You're right. In theory, Man City and Bayern Munich will be more difficult to beat Real Madrid. But it is not impossible that Man City and Bayern Munich can beat Real Madrid. Sometimes when a team feels that they are stronger, they become lazy to evaluate their weakness. So if Real Madrid is too focus on attacking, their defense can be so fragile and the opponents can beat them.

It is quite fascinating how Real Madrid has been at the helms of Champions League trophies right from old times and they are still in good form to contend for this in the next few decades. This is an epitome of consistency. I do not only applaud the coaches that brought this glory and the players but also the management for consistency over the years. If you're being truthful to yourself you should have known that Real Madrid hasn't won a single Champions League on a platter of gold. It's always through a whole lot of pushing, hard work, and a mixture of luck that has made them win in the Champions League. You can't write off other teams' performance and assume that coming into this season they will still win it. From the play at the Euros and Copa America, notice that most of the real Madrid Star players are playing below their standard and if you look at the most resourceful players in each of the teams in the different continents, it's more from other clubs and less for the Real Madrid side.
