What are you guys watching tomorrow? Atletico vs Liverpool? or Dortmund vs PSG?
Of-course Atl. Madrid vs Liverpool. After having the winter break we are ready for the battle. Norwich was a boring team to watch so judging by the Norwich match and thinking Liverpool may slip in this match will be foolish. This team forgot to lose a match so the worse I will expect is and away draw.

I will not watch the other match but will hope PSG to manage a win there.

Athletico Madrid might win at very small different in score. The odds between home-away goals will be important.
Duh! 😜

I'll definitely be expecting lots of goals from the Dortmund - PSG clash, both teams are free-scoring and play open, attractive football.
PSG has better players than Dortmund but who knows, it is the Champions League, where PSG got many defeats recent seasons. Dortmund, despite of their ups and downs, had some greater match results in Champions League than PSG. They have better history in Champions League, I meant. I bet on PSG because such team like them need to go as far as possible in order to keep the Champions Leauge as attractive as possible.
This is the match I'll be watching tomorrow, Diego simeone and athletico know how to play a very tight game, with little chances and few goals and I think that's how tomorrow's game is going to be(both legs even).

The defending champions continue in their quest to retain the title. It's been a record-breaking season and winning the champions league back to back (first English team to do so) would crown a quite spectacular season.
I'll be backing both away teams to win.

Will atletico quench Liverpool and edge out a win?
This is the match I'll be watching tomorrow, Diego simeone and athletico know how to play a very tight game, with little chances and few goals and I think that's how tomorrow's game is going to be(both legs even). It's almost impossible to pick who's going to qualify at the end of the tie, but whoever will go through, will do so with the tightest of margins.
Will exciting Dortmund oust psg away from the champions league?
PSG will go through for me, both legs would be easy for them, Dortmund are not an easy side, but I'm sure PSG would be too powerful a force for them to eliminate.

Champions League -round of 16- is back! So why is this thread so quiet??  Grin

What are you guys watching tomorrow? Atletico vs Liverpool? or Dortmund vs PSG? I'll watch the spaniards vs klopp and his boys...even though Liverpool are unstoppable this season, Champions League is a different beast and they shouldn't underestimate Atletico who have the 2nd best defence in La Liga.

The other game, i'm thinking of going with PSG to win @2.31 in my Champions League parlay. Thoughts?

I think most people are not sure what to expect from the knockout stages
Because there will be several surprises

Will atletico quench Liverpool and edge out a win?
Will exciting Dortmund oust psg away from the champions league?

Those questions need answers and I will wait to read views below

Liverpool is aiming to win this yer Champions League, and I think they can do it.
They had nice draw but they need to perform as best as they can.

I also believe that Liverpool will win the UCL title this season because in terms of the players great and strong enough to see an unplayable EPL until now, it is very likely that the UCL trophy will also be won like the previous season.
Even though there are more clubs in the champion league, Liverpool will be able to beat it if the game is still like that.

Bayern will progress to the 1/4 final imo, Chelsea are a good team but full of young players. Experience usually counts at this stage of the competition.

True. Bayern might be in a bad condition right now and a lot of players are out of form but they are going to have a good game in Germany i believe with all their supporters on their side.
Chelsea has been accomplished an amazing qualification to 16 but they cannot go further in the CL.

Indeed, Bayern Munich in the domestic league is not good this season and even ranked 3rd but if at UCL the game will be different they will be even more excited in the match, see in the match at UCL last week able to beat Tottenham at home so chelsea opponents will not that bad

And apart from that, as we are proceeding with the second part of the league period the players would start having pressure on them and in many times pressure ends up in performing better.
CL games would be a good start for them in order to begin a consecutive winning streak.

Very exciting matches next year. Dortmund certainly won't be a walk in the park against PSG. Tottenham struggling in EPL I guess can overcome an inexperienced young Leipzig. Chelsea and Bayern is 50-50? I had a slight edge on Bayern. And Real Madrid looks like it will be exiting early as it is matched against Manchester City. Can't wait for these matches.

I watched last game of Dortmund on Tv against Hoffenheim and in the first half I saw a dominating Dortmund with a lot of lost goal occasions. However in the second half I saw another Dortmund,a tired team with no desire to play and no desire to pressure the adversary at all.If Dortmund will play like the second half against Hoffenheim it will be even easier than a walk in the park for Paris to qualify.

To the fatal fault for Dortmund for not being able to hold opponents to remain defeated but Hoffenheim was able to score in the 79-87 minute goal quickly and was able to beat Dortmund easily.
Dortmund is now in 4th position and might be displaced again next week if the game is still like that.
They seem to have lost the edge that they started the season with and this has been happening almost all the time, they start every season with so much energy and zeal and people starts to believe that they are going to win the Bundesliga and then they start to slip and lose everything. PSG are totally going to destroy Dortmund with they play with the same lackluster performance.

Too many teams are showing this trait now. Playing 2 completely different halves. And the one who can end the game on a higher note is the one that will usually take 3 points. Now even if you end half time with 2 zero or even 3 zero,,, I have seen too many times these teams lose the lead and end with draws or even losses.

Bayern's doing better overall and looks more in form compared to Chelsea tho.  Chelsea looks like it's gonna implode soon.
Yeah but both also in the similar conditions.
We'll see later , I won't blindly go for chelsea to bet though just because I'm a chelsea diehard fans.

I just feel need to remind everyone that underestimating chelsea over Bayern munich is a mistake.
I'd say both have the same chance to beat each other but yeah we'll see later how both make a progress over the next 6 to 7 weeks.

Chelsea vs Bayern - I like to watch Lampard's Chelsea, but they aren't ready to eliminate Bayern yet
Everyone underestimate Chelsea under Lampard as not ready, one thing you should know that everytime you got underestimated.... there's a bigger motivation to prove that everyone wrong Grin , this is football though.
A team with odds @5000 won the premier league in 2015-2016, leicester city.
A team with odds @50 to win UCL in 2012 , chelsea they did it underestimatedly.

What else could possibly turn unexpected?

Leipzig to win UCL? Why not?
This is the underdogs year!

And everybody prolly forgot the history between these two in the CL.  Remember when (and where) they faced each other during the 2011/12 final?  Lololol.
69 days to go till this match and so far the bookies set chelsea @3.8 to win at Stamford Bridge... damn this crazy good odds to bet now! while Bayern munich @2.1 , the risk is worth taking.
Besides the history says it all , look at both situations ... chelsea and Bayern munich both in not good form , Bayern munich rarely to lost 2 games in a row in Bundesliga and they even fall down to 5th position by now.
Chelsea also lost 2 games in a row in epl , nearly approached the second place they slipped to lost 9 points in 4 games.

Bayern's doing better overall and looks more in form compared to Chelsea tho.  Chelsea looks like it's gonna implode soon.

@Daniel91 Barcelona have always been over reliant on Messi, and despite their poor results they do not learn from their mistakes and never try and promote other players ahead of Messi.

Manchester City will not win the champions league because of their leaky defence, the only team that can win it is Liverpool as they’re playing surreal football and no team is strong enough to stop them.

The solution is not to promote other players ahead of Messi (He is the best player in the world, so he is rightly above everyone else). The board for whatever reason seem to be ignoring the lack of an efficient tactical approach on the pitch, I would never have expected Valverde to last this long and except it is part of an attempt to keep him till the end of the season and make a move for Pep, then its a wrong decision.

I also fancy Liverpool ahead if every other team, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are the only team that can win it.
