it has been the case in the past that when bayern munich was not in top form in the last games and seemed to be a bit struggling, then the higher they won a game and thus also the 7-1 victory against salzburg yesterday - on all positions at least one class better than the austrians.
in the game liverpool vs. inter, has in my opinion inter after they have scored the 1-0, then weakened themselves with the two red cards (Sanchez & Farris) and then had little chance of another goal

today we see two more games...
with real vs. psg a real top match at world class level, where i would trust the french club to reach the 1/4-final.
in the game mancity vs. sporting everything is and should be already clear

Shame Inter couldn't score a second goal. But their game still didn't look confident, strange that they could win this match at all, breaking Liverpool's unbeaten streak. Of course the red card probably played a cruel role but Liverpool did not give them an opportunity to strike. On the other hand, Bayern showed what they could do.

Liverpool played defensively in this match. In the first leg we saw Liverpool made a lot of attack. But Liverpool's main goal in this match was to qualify for the next round. And Liverpool did it. Winning or losing here is not a big fact. However, Liverpool has played better than Inter in this match as well. I didn't like their gameplay even after winning Inter Milan.

To be honest, I knew in yesterday's game, we wouldn't be seeing goals from Liverpool but it was really an interesting game nonetheless. Liverpool were just playing a nice and slow game, not rushing. Even when Alexis Sanchez got the red card and left Inter to be a man down, they still persevered. A total of 8 cards, 5 from the opposing team to show how desperately they needed goals to enable them qualify but too bad that they didn't make it. Kudos to Liverpool tho👍
Liverpool only kept the game very well because Inter Milan's 0-1 win was a waste too because Liverpool had won 2-0 on aggregate in the first leg so they only played beautifully so their players didn't get injured.
And can play for the next round again. For Inter Milan also has to be given a bit of credit even though they did not qualify for the next round as they have been fighting for that too.

it was a good containment game for liverpool, honestly I would have played more aggressive they left too much space for Inter
if Inter scored another goal they thwarted everything, it was very risky (in my view)
You are right, there is a big risk at stake by Liverpool in that match if Inter can score more than 1 goal as things can change after that. Liverpool dominated possession but were not very convincing when they got their scoring chances. Had Sanchez not got a red card after the first goal then I might think that the second goal could have been scored by Inter. But unfortunately Inter had to play with 10 men after their first goal so Liverpool were easier to defend when Inter attacked.

But all looks good for Liverpool and Bayern Munich as they managed to secure a ticket to the quarter-finals after winning on aggregate in the second leg. Bayern scored 7 goals in the second leg, it is something extraordinary in the Champions League especially the first leg only drew 1-1. Congratulations to these two teams, and now I am waiting to see who will advance to the quarter-finals between Real Madrid vs PSG and Manchester City vs Sporting. I hope PSG qualify after Manchester City have stepped one foot into the quarter-finals with a 5-goal advantage in the first leg.

With Liverpool's success in beating Inter in the first leg, it's no wonder many people were surprised that Liverpool were beaten by Inter at Anfield.
Actually both teams played quite well, Liverpool also created several chances, there were even a few shots that hit the crossbar.
In fact, a lot of chances were wasted, not because they didn't play well, it's just that these two are an extraordinary club. In terms of defense and attack also from Liverpool and Inter are very good. I don't think there's anything to be disappointed about, maybe it's just that for Liverpool fans without a goal is an unsatisfactory result. Like before the game, back then, we had high expectations that Liverpool would score more than 2 goals. Maybe that's all that makes the fans dissatisfied with the result of the Leg 2 match. We were even amazed by Bayern performance, which we thought would not reach 7-1 instead became a very entertaining spectacle.

Both Liverpool and Inter have given their best in the second leg, Liverpool supporters shouldn't be disappointed, because Liverpool can qualify
for the next round. After all, Inter are not a weak team that is easy to beat, so Liverpool's defeat at Anfield is not something to be ashamed of.
Because Liverpool supporters can't expect Liverpool to win every game, sometimes strong teams also experience defeat. The important thing is
that Liverpool are not beaten by a weak team or lose at important moments.

Then regarding the Bayern vs Salzburg match I am not surprised that Bayern managed to win. But what surprised me was that Bayern scored
7 goals, this shows how strong Bayern are. A very entertaining match with many goals scored, especially for Bayern supporters their
disappointment when the first leg could be paid off with Bayern's big win in this second leg. As for the Salzburg supporters, the results are
painful, because the results of this second leg are definitely beyond their expectations. Congratulations to Liverpool and Bayern for qualifying
for the next round.

Well im late to comment, but im really surprised by the Inter, because before the first game start all the people thing an easy pass for Liverpool.
But if you see closely, the first game Inter played very well and Liverpool have more luck and won the game, and in the second game Inter won and if Alexis Sanchez doesnt was sending off, maybe , maybe the Inter have a clear chance to put in some troubles a mega team like Liverpool.
The another game cant comment so much...

Inter Milan were on the attacking side through out the night. The ball was a free ball, wasn't in Liverpool possession. Maybe Liverpool was playing for a draw, knowingly they had a 2-0 advantage on aggregate of their first leg win. Inter Milan on the other hand wanted to win but 1-0 win wasn't enough for them to advance. I was impressed with Inter Milan for playing as well as they did with 10men for a third of the game. Liverpool were just lucky, they would have been eliminated if it wasn't for Alexis Sanchez's red card. Alexis Sanchez was unlucky, he really did wanted his team to go through but not to be, they should now fully focus on the Scudetto.

Inter Milan proved many soccer pundits and analysts wrong having been given a very slim chances of defeating Liverpool at Anfield, however much credit should be given to them for playing an attacking football and a brilliant finishing by Martinez who curled the ball pass Alisson lead to their goal, though Liverpool hits the woodwork thrice which could have change the scoreline had they scored those scoring opportunities, however when Sanchez was sent off for a bad tackle, that reduced the chances of Inter scoring their second goal that could have possibly forced the match to extra time, they are quite unlucky.

I think anyone not surprised this score, cause everyone knows Bayern Munich.
Bayer Munich is the favorite team of the champions league.

Score is now 7-1 Cheesy

Im more surprised that Inter was able to win against Liverpool but that red card sealed the match

I agree with you. If it wasn't for that red card, maybe Inter could have scored 1 more goal and the match could have gone to overtime.
But this tour was definitely Liverpool's right. Smiley

Inter Milan's victory when they visited Anfield could not take them away from the last 16. But my prediction was slightly off in this match, I didn't expect Liverpool to lose.
Sure no one expected Liverpool to lose at Anfield, although they still qualified for the quarter-finals but a little disappointing for fans and bettors who hoped they won.

The next game Madrid and PSG, what the possible outcome is?, honestly have no idea what this match will end like. City are almost 80% going to win and into the quarter-finals.
Honestly, it's hard to predict the match between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in this second leg. Even though Paris Saint-Germain are already one goal ahead, Real Madrid are a side full of surprises in the second leg of the Champions League, and they have done it time and time again. But at the moment Paris Saint-Germain with their new ammunition, I'm not sure they will be easy to beat. But even so, I'm still leaning towards Real Madrid to get past this phase.

Based on domestic league performance most better Real Madrid than PSG because all three match pervious Madrid success win and once time winning and twice loss from  PSG I think bad reputation. But still have bad news for PSG after Mbappe injury and he still on player list bring by PSG to Madrid but not any confirmation will have chance to be line up starting eleven or keep stay on the bench with still injury. I hope can see Real Madrid can qualify to next round and hope could win above two goals tonight and keep scoring as faster for make easy how to make another goal.
If mbappe don't play for PSG later then I doubt they can win from Madrid and advance to the next round. look how the PSG vs NICE match went a few days ago, at that time mbappe was hit with an accumulation of yellow cards, it was very visible that PSG's front line was lame when mbappe didn't play, I can say they were dependent on mbappe.

PSG and Real Madrid are set to face off at Santiago Barnabeu. After summarizing the team's recent performances, I am not confident enough that PSG will win this game. Therefore, I'll choose Madrid instead.
If we consider their performance in local competitions then Real Madrid looks more promising than PSG. From their last 3 matches, Real Madrid has always won, while PSG can only win once and lose 2 times. Besides that, in this second leg, Real Madrid also gets an advantage because they are playing at home. Well, even though the opponent is a big team, the crowd will be a big motivation for Real Madrid players. Real Madrid needs a 2 goal difference to win, and I guess they will be able to work it out.

Real Madrid is a very experienced team. But if we compare the squads of Real Madrid and PSG, then PSG is strong. Almost everyone on the PSG team is a star player, they are very talented. In the first leg I was very upset to see the performance of Real Madrid. If they do not change their tactics in this match, they will lose this match as well. If they want to win, they have to attack and they have to break the defense of PSG.

Bayern Munich seemed to give hope to Salzburg in the first meeting and in the second leg they completely destroyed Salzburg. Actually I had predicted that Bayern Munich would win the game, but I didn't expect that the score would be this much. Yes they really are a team that has a big enough chance to win the title this season.
As I said in a previous comment, The Allianz Arena is the most haunted stadium for the visiting a team. This time Bayern Munich proved it again, Salzburg was completely destroyed at the Allianz Arena. Big wins at the Allianz Arena seem to have become a tradition for Bayern Munich, because they have also destroyed Barcelona in the same competition.
Thanks to this victory Bayern Munich is entitled to a ticket to the quarter-finals.
The atmosphere of Allianz Stadium always gives positive energy to Bayern Munich in facing opponents in all the competitions they play. FC Salzburg is not a match for Bayern Munich. This is not because of the result of the 2nd leg that was played by them last night, but in a head to head Bayern Munich always appear mighty against Salzburg.

The greatness of Bayern Munich is not suitable if you compare it because it was able to destroy Barcelona in the Group Phase. At that time Barcelona's condition was falling. Let alone against Bayern Munich, against fellow teams from La Liga Barcelona were overwhelmed. But Barcelona now under coach Xavi is different and I can assure you that against Bayern Munich, Barcelona will beat them.

Uncertainty is at the center of football. Despite hitting the post three times and missing golden opportunities, Inter managed to pull one back. In the end, Liverpool qualified with a 2-1 aggregate score despite losing the second leg at home. Best of luck in the quarterfinals to Liverpool!
