of winning next season's Champions League.
