Not too concerned about Liverpool’s CL draw. Atletico were a great team 3 or 4 years ago but not now, Griezmann & Godin left, they’re not doing that well in La Liga.

Jurgen’s red machine will roll on into the 1/4 final again.

Real vs City will be an interesting two games.

Atlético definitely lost the services of griezmann and godin, Despite that he plays a beautiful football. And I think qualifying for this match will be through a penalty shootout. Shocked

Of course, the Real match will be fun, We have two months enough for the wounded to recover and for the soul to return to the team. This will put Real Madrid in competitive roles.

When do we have the round 16 table? I'm super excited. I think Liverpool is an early favorite. Strong performance and is also proving it in EPL.
Not too strong either, the proof they lost at home to Napoli. And only draw at home. This shows that in the Champions League it is really difficult to guess and competition is far stronger than domestic competition. Liverpool are a strong team this season, but the Champions League is not the English league.

In the champions league there are many things that change, for example in the domestic league, only I am not strong, but when I play at UCL, their ability is out and able to subvert other big European teams, so it is indeed difficult to guess especially in the form of victory.
See later Liverpool game will the game draw or lose we can see the proof later.

Chelsea vs Bayern - I like to watch Lampard's Chelsea, but they aren't ready to eliminate Bayern yet
Everyone underestimate Chelsea under Lampard as not ready, one thing you should know that everytime you got underestimated.... there's a bigger motivation to prove that everyone wrong Grin , this is football though.
A team with odds @5000 won the premier league in 2015-2016, leicester city.
A team with odds @50 to win UCL in 2012 , chelsea they did it underestimatedly.

What else could possibly turn unexpected?

Leipzig to win UCL? Why not?
This is the underdogs year!

Also really happy with LFC drawing Atletico, over 2 games we are clear favorites. Atletico was a great defensive team with a huge threat going forward, now it is just a good defensive team already tired of Simeone and his gameplan.
They will be hard to break down but we will break them down and when we do, the tie is over.

I can't remember the last time we saw this calibre of games in the uefa champions league round of 16, every match is indeed a must watch and only few games can actually be predicted, that's if there is any.

All the English teams face tough opponents, I see people writing off Leipzig against spurs, but they are a very decent team and if spurs are to progress against them, they must be at their best.
City vs Real is my match of the round of 16, City should win, but madrids experience in the UCL could prove decisive, pep needs to win this, he can't afford to fail in the UCL this season again, and at least not this early(round of 16)

Inspired by @LTU_btc, here are my predictions

Dortmund vs PSG - PSG is still red-hot... A combination of Mbappe, Neymer, Cavani are just going to tear Dortmund's defense into shreds

Real Madrid vs Manchester City - 50/50 draw. I will give it to Real Madrid. City are far from their best form they showed last season unless they turn things around before Feb

Atalanta vs Valencia - The surprise package for this season, I expect Atalanta is surprise Valencia and proceed on to the next round.

Atletico vs Liverpool - I think the defending champions will go past Atletico who are far from convincing this season. They barely score more than 2 goals and won't be a match for high scoring Liverpool

Chelsea vs Bayern - Bayern Munich will eliminate Chelsea especially if they come out on the day they want to score 4 goals plus

Lyon vs Juventus - Juventus will go through. More Champion's League goal scoring records awaiting Ronaldo in both Rounds

Tottenham vs Leipzig - Given that Mourinho is now in charge, Spurs will go further.

Napoli vs Barcelona - Barcelona will go through, Messi will inspire them. Ancelotti would have had a chance maybe if he was still the manager since he is very experienced in the Champion's league.

This is a good selection and I am tempted already to place a bet for who will qualify based on these predictions.I think they will be the teams moving forward but I am also a bit skeptic about this Champions League stage going on without surprises. Most probably there will be at least a surprise result and I think this one will be Leipzig going further.

Atalanta vs Valencia - The surprise package for this season, I expect Atalanta is surprise Valencia and proceed on to the next round
Your predictions mostly match with mine, except for the match between Atalanta and Valencia. Atalanta has very successfully performed in their first season in Champions League (after their another most surprising ending at the 4th position in the Serie A last season). Nevertheless, Valencia is a big club and has lots of experience in Champions League as well as Europa League, the top leagues in the Europe, I meant. They will know how to set up traps and beat Atalanta. Another disadvantage of Atalanta is their limited player resources that will do affect their general performance in some most important period of this season (injuries, exhausted physiscal fitness, and so on).

I don't think that Atalanta is going to proceed more in the tournament.
They have made an amazing performance so far but know out games require experience and Valencia has more of that.

It's true that Atalanta playing for the first time in CL and don't have experience but they already learned a lot this season in CL.
They lost first 3 matches in the group but passed their group as second.
They showed quality and stability already and they never give up.
I'm sure that they will be motivated a lot in the match against Valencia so I think that they have 40-45% chances to win.

Many big games in Champions League Draw will be played, Liverpool the winner of the last title of the UCL will face a Atletico Madrid in a hard game. Also Bayern Munich will face Chelsea with an advantage for Bayern due to the youngest team of Chelsea and they don't have experience for those games, and another big game Manchester City will face Real Madrid, in this game we can't predict who will be the winner, both teams are volatile in their games. PSG will face Dortmund in one of the best games, both teams have one of the best attacks in Champions League, it will be an exciting game.

They might win but the odds is very low. Everything can happen in sports. Valencia is stronger certainly but they are not too strong to 100% win over Atalanta. All teams can be beaten by the other weaker teams. Like last season, no one thought Tottenham could beat Manchester City. There is odds for that but I bet on Valencia.

Inspired by @LTU_btc, here are my predictions

Real Madrid vs Manchester City - 50/50 draw. I will give it to Real Madrid. City are far from their best form they showed last season unless they turn things around before Feb

Atletico vs Liverpool - I think the defending champions will go past Atletico who are far from convincing this season. They barely score more than 2 goals and won't be a match for high scoring Liverpool

For sure, Liverpool will scale pass Athletico Madrid. I have no doubt about my team. Since Greizman left, Athletico have been a shadow of their former self. Looking forward to seeing Liverpool in the quarter finals.

Quote

Chelsea vs Bayern - Bayern Munich will eliminate Chelsea especially if they come out on the day they want to score 4 goals plus

Chelsea have lacked consistency this season and I don't think they can hold a tean like Bayern back from moving to the next round.

daarul has a small point, but then again if you need to strengthen in January, what difference can you do? Unless that buy is Alisson or VVD, impact will not be substantial, nor will it be immediate.

Tell you what, every team except Atletico breathed easy when our draw came. Nobody wants to face Pool now. City on paper should handle a much-weakened side, but experience counts for a lot in CL. It's the most interesting of the lot for sure, though Napoli could trip Barca too.

I'd have preferred Real, so they better beat City so we can get our revenge.

I haven’t paid much attention to La Liga this season but Atleti have won 7 out of 18 games. We’ll start this tie as massive favourites.

Klopp’s never lost a two legged European tie as LFC manager. We’ll be in that 1/4 final draw, it’s what we do Wink

Liverpool and Atletico Madrid - I believe Liverpool will win.
Atalanta vs Valencia - Obviously this is a victory for Valencia.
Dortmund vs PSG - Maybe PSG will have a goal party again no matter this is the opponent PSG Dortmund is able to topple him.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City - the first leg will end in a draw.

Round of 16:

Dortmund vs PSG
Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Atalanta vs Valencia
Atletico vs Liverpool
Chelsea vs Bayern
Lyon vs Juventus
Tottenham vs Leipzig
Napoli vs Barcelona

My picks in bold. What are yours?

Dortmund vs PSG - PSG is too hot to handle for Dortmund. Also PSG gonna have 2nd leg at home. Neymar is back too, almost zero chance for Dortmund.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City  - Another bad CL season coming for Real Madrid. Manchester City will win.
Atalanta vs Valencia - Valencia is playing pretty balanced both in home league and CL. I won't be surprised if it reaches in Quarter Finals as one of the two Spanish side.
Atletico vs Liverpool - If any match is likely to be most prone to upset, this one is my pick. I am currently rooting for Liverpool's victory but AM can win this one provided that Liverpool's performance against non-English sides is not as convincing as in Premier League so far this season.
Chelsea vs Bayern - Hehe, poor Chelsea. Bayern is in top-gear. Coutinho and Muller are coming back in-form. It seems like Bayern is playing with 4 strikers. Chelsea will lose both legs.
Lyon vs Juventus - Easy draw for Juventus. Last year Messi's team defeated Lyon in Round of 16. This time, Ronaldo will have the pleasure.
Tottenham vs Leipzig - Tottenham is too unstable. Leipzig is comparatively better side IMO. It will become second German team to qualify for Quarters alongside Bayern.
Napoli vs Barcelona - Barcelona's away form is awful. Barca at home is entirely different team from Barca away from home. At home, it can win games even from 5 goals deficit (PSG vs Barcelona). On the contrary, it can lose away games even from 3-0 leads (Liverpool and Roma). It's good that 2nd leg is at home and Napoli is not strong enough to survive at Camp Nou.

Liverpool could have more difficult draws.
The luckiest team however is Valencia, as Atalanta is considered as the weakest opponent in this round.
The most interesting game would be Real vs City indeed, and I think that this is City's time to proceed further in the cup.
