I don't think it will bother Manchester City performance because they're faced a lower rank team e.g. Watford, they will easily won the match and perhaps it will boosting/ motivating them when they faced against Real Madrid. The match will happen in Manchester City's home too, it's enough to take a rest. Manchester City also have many good players which the skills is above average, unlike Real Madrid who only focus on Benzema as the striker.

I think, those matches will not affect Manchester city or Real Madrid not to perform well in their next match because the both teams has performed well from their past matches. Despite the match Manchester city have with Watford, it will not stop Manchester city not to achieve victory from Real Madrid because their defense is more stronger than Real Madrid defense in this tournament which will make them to have the advantage to defeat Real Madrid. Manchester city has learned from their past mistakes never to allow them to experience any defeat from any team till they achieve UEFA Europa league title in this season

Football is a team game it's very difficult to only rely on one player, and at the moment Real Madrid are like that, they are very difficult if Benzema is absent.
