i'm really looking forward to the second leg in Manchester. Kylian Mbappé didn't take a single shot on ManCity's goal on Wednesday.
that was really unusual. but I don't think PSG will reach the final. ManCity will win the second leg by a narrow margin or the game will end in a draw.
maybe there will actually be an all-English final in the CL if Chelsea wins narrowly against real. but we will all be wiser by next Wednesday evening at the latest.

Yes, I am also looking forward to Man City's second leg against PSG on Wednesday, it looks like PSG will not qualify for the final because City are not easy to beat.
Even though later PSG will dominate the attack but City will defend and the target is only a draw to qualify for the final, and what I saw in the first leg of Kylian Mbappe did not really play a role compared to Neymar.
It looks like in the final Chelsea will meet Man City.

In football with 2 legs, we have seen too often in many recent years that even 4 goals is not impossible to overturn. Barcelona did it many times, and of course themselves were victims. Remember PSG was a victim of it and even City themselves will remember how my team turned everything around in second leg:)
Of course, in Football there's always a possibility of a comeback, especially when the match stretches across two legs, that's unarguable, but the point is that City have the advantage, and PSG need to score at least two goals and pray City don't score at all, so they can qualify, that's definitely not beyond them, but it's difficult to pull of. We'll see which team goes through, and most likely it'll be City, after moving within just three points of the EPL, they'll know that one is all but over, now it's time to become champions of Europe.
But yes, City is enjoying this position and the red card for PSG means they have a weaker side fielded.
Gana is a very important player for the French Champions and he'll be a big miss, Herrera I think will fill in for him, he'll have a very difficult night against the likes of KDB, Foden and the rest I'm sure.

None of these teams are "much stronger" than the other. The score shouldn't absolutely mislead people. PSG were better in the first half but City developed a better strategy in the second half and took the advantage. I don't think that City's job will be easy in the second leg also.

Agreed,,, like I said, they each took a half and the scoreline does not really reflect it, it could very easily go the other way (just like how PSG were outplayed by Bayern Munich and yet still got the full victory). This is football and a small slice of luck is needed every now and then. City will be facing a big task they know it.

Yes, this time the outplaying team were City here. I like watching football especially because of this. The results of the games could be the opposite of the expectations. This makes the football more attracting. Otherwise, for example bigger teams would always win against their weaker competitors. Then there would be no meaning to watch these games as their results would already be known.

City deserve for that win as like they are playing really awesome I also would like to keep supporting them. From my humble City is more strong side as compare with other opponent at this stage. Soon they will be the Champions of the season no doubt they are playing really entertaining.

Real - Manchester City is gonna be the final IMO.
Real wants to get consolidate the stellar positioning they have as the award competition winning team (no other team is near them with Champions Leauge) while City is ready to become the next top team in Europe for the next 5 years (which is usually the max cycle for a given team).
Man City is my fav at the moment.

I agree that Man City is in the best position, at this moment, to be the "dominant" team for the next 5 years.

But, I also think that in that period of time, there will be many changes that will occur in European football, which they will meet.
I think Zidane's Real has many more reasons to win Champions League again: 1 Zidane has been treated like an idiot in the first half of the season and he will want to find revenge where he knows best, on the pitch 2 I would use Karartma's analogy to say that Zidane's cycle with real is near the end and therefore to conclude it in the best way possible he needs to win the cup (maybe even one more Liga).
For the above reason, Real's my best bet.

Zidane is also aware that he will lose his job if he doesn't win any trophy, championship or Champions League this season.
For Real this is the most important and crucial part of the season but most players are tired and the question is how much longer can they withstand these efforts.
However, here is some good news for Real and Zidane: https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2021/04/30/608c6476e2704e4d508b4632.html
It seems that Marcelo will still arrive in time in London to play this important match for Real  Grin
How many problems for Real before such an important match!

Marcelo is currently in rather weak form for Zidane to rejoice. Greater joy will be the return to service of Mendy and Valverde. But there is no news yet. Zidane is unlikely to be fired even if no trophies are won. The team, which had 57 injuries during the season, is still fighting for two trophies. I think if it were less, then Real Madrid would calmly now be in first place in La Liga.

Logically, it cannot be concluded, that just because Man City won in the first leg, they will have an easy game in the second leg.
PSG will do everything to try to win the match. If you manage to score a goal early, and don't slow down, you have a lot of chances to surprise.

Personally, I think Man City will pass, but he won't have an easy life.
As important as the first match was for both teams, I think the second leg is equally important for both teams. Because Manchester City won the match 2-1. If they had won 3-1 or 3-0, they could have had a lot of worry in the second leg. Guardiola knows very well that PSG is a very strong team. They have the ability to score 3/4 goals against Manchester City. So Manchester City will play the next match with enough importance.

Much stronger than PSG, no, they (Manchester City) are not.

They won and got three points, 2 goals at PSG's home stadium but they are not much stronger than PSG. The match is splitted into two parts: the first half belongs to PSG and the second half belongs to Manchester City. If you watch the match, you will see that PSG missed two great opportunities to expand the gap from 1 - 0 to 2 - 0. What wil happen if PSG score one or two more goals? I believe Manchester City will collapse as they shown in many seasons in Champions League.

Two goals from Manchester City have faults of goalkeeper and defenders of PSG and in my opinion, I don't see any reason to call Man City as a dominating team in that match.

100% with you on this. At this stage, both semifinalists are equal teams on both sides of the fight. Real and Chelsea are equal matches. Same as PSG and City, who are the stronger two of the four.

And both teams dominated each half too,,, so it is all "equal" but City got lucky with their chances. PSG can still win but they have to score two goals minimum. Not impossible:)

Of course, the tie isn't decided just yet, but City would love the position they are in at the moment, PSG will have to stop City from scoring at the Etihad if they are to have a chance of going through, but it's pretty difficult to stop City from scoring, they have so much quality in their side, and they are always in pole position to outscore any team they face.

The games are very close to each other, it is good that we are going to have another one right away so soon. Everyone is still unsure about what is going to happen with the games, let's be honest we have seen 3-0 first games being nothing with 4-0 return games so teams never give up after first game, I understand that and it makes sense.

However we have to realize that Real is a much much better team, does this mean Chelsea can't be in the finals? Obviously not, they will not be backing down neither, and they have a chance to win, every team has a chance to win, that is what makes football fun, however we are talking about the better team winning the first game and then playing again, obviously it is going to be a lot more understandable if Real ended up winning. I believe it is not going to be any different with City game neither, City is a good team and sure PSG is also good and can win, but anyone who beats the opponent on first game has a big advantage.

The only way I think Real Madrid can beat Chelsea in their next meeting is through Penalty kick.
Are you saying Real Madrid doesn't have it in them to win the game within the given 90 minutes??

If you ask me I think they do, besides Madrid isn't known for pushing the game all the way to penalties and I hope it doesn't.

I think Chelsea can't stand Real Madrid in terms of penalty kick. If in their next meeting, they end up playing full time draw, and are given penalty kick, Real Madrid
might wins.
If it gets to penalties its a game of chance at this point and the game can be won by anybody, so don't write either teams off.

So your prediction in the second leg is another 1-1 draw? I don't know about that. The chances for that scoreline is quite slim.

Quote
Real Madrid have the most titles in the champion league, they have won it 13 times since 1955 to 2020.  Real Madrid has also won three
Champion League in a row 2016, 2017 and 2018 which was the last time they won the League.
Well done to them but please explain to me how is this relevant? Do you think Chelsea would care about those previous achievements and chicken out against Real?

Yup it better be.  I don’t mind both EPL clubs there tho.  Cheesy

And if City goes to the final, I’m going to say it again:  We should see Aguero play, esp if it’s vs Real Madrid.  I think they’ll need a pure striker in Aguero up there leading the attack than a false 9 in KDB.

First half will probobly be a closed game because both teams will play with lots of caution to not get an early goal. While second half real madrid should start attacking.Plus with their experience they might go through even if they are down a few players
