After that goal PSG lost its balance and City took over, probably deserving the overall lead even though the 2nd goal was a clear mistake as well. They did not play much better than PSG, for a majority of the game I felt they were the worse team yesterday.
Lol, the second goal was a pure class of a goal you can not classify such beautiful free kick as mistake, the best team won the game, PSG players were just running after the ball the whole 2nd half, they could not register a single shot on target in the 2nd half of the game. Man City had the entire game to themselves.
I don't understand how he called this goal a mistake. This is a pure class. It was a great free-kick. And the whole of the second half was occupied by Manchester City. PSG was not able to attack well in the second half. Manchester City have played well and they deserve this win.
No matter what! but he scored. Poor kick but astonishingly made it goal! 1st Half was poor for City but they turned the tables in the 2nd half. This is how Guardiola's master class prevailed. PSG will have to play their best possible football at Etihad Stadium and need to score two goals minimum. Party is still pending, let's wait and see.
Yeah, this is the point. It doesn't matter how the kick is. He was able to score and Manchester City won the match 2-1. But we have to admit that PSG did not play as well as expected. We expect better gameplay from PSG. Because they have a very strong forward lineup.  Just wait, maybe they will perform better in the second leg.

I actually think they managed the game well before conceding that total fluke of a goal. It was a clear goalkeeper error, there weren't even that many players in front of him.
That was definitely no 'fluke' from Kevin De Bruyne, true he needed a little bit of luck for the ball to go in, but you can as well take nothing away from the quality of the delivery into the box, if it wasn't a quality delivery, then it wouldn't have even troubled Navas, and looking at that goal for a second time, I see no reason to blame Keylor Navas cause John Stones was about to attack that ball, though the ball curled out of his reach, but just that action by John as he tried to attack the ball confused the goalkeeper as he felt the direction of the ball was about to change, it happens quite a lot of times in football.
PSG can still win but they have to score two goals minimum. Not impossible:)
Of course, the tie isn't decided just yet, but City would love the position they are in at the moment, PSG will have to stop City from scoring at the Etihad if they are to have a chance of going through, but it's pretty difficult to stop City from scoring, they have so much quality in their side, and they are always in pole position to outscore any team they face.

Two goals from Manchester City have faults of goalkeeper and defenders of PSG and in my opinion, I don't see any reason to call Man City as a dominating team in that match.
If you look at the statistics, they own the ball 60% (Here). They have more kicks than PSG. Even though it's a mistake, Man City is still good. He is able to take advantage of what you think is the fault of the goalkeeper and defenders. For other teams, it is not certain that they can take advantage of these opportunities. I saw the footage in the second half of Mbape and Neymar that City made no move. Even though in the first chapter they performed well, even Neymar did a nutmeng Kevin De Bruyne. But in the second half they were very depressed, especially after City's first goal.

There is no way the keeper could've stopped the ball it was clearly a defensive error, the ball went to the second bar while the keeper was at the first bar, let's give the credit to Kelvin that was an amazing curling there.

Guardiola is a genius! One of the most beautiful match I've ever seen in my life, great from both sides but with a clear winner! Pep is a football master, the way City was able to find this win is simply astonishing.
This is the team best equipped to raise the cup in Turkey and I can't wait to see if PSG will try to fight back or not.

Well i agree with you that Guardiola is a genius because of his tiki-taka football that he played with barca back in 2009 to 2013. That was really beautiful to watch.
That game yesterday though? I mean come on that was an average match nothing more and PSG was the better team and was clearly dominating ManCity during the first half. Then after the break ManCity scored 2 extremely lucky goals within 7 minutes. From that point on ManCity was the dominating team which is also not really surprising because those 2 lucky goals were just to much for the PSG players to handle and they clearly lost their confidence.

Much stronger than PSG, no, they (Manchester City) are not.

They won and got three points, 2 goals at PSG's home stadium but they are not much stronger than PSG. The match is splitted into two parts: the first half belongs to PSG and the second half belongs to Manchester City. If you watch the match, you will see that PSG missed two great opportunities to expand the gap from 1 - 0 to 2 - 0. What wil happen if PSG score one or two more goals? I believe Manchester City will collapse as they shown in many seasons in Champions League.

100% with you on this. At this stage, both semifinalists are equal teams on both sides of the fight. Real and Chelsea are equal matches. Same as PSG and City, who are the stronger two of the four.

And both teams dominated each half too,,, so it is all "equal" but City got lucky with their chances. PSG can still win but they have to score two goals minimum. Not impossible:)

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
PSG players came to the match with a very bad philosophy, you could agree with me that after they scored the first goal they try to manage the game, they switched to defend an early  1 goal lead thus giving man city the momentum to press them, man city had the whole game under control, PSG was trying to play on the counter attack which didn't yield any result because the midfield was already taken by mancity. We are having another English Final and nothing is stopping it now.

It seems that Mbappe's poor performance took PSG to the ground. If he plays well the whole team performance going upwards and yesterday he wasn't good at all.
Anyway, I think that PSG still has chances but it's not easy at all. Man City was and is the favorite in this duel and IMHO the winner of this season CL...

I agree with what you say, but PSG can reserve some surprises!!

it is amazing how much he has done so far and I would not take it for granted

remember, the deeper we go to the championship the more difficult it is to predict the outcome of "fight"
After PSG conceded the first goal, they immediately began to play nervously, there was more aggression, and this never leads to a good result, and as a result - a red card. I think that PSG has very few chances of reaching the final.

When Paris SG took the lead, I thought they were going to win this game. Failing to keep the score and scoring 2 goals in 7 minutes caused them to leave the match with a defeat. Now we can say that Manchester City is in the final.  In the rematch, Paris needs at least 2 goals without scoring themselves. Manchester does not give this advantage.

PSG will have to work really hard in the rematch to be able to eliminate City. But they even lost their home game and City play their home games really superbly. Maybe PSG managed to beat Bayern 3-2 away but I don't think they will be able to do it against City too.

I would say Manchester City approached the game well after that. They started giving off the ball too easily unlike in first half and that really gave City more possession and they didn't hurried things after that and that paid off well. First goal was a lucky one and second goal was all due to the poor free kick wall but it was really well struck by Mahrez and what a moment Cityzens had yesterday. They have good away goal advantage but you really can't be sure yet untill the last leg.

Good game! In the second half, City started to make a lot of sense about PSG and they ended up not being able to take it.
In fact, PSG completely lost control of the situation, eventually seeing a player sent off.

I guessed PSG would win, but I was wrong. I was surprised to even see the statistics that Man City had superior ball possession. PSG looks changed after conceding 1 goal. They look very tired, or maybe they have fallen mentally. Pep is really a genius he is very good at reading the situation. In the second half City appeared better.

These results make PSG have a small chance of qualifying, the 2nd leg playing in England is very tough. Maybe I think that currently PSG only have a 30% chance of qualifying for the final.

Man City looked much stronger than PSG... I think that now we know exactly one of the finalists! Grin
I wouldn't want to see an English final, so I expect to see Real Madrid in the final... Chelsea is a good club, but I think Zidane deserves the final fight!

It depends on how you rate this game... PSG looked much weaker than Bayern, they had a lot of problems in defense, but they were able to win and get to the semifinals! Now they also had a lot of problems in defense, and Man City took advantage of that and were able to win the match! That's why they played much better than PSG... This is obvious to me!
PSG should have themselves to blame for not having a clinical finish, you don't miss clear-cut scoring chances at this semi-final stage this is not a group stage match, Neymar has been the major culprit here once you missed your chances your opponent will take advantage of it and punish you, that was what played out yesterday Man City utilized their chances and scored their goals while a red card to GANA compounded PSG problems, however Man City can still redeem their image in the second leg if they up their game its not over yet.

In the second half, there were a totally different Manchester City. They literally ruled the game and made a superb comeback. De Bruyne's goal was really interesting that the cross went into the right corner of the goal directly. Mahrez's goal was also nice that Navas couldn't even see the ball. City have a great advantage now and I think they will finish PSG in the second leg.

It wouldn't actually matter for me to see Chelsea or Real Madrid in the final.
