No it wasn't @50 but it was much much lower, max odd @28 as you can see from this graph (source betfair.it exchange games)

In other bookmakers it was offered even lower.

Pretty sure that most people would be betting on Villarreal ML even more after the half time. It was 2 goals lead and Liverpool just needed to score either 1 goal or force a draw, most people probably wouldnt expected Liverpool to pull the trigger there and win the game.

I bet on Liverpool pre-match and at the same time I was both nervous and excited at the same time. I wanted Liverpool to win so that I would win my bet but at the same time, imagine how exciting it would be if Villarreal kicked another top teams out of the race again just like they did with Bayern. That would have been epic

If they can turn that tie against Paris around, against all the odds, and then survive such an onslaught from holders Chelsea, nothing is beyond them. Karim Benzema is in the form of his life and with Vinicíus Júnior providing scintillating support, as well as the venerable Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić pulling the strings, who would dare rule out the 13-time winners doing what they do best? Their resilience once again came to the fore in the first leg of the semi-finals.

Liverpool soon got to understand that what they needed to do most of all was to keep coming at Villarreal and the more they did, the more the team be came weaker in there defence. From the off target attempt made by Alexander Arnold that was deflected and came off the Cross bar and the Luis Diaz attempt with a cross after dribbling a couple of defenders, Liverpool saw the light in the game.

If I were to blame any Villarreal player for there misfortune tonight, it would be G. Rulli. A mean, he wasn't capable of any good save tonight. The goals were just coming through right between his legs. The worst of them was when he did attempt to come and get the through ball to S. Mane as far as few meters to the midfield and its had to go 50:50 with a skilled player so far into the pitch as that. Surely S. Mane made the most of it and gave Liverpool its 3rd goal. Nice try by Villarreal but, they've got to go over to 3rd place with Liverpool now in the final.

Unai Emery cost this team of all that hard work in the 1st half by asking them to pack the bus and defend while they already had the momentum. Same mistake they made 1st leg. Liverpool didn't have to lift a finger for any of the goals, awful defending and tactics awarded them these goals. The game changed after Luiz Diaz was brought in. Luiz Diaz has no business sitting on Liverpool's bench. Except if he is injured.Liverpool's defense has a problem in the person or Trent Alexander Arnold. Dude is good going forward but he's first a defender. His ineptitude caused the second goal
Villarreal players were tired in the second half, they played with zeal and energy in the first half, of course I don't think they sat back to defend, rather changes made by Klopp changed the game, Luiz Daiz made an instant impact on the match by making incursions into Villarreal goal territory via the left flank, he was absolutely brilliant, however Villarreal goalkeeper had not live up expectations, personally he should have done better with two of the goals he conceded, congratulations to Liverpool for reaching this season UCL final.

a little fact that I am going to tell you about this match, although they are not the same circumstances, again Villarreal is left out in the semifinals because of "the fault" of an Argentine.
I don't know if you remember that in 2005/2006 if I remember correctly, Riquelme missed a penalty against Arsenal and they were left out. Well now it was Rulli the goalkeeper's fault, he scored the first goal, and it was from the same goal.
Villarreal just lost their opportunity to move to the finals because  of Rulli after equalizing in the first half with a 2:2 aggregate only for Liverpool to come back in the second half re-enforced.

I admired the pressure Liverpool played with in the second half the made sure every attempt counted. If Villarreal had used the same pressure as in the first half we would have had a more tougher game tonight

I.like the way Liverpool took Villarreal by surprise in the second half I never believed Villarreal will end the first half with 2 goals to none but my disbelief was settled after Liverpool already scored 3 goals in the second half. Best of luck to Liverpool and the fans as we are all awaiting the final whistle.
Liverpool won by 3-2 goal and aggregate Liverpool 5-2 villarreal. What a interesting match it was! Liverpool came back 2nd half. They scored 3 goals in second half.Liverpool fans are very happy with this performance and win.Liverpool qualified for Final. Waiting for Manchester city vs Real Madrid,Who will qualified for Final.
To be honest, after being 2-0 down, I was already pessimistic that Liverpool would qualify for the final. Cheesy but in the second half Liverpool gave an extraordinary surprise, Liverpool was able to present a dramatic comeback action against Villarreal while ensuring their move to the Champions League final. tomorrow's match I hope that Real Madrid will come out victorious, so that the champions final match will be more interesting.

Who would have thought Liverpool will move from behind to winning the match I was thinking Villarreal was going to be so lucky tonight to have won this game but I yeah I was wrong Liverpool have to walk away with the winning with just 1 goal ahead of Villarreal.
The semi finals stage is full of surprises and since this is a knock out stage most clubs are prepared for the worst so their are playing their best football.

As a neutral football fan i really enjoyed the first 45 minutes because for me it was completely unexpected that Villarealwould be able to control the game and dominate Liverpool in such a way as they did in the first half. In the half time break i really thought that Villareal has a realistic chance of advancing into the final today. Klopp seemed to really have used that time in the break though to get his players back on track for the second half. There Liverpool took control over the game and sadly for Villareal and also for a neutral viewer they managed to score pretty early after the break and after the second goal of Liverpool the match was basically done.

We had a really incredible night. Like me, most people were thinking about that Liverpool wouldn't have much problem about eliminating their opponent. And maybe the people who weren't able to watch will think like they didn't too. However Villarreal had a huge opportunity at the end of the first half. They had Liverpool right at the place they would like to see and they captured a big advantage too like 2-0. But in the second half, Liverpool managed to start playing like themselves and they did the best thing they do by scoring two goals by a short time interval. And as Villarreal started to give up on the match, Liverpool dealt a final blow and won by 3-2. But I definitely enjoyed the performance of each team.

Have you forgotten that despite the fact that City were good, Real Madrid scored 3 goals?  Roll Eyes
I think that in the second leg Real Madrid will definitely be able to score at least one goal, the only question is how many they will concede and how much they will be able to score more than one goal, since it is not enough to win anyway (if we count the goals in the penalty shootout as goals).
Of course I haven't forgotten.  Smiley  I said it that way because I wanted to point out one thing. In case Manchester City are able to perform the same against Real Madrid in Bernabeu too, then Real Madrid are going to have a much more difficult match against them for sure. Not to experience a bad match, Real Madrid should be focusing on improving their defending in this match. They made really simple mistakes in the first leg and it cost them a great deal. They wouldn't concede 4 goals if they did better there.
I mean the best defense is offense logic did worked out well for both teams. I have to say that they ended up with 4 goals and 3 goals respectively which is a lot of goals. I believe that they really needed to show nothing of sorts for City to be favorites in this game as well. Sure Madrid scored 3, but City scored 4 which is what matters. I personally believe that even though Madrid could score this game, City will score back for sure.

This means that we need to realize that City is still the favorites, which is what the odds are saying as well. They are just way too good of a team to be not the favorites here. Maybe some other team could be looking bad against Madrid but not City.

Villarreal can be happy with the semifinals and with their performance in this match. They have a three-fold less valuable team. Too bad for them, but realistically they are not on the same level with the Reds. Nevertheless, it was a fun match to watch. Congratulations to all who won the bet.

From the start it seemed like an impossible mission to do but their game was really very entertaining and indeed this score was even 2 goals ahead of Liverpool of course it was a very good thing to see even though they failed to maintain it.
A very exciting game, Congratulations to Liverpool and maybe to Villarreal too because the semi-final could be their best achievement

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Villarreal played well in the first half and put Liverpool under pressure and also dominated the game in the first half, but somehow in the second half Villarreal seemed to lose consistency and also all the players looked tired.
and what Villarreal is facing is Liverpool who are the best and strongest team in the EPL and also keep attacking tirelessly in a losing or winning position there is no word to defend and that's what I like about Liverpool.
and currently the score is 2-3 goals from Febinho in the 62nd minute, Luis Diaz in the 67th minute and Sadio Mane in the 74th minute. And I hope Mohamed Salah scores a goal at the end of the game.
Jurgen Klopp was great at making significant changes in the second half while Villareal lost their way which made their game even more chaotic, I don't know why Unai Emery can go wrong like this while Liverpool are so great at replying to 3 goals so easy is this beyond our understanding?
But to be honest I'm happy Liverpool made it to the final, our win bet here is a bit calm in favor of Liverpool and this is indeed a formidable candidate for the title.

Congratulations to Villarreal who reached the semifinals of the UCL this season and won 2-0 in the first half, but unfortunately they weren't lucky enough even though they played in front of their own fans. Liverpool this season has been really great and they have a chance for a quadruple winner so Liverpool's motivation is definitely higher this time. I personally hope Liverpool are really able to achieve the highest achievement this season, because their quality this season has clearly looked very good so this is the right moment for Liverpool to win the UCL title.

Well, I don't know how, but that second half felt incredibly easy after we scored. I can't believe we actually turned that around if you solely base it on how we were playing in the first half. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that dressing room at half time, because time, and time again Klopp seems to just turn it around. Diaz coming on definitely changed how we played, and what a player to have who is still relatively young for a football player.

I'm hoping for a Madrid vs Liverpool final, as I do believe that's our best chance. The thing is with City, and Liverpool its either a deadlock, a Liverpool mauling or City just manage to perform better than us on the day. So, while I don't think Madrid is a easy game by any stretch of the imagination, I do think it'll be the easier of the two. Not by much mind you, I just find Madrid are more prone to lapse of concentration, just look at the first half of the game against City, as an example.

Unpredictable final score. Liverpool finally escaped with a fairly high aggregate. 5 - 2 second half which was totally unexpected by me. Btw, Moh Salah playing without a goal is quite surprising. Almost many opportunities did not make a single goal scored. When Liverpool bounced back in the second half, I was quite impressed to see Diaz's contribution, who finally got the chance to score.

Congratulations to Liverpool for qualifying for the final, we are looking forward to an equally exciting match between Real Madrid vs Manchester City.
Liverpool in second half was really crazy and they managed to make an incredible comeback by creating 3 goals, I don't know what happened to Villareal in the second half so they didn't play as well as in the first half, a aggregate
5-2  victory made Liverpool have now set foot in the final and waiting for a commensurate opponent between madrid or manchester city, with liverpool successfully qualifying for the final and the aggregate advantage that manchester city has in the first leg, it is likely that we will see two english teams face each other later in the final.

Deleeete Cheesy I was writing about Liverpool's first goal and they made second goal in a short time. Let's shuffle the cards again and I need more popcorn  Grin Cheesy
Villarreal 2-3 Liverpool (2-5 aggregate) with 15 minutes left on the game.
Villarreal hopes was extinguished by Liverpool in the second half, that was quite intense until Liverpool get up and kick them badly. Farewell Villarreal.

It's a very interesting show. The substitutions made by Liverpool at the start of the second half brought an improvement. Luis Diaz played quite impressively, his movements were quite troublesome for the Villarreal defense and I think the goal he scored had an impact on the mentality of the Villarreal players because after that goal the Villarreal players looked very frustrated.
The inclusion of supersub in liverpool really brings a very meaningful change.
Mentally it is different but in this match of course Villarreal also deserves to be appreciated because they can get to this stage and even corner Liverpool in the first half.
In the end congrats to Liverpool and indeed this is a good thing for them and also my bet Cheesy

As expected Liverpool progresses to the final of this season UEFA Champion's League but it was absolutely sensational play from Villarreal tonight. They did great in this second leg, they didn't bow out without giving Liverpool a serious fight. Now they will look back at the first leg at Anfield and have themselves to blame because they did let themselves down with those two goals in an unexpected way.
